Rapporten är skriven för att dokumentera den befintliga installationen av ballast-, läns- och brandsystem ombord på fartyget M/S Calmare Nyckel. I enlighet med uppdragets specifika-tioner kommer även förslag på förbättringar att presenteras. Förslagen bygger till största del på fakta från en leverantör av ventilkomponenter och av klassen ställda krav på installationen. Förbättringarna beaktar i huvudsak minskade risker och ökad säkerhet. De största skillnaderna med de nya förslagen är att länsvattensystemet skiljs från de övriga systemen, de viktigaste funktionerna fjärrstyrs med hjälp av Pneumatik och systemets komponenter märks enligt branchstandard..

Dagens garagedomkrafter är svåra att förflytta, där positionering ofta kräver många manuella rörelser och relativt höga manuella krafter. I samarbete med REHOBOT Hydraulics AB utfördes ett projekt fokuserat på att underlätta förflyttningen av garagedomkrafter. Enligt uppdraget ska detta lösas med hjälp av Pneumatik som skapar en lufthinna mellan domkraftens undersida och golvet. Detta innebär en konstruktionslösning med mycket låg friktion, vilket i sin tur möjliggör enkel manuell förflyttning av domkraften utan riktningskrav.En förstudie utfördes som undersökte konkurrerande garagedomkrafter, ljudergonomi, kvaliteten på verkstadsgolv samt metoder för att bära en massa med hjälp av aerostatik. Funktionsmodeller skapades utifrån de aerostatiska metoderna.

This project have been made whit Krima Rostfritt AB. They manufacture a number if different add on products for trucks and now wants to develop there locket were the hatch opens upwards after requests from customers. The costumers have requested a pneumatic opening to make the opening procedure easier.Krima has there biggest markets in Sweden and Norway, because of that the locket has to meet whit the regulations of these countries. The locket also has to meet the demands that Krima has determined from experience to maintain there high standard.The project has resulted in a solution where the locket and cylinder are linked whit a strut. In this work an assessment of the compressed air system in the facilities of Vattenfall Heat Uppsala has been conducted. The facilities constitutes, among others, a combined heat and power plant, and two waste incineration plants. The compressed air is supplied primarily by seven rotary screw compressors and yearly electric energy consumption in these has been determined. Furthermore, the usage of compressed air has been mapped in order to find processes with energy savings potential. Several suggestions how to reduce the usage of compressed air have been presented, resulting in decreased need of electric energy and reduced CO2-emissions.The results show that total need of electric energy in the compressors, during a standard production year, amounts to 5.83 GWh.

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate different methods do measure velocity of pistons in pneumatic cylinders at Bosch Rexroth Teknik AB. Through information of velocity the adjustment of a cylinders damping can be done easier.A future transducer will be used by salesmen, service personnel and customers. This requires a sensor that is easy to apply and use. It is also desirable that the sensor is cheap. A number of possible methods to measure velocity have been presented.

This thesis is basically a design project aimed to find a safe and reliable automatic safety device, which is designed to be suitable for highly automated industrial situations. This device fits with ABB / Jokab Safety?s fence systems. These are built up around machines to create safety distances. The automatic protection device assist the operator in situations when loading or going in and out of the danger zone.

Real-time systems are required to answer to external stimuli within a specified time-period. For this to be possible, the systems behaviour must be predictable. The use of active databases in real-time systems introduces unpredictability in the system, e.g. due to their use of active rules. The behaviour in active databases is usually specified in ECA-rules.

This degree project has been carried out in cooperation with Gedevelop in Helsingborg.Gedevelop has developed a camera that can calculate the weight of a liquid glass mass.Because of the density and viscosity changes in the glass, the weight information issometimes incorrect given. Glass industry is today addressing the problem by an operatorperforming a manual weighing of a few bottles which, in turn, calibrates the camera system.The project aimed to develop an automated system to control the weighing of glass bottles forglass industries. This system must be so flexible that it can be easily mounted on plants withdifferent production equipment around the world.The project includes design and construction of equipment that meets the requirementsformulated together with Gedevelop. Work has been done both in Halmstad and Helsingborgand has included both calculations and review of the theory to understand the forces thatinfluence the design of different construction parts. A prototype was produced that meets theoperating requirements for the design and can be used in testing features.

Compressed air is a low efficiency media, and is thus very expensive to produce. This thesis work began by mind mapping how to create savings on the compressed air system at Billerud Skärblacka AB. Certain issues have been chosen for further studies.In order to identify the consumption of compressed air at PM 8 and 9, several measurements were made. At PM 8 there were not found any pressure drop, only large pressure variations for short periods of time. The causes of these pressure variations were not established.

Hälsoteknikcentrum Halland arbetar i olika projekt för att ta fram nya tekniska lösningar på problem inom sjukvården, tillsammans med representanter från Hallands sjukhus Halmstad tog de fram problemställningen med den medicinska avfallshanteringen. Idag upplever sjuksköterskor och vaktmästare att hanteringen av operationsavfall är en obehaglig arbetsuppgift då den innebär att handskas med kontaminerat avfall, sjukhuset är därför måna om att ta fram en produkt som komprimerar avfallet, vilket skulle förbättra arbetsmiljön.Produkten ska komprimera 150-liters säckar med avfall från operationer, detta ska ske på ett användarvänligt sätt utifrån specifika krav. Kravspecifikationen togs fram i samråd med sjukhuspersonal. Genom olika experiment undersöktes flera olika metoder för att komprimera en säck, den mest lämpliga metoden för ändamålet blev att pressa säcken. Efter att ha utvecklat idén till en fungerande metod konstruerades det en prototyp.
