My intention with this study is to evaluate, as a singer and a voice teacher, a number of routines for daily vocal Practice through practical application. Seven different routines are presented, five of them originating from interviews with Swedish vocal teachers and singers and two chosen from literature. These routines are then tried out and evaluated. Using the results of these evaluations as a basis, I make an attempt at formulating my own personal Practice routine, optimal for my own needs. I will also try to address motivational issues related to Practice with hints acquired through the interviews.

Hedemyr?s project has been about finding a meaningful position of utterance and a language for her Practice. The general theme is performative art in public spaces.This text is a meta-narrative about this development and transformation process. It is also a proposal for choreographic Practice as text, and thus a suggestion for what performative text could be.Her master project includes three intertwined parts. The foundation is an ongoing ?doing?.

Läkemedelsbranschen är idag hårt konkurrensutsatt vilket skapar incitament till förändring av de interna processerna av vilka inköp utgör en. Läkemedelsbranschen har av tradition ansetts ha en eftersatt inköpsverksamhet för att vara en så mogen bransch. Vår undersökning gick ut på att jämföra en Best Practice modell för inköp med inköpsverksamheten i läkemedelsbranschen. För läkemedelsbranschen finns helt klart utvecklingsområden och utmaningar i förhållande till den gängse inköpsteorin och Best Practice modellerna. Vid en jämförelse med Best Practice modell för inköp och vårt fall identifierade vi ett antal avvikelser beroende på rationella, politiska och ekonomiska orsaker.

Practical and theoretical learning are methods that are used in schools as a way to prepare students for the working life. Within the practical learning knowledge is not only acquired to learn in Practice, but the students must also be able to apply their theoretical knowledge to what he/she does. Against this background, the aim of the study was to investigate the importance of practical learning for students in college / university level and how they are experiencing the stress that may arise out of the loss of practical learning during their education, as well as their vision for working life after completing their education. The population of the study consisted of N = 36, which 18 of these had used both practical and theoretical learning and the remainder had only used theoretical learning. The method was a questionnaire survey with a high proportion of fixed alternative answers according to likert scales.

This examination paper defines how educators work with esthetic, and esthetic learning in pre-school. I have done research by interviewing four pedagogues. The result shows that the pedagogues does work with esthetic and Practice esthetic learning processes, but their work shift. Some pedagoues Practice strong esthetic and some Practice more modest esthetic. Some of the pedagogues are more aware than other of the esthetics influens of the childrens life long learning.

The purpose of this study is to examine to what extent there is a discrepancy between the formal guiding documents and the employees experiences of the activity at Kronobergshäktet. Furthermore, is it possible that any discrepancy could be explained by institutional imbalance? My main theories are normative institutionalism and a modified type of institutional analysis. The model consists of three parts ?values (a common value-system), rules and Practice (the unpredictable reality) and it assumes a reciprocal relationship between them.

AbstractInformation and information seeking have always been important parts of society. How behavioural patterns of information seeking manifest themselves are partly due to individual prerequisites and partly due to the Practice where the seeking of information is conducted.The aim of this study is to investigate a group of newly examined physicians? experiences of information seeking behaviour in their educational Practice and in their professional Practice. The two Practices are related to each other but still very different. This makes it interesting to study whether individuals? information seeking behaviour changes when they move from the educational Practice to the professional.The theoretical framework for the current study is a socio-cultural one.

This thesis investigates how inventory management is Practiced at a Swedish sawmill company, how Practice differs from theory in this field and how the company could make more use of this theory. To do this we have performed a study on relevant literature and compared our findings with a field study on Moelven Valåsen AB. Our analysis shows that a large gap between theory and Practice exists. We identify several reasons to this, including some sector specific problems when calculating cost rate for timber inventories. Suggestions on solutions to these problems and an example of how a cost rate can be estimated with relatively simple means are presented.

What impact does the Swedish society have on the Practice of Islam? That is the main topic of this thesis.As a result of migration, the distinction between a specific region and a culture or religion has been mixed. Islam is not just part of the Middle East but is more and more institutionalized in the Western, and the Swedish society. Sweden, which is one on the most secular countries in the world, has developed into a country where the view on religion have been privatized. Religion can be Practiced, but not in public.

This thesis aims to explore how medical social workers/counselors perform their workwith people during crisis and how they accumulate and Practice scientific crisisknowledge. This study is an empirical research paper based on qualitative interviewsconducted with eight medical social workers. The data was analysed with Kvalesmodel for categorization, which constitutes the basis of the research. The results ofthe research was then analysed with the use of Cullbergs crisis theory and a model ofevidence based Practice which is described by Topor and Denhov. The results showthat the medical social workers Practice the evidence based Practice model, describedby Topor and Denhov, in combination with Cullbergs crisis theory.

In order to get full understanding of management culture and Practice one must understand the underlying factors. This thesis examines the philosophical foundations for management in the People's Republic of China with its primary focus on the period 1949 -2012. China with its strong economic development in the recent decades is becoming an increasingly important actor in the world economy. Interaction between China and the rest of the word is considerable and currently Chinese firms increasingly expand outside China. This gives further importance especially for westerners to gain a deeper understanding of Chinese views and customs with regard to management.

The purpose of this thesis is to shed light on how evidence-based librarian and information Practice (EBLIP) is understood and practised at some Swedish hospital libraries, and also to analyze how EBLIP functions as a strategy to bridge the gap between research and Practice as described by Haddow & Klobas. The theoretical framework for the study is partly based on Haddow & Klobas description of the gap between research and Practice in the field of LIS and partly a description of the EBP-process which plays a key role in the use of EBLIP. Interviews have been done with four people, three librarians, all with management experience, and an academic development officer, active at three different hospital libraries where EBLIP is Practiced. All informants believed that it is important to make use of research results in order to improve services and Practice. In their efforts to apply the research findings the informants face a number of hindrances, which indicates a gap between research and Practice.

The purpose of this thesis is to present a review of research themes and Practice in the field of art image registration. The objectives of the review are twofold. The primary task is to distinguish which problems, in regard to theory and Practice, that have been dealt with in the field of art image registration and the secondary task is to investigate which discursive, institutional and tool-related factors have had an impact on theoretical discussions and Practice in the art image domain. The empirical content in the review is structured according to four epistemological viewpoints and is analyzed with a domain analytical approach. The result of the study is that two major problems are frequently discussed in the art image domain, namely lack of standardization and which discourse is the best suited for registration of art images.

This master?s thesis aims to study the Practice of separating popular genres of fiction from the rest of the fiction stock, often seen at public libraries. The method being used is critical discourse analysis according to Norman Fairclough?s three-dimensional conception of discourse. The textual dimension of this analysis is the book shelf itself and the sociocultural Practice is the everyday Practice at a public library of supplying and mediating books to the visitors.
