Many of the young people who become Politicians drop out after a short while. The conclusion of this is that the Swedish municipalities have problems to engage young people in politics.The purpose of this essay is to study and try to find out what young people think about politics? This is done with personally interviews with 7 young municipality Politicians from the municipality of Eda.The specific research questions are:? Who are they which became young municipality Politicians?? What was the reason that they became Politicians?? How do they look at municipality politics?? Which roll and function does the young people have as a municipality Politician?? What do they think should be done to get more young people to engaged in politics and become a municipality Politician?The young Eda Politician is a girl living in a house in the country and she has middle education.

Today, we see tendencies of Politicians being more active in social media using selfies. According to previous research using selfies is associated with being self-centered and narcissistic. It is not known though what implications the behavior will have for a selfie-using Politician in terms of chances of being elected. This study aims to contribute to the research on political communication and social media behavior. More specifically the study intends to investigate whether there is a difference between voters' views if a Politician uses selfies or not, and whether there is a difference by gender.

This article discusses desirable political representation within the framework of representative democracy. In the desirable representation it is the responsibility of the Politician to balance authoritative decision making with responsiveness towards the voters. The article intends to make visible the ethical complexity within representative democracy. Ethically the commission to represent is further complicated because the political parties constitute a central role in the political life and request loyalty of the Politician. At the same time the Politician is elected by the voters and thus the representative has to balance the dual representation.The Politician can meet supplementary but also contradictory norms of action in decision taking.

In this essay, the aim is to study the role the Politicians play in relation to the people they represent. This is manly a theoretically study, which focus is on the theories behind the way we choose to identify the role of Politicians. We ascribe different underlying values to the role of Politicians and as a result from these different values a conflict can arise. Two central terms in my discussion are the way the Politicians represent people's values and meanings combined to the possibilities for the people to hold the Politicians responsible. Depending on which ethic values you put to the role, you have different views about how the Politicians should act.

Politics in today's society unfolding more and more in the media, but the media content is limited. Therefore, the media must constantly make choices, choices which are specific to each object. The purpose of this study is to examine how Olof Palme is portrayed as a Politician and private individual in the documentary film Palme - älskad och hatad, and also how Carl Bildt is portrayed as a Politician and private individual in the documentary film Bildt - excellensen.To study the documentary films I use a qualitative textual analysis with a focus on a narrative analysis. In the narrative analysis, I have been inspired by the categoricalcontent- based approach to study the documentary films. In my analysis, with the help of theories of mediatization of politics, documentaries and stories, I interpret and analyze the films to make them more understandable.The conclusions of the study is that Palme in his role as a Politician is portrayed as a humane person who cares about the individual.

The purpose of this essay is to examine if there is any difference in the style of conversation between a municipal Politician and a Politician in parliament? In order to answer this question I have created two sub-questions that are more precise. The first question is: Are the municipal Politicians more open to cooperate with Politicians from other parties than the Politicians from parliament? And the second question is: Is the rhetoric between the Politicians in parliament different than the rhetoric between the municipal Politicians?My study is a comparative case study with two different groups of Politicians. With the help of a survey I have tried to examine if there are differences in the use of language in the daily work for the Politicians.

While focusing on ethos and its development, the following paper analyses the communicative strategies used by Germany's ex-minister of defense, Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg. Within his one and a half year tenure he had to handle continuing accusations against policy and character. Guttenberg, who in many eyes was seen as Germany's most popular Politician and whose ethos, therefore, prior to the first crisis could be described as strong, is loosing his trustworthiness among the military and other Politicians the longer each crisis continues.The purpose of this study is to identify the communicative pattern of Mr. Guttenberg, which in the end lead to his resignation, while his popularity continues to be strong.

The main purpose of this master thesis is to investigate the information seeking of lay Politicians, part-time Politicians and professional Politicians in connection with the possible upcoming fusion of the two administrative regions, Västra Götaland and Värmland. The focus of this study has been to study how Politicians use and evaluate information and sources of information, and to investigate if there are any differences in how different categories of Politicians seek information. Seven Politicians were interviewed using semi-structured questions, and a phenomenographic approach was used to analyze the data. In Sweden there are few available studies of how Politician seek information, but some international studies have focused on information needs, information sources, selection and evaluation of information. I have used previous research, and data from respondents to compile and analyze my results in three descriptive categories.

The aim of this paper is to describe, visualise- and analyse media’s discursive representations of female Politicians in Swedish printed media. The focus of the analysis is to show if, and how these images can be understood and interpreted in terms of a socially constructed gender stereotyped suborder. The paper takes it's theoretical and methodological departure in the discourse analysis, which is combined with feminist political theory. Feminist political theory is concretised in the use of what Yvonne Hirdman calls the "gender system" which arranges the sexes into their respective genders and is based upon two rules/principles/logics: 1) the rule of distinctive separation, and 2) the male norm. Closely related to the aim of the paper lies also the critical theoretic assumption that people has to be aware of their own part in the production and reproduction of the discourse in order to change make a change.

AbstraktBegreppet främlingsfientlig använd's ofta i media om Sverigedemokraterna efter valframgångarna 2006. Indirekt ger detta väljarna samma stämpel. Är det främlingsfientlighet som får väljarna att rösta på partiet? Är det något annat väljarna vill ha sagt med sina röster? Vad tror Sverigedemokraterna's politiker är anledningen bakom framgången? Det vill jag ta reda på i denna uppsat's.För att uppnå syftet att få väljarna's uppfattning har jag genomfört ett femtiotal intervjuer där mer än hälften har varit Sverigedemokrater. Elva personer är dessutom ledande politiker inom partiet.

Eskilstuna municipality is working to be a municipality that the people who are living in it are proud of. In a way to do that two students have examined what changes are good or bad when there outdoor environment are rebuilding and changing By doing interviews with the people who are living next to two streets that already have been going through big changes and during those interviews the inhabitants have hade opportunity to explain what they are seeing as good or band changes in the surroundings. The results from these interviews have been compared to interviews with a Politician`s vision for the area and white-collar workers that are working for the Eskilstuna municipality. If you want to shorten this report to a couple of sentence it would be:By planting trees and busses and letting the Politicians that have a vision be part of the planning process the people that are living in that area is going to be satisfied..

The definition of an expectation gap is, when the local municipal Politician and the audited apprehensions and expectations gets apart about what auditors are going to work with and what they are going to accomplish.Svenska Kommunförbundet writes in their publication Fullmäktige och revisionen (2004) that the communication between the auditors and the audited is important so the final result becomes great. Apart from the communication, the recurring information about auditing is important to increase the knowledge and understanding. Are there expectations on what the auditors are going to review and discover among the audited, when there probably are expectations from the inhabitants on the auditing. This leads us to our purpose of our essay which is to investigate and describe if there exist an expectation gap between the auditors and the social welfare boards in the primary municipality. The method we used to collect our data was a guided telephone interview with 66 persons.

This thesis is an attempt to study if the school cinema project in Kungsbacka is an establishedactivity. Qualitative interviews have been performed with the cinema owner, the projectleader and a Politician of the municipality, about their views on the project. Teachers andpupils have also been interviewed. In the case of an established activity, the thesis also attemptsto answer what causes have contributed to such an establishment.The study shows that the school cinema project is an established activity in Kungsbacka andthat all parties involved are satisfied with it. The project has guaranteed the cinema's existence.According to the thesis, the reasons for the establishment are that govemment funds enabiedthe project to initiate.
