The task was to design and manufacture a submersible displacement pump working with the wobble Plate principle. The main task for the Wobble Plate pump is to be used as a sewage pump for smaller households or dewatering pump in environments where small flows and high pressures are acquired. For these purposes ITT Flygt sell a screw pump, PC-Grinder 3068. The hydraulic part of the PC-Grinder is manufactured by a subcontractor. Therefore ITT Flygt wants to evaluate an alternative to their screwpump PC-Grinder, which can be entirely manufactured by them self.

This degree project illustrates newsprint and waterless offset. A new news press was introduced at Drupa-00, Cortina from KBA, which is the first news press dedicated the waterless technique. With actual statistics from the company in question an investigation was made whether their production fits this press. It came out in the investigation that the production of the company, from statistics, fits this press very good. A table was made where different timeschedules were accounted for the new press, with semi- and full automatic Plate changing for present and to be added papers.

This thesis applies to a novel steam expander, one part of a steam engine system, a wobble Plateengine. The piston in the expander moves axially with the outgoing rotating shaft and is locatedon a Plate, why the engine type is called axial engine. When steam is applied to the plungers thePlate wobbles creating a rotation on the shaft going thru the wobble Plate. The steam expander issupposed to be used in exhaust gas recovery (bottoming cycle) applications and small scaleenergy production. The commissioner is Ranotor Utveckling AB.

This exam is about student?s perception of food and dietary advice. I illustrate food and eating from the youth's own perspective. The aim is to investigate how students perceive as "good" diet. It also reveals that students at the surveyed schools have poor knowledge of what is Plate model.

Detta examensarbete har genomförts på Linde Maskiner AB i Lindesberg. Syftet med arbetet var att effektivisera arbetsflödet för en av Linde Maskiner viktigaste produkter, Front Plate. Man vill effektivisera flödet med avseende på aspekter som att minska olika former av slöserier samt att se över kvalitetsäkring över monteringsprocessen. Lean har studerats djupgående och ligger som en teoretisk grund för projektet. Lean anser vi dessutom ligga till grund för en modernisering av ett traditionellt företag.

A group of two people, Jelena Durkan and Johan von Heideken, have worked together on an assignment from the company August Lundh AB. The company manufactures plastic products for all sizes of catering establishments. The basis for this thesis is a pre-study which shows that many of the users would be more drawn to the Plates that the company manufactures, if there was a motif on the Plates.This thesis will present the method of application for the motif that best benefits the company, with regard to the requirements placed on the motif, application method and the costs. The group found five relevant methods that were more carefully examined and compared to each other. Those are:Laser engraving, Hot-stamping, Injection molding, In-mould labeling and Pad-printing.The tools that have been used to solve this problem are: Requirement specification, QFD and OEE.

Koagulas-negativa stafylokocker (KNS) klassas som en viktig del av hudens normalflora. Vid skador på hudens barriär som en inläggning av centrala venkatetrar (CVK) innebär kan dock KNS få tillträde till normalt sterila lokaler där de kan orsaka infektion. Vid utodling av borttagna CVK från patienter resistensbestäms bara några enstaka kolonier vilket gör det lätt att missa förekomst av flera olika stafylokock-kloner. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur ofta en eller flera olika KNS-kloner förekommer på CVK från patienter, samt om det förekommer gemensamma kloner av KNS på CVK från olika patienter. Kolonier från CVK prov analyserades med den biokemiska fingerprintingmetoden Phene Plate-system (PhP).

The master thesis ?Mechanical Integration of an IR-detector in a Micro Cooler? has beenperformed at FLIR Systems AB in Danderyd. FLIR Systems is a world leader in the design,manufacture and marketing of thermal imaging camera systems.The thesis project is divided into to two areas, Production Method and Noise.The Production Method concerns the positioning of a detector on the cold finger within the IRcamera.The detector has to be positiond with very high accuracy at the center of the cold finger,so it can be placed in line with the optical axis to avoid movement of the picture during zooming.The positioning of the detector is at present done with the help of specially designed guides on aPlate on top of the cold finger. The design workes well but the special machining needed for thisPlate is very expensive.The goal concerning the production method was to derive a new more cost effective method forthe assembling and positioning of the detector on the cold finger by replacing the guides on thePlate with a reusable equipment or some other alignement operation.Several concept ideas have been generated with the help of concept generation methods in theform of concept classification trees and concept combinational tables. Two of these conceptswere selected to be further refined.

The county hospital of Dalarna has for the last couple of years carried through a process of digitalization. The result is that within the county it exists image Plate systems from two different manufacturers. In an attempt to create a tool for dose optimization and dose surveillance the county of Dalarna would like to investigate if the exposure index from Agfa and Fuji is suitable as a dose indicator. An investigation of the exposure index, S, from Fuji has already been done. This thesis has been continuing the investigation by evaluating the stability of the exposure index, lgM, from Agfa.

The shooting sport is one of the most widespread sports in the world and it isbeing practice in most countries. Based on their own experiences, in competition -and hobby shooting, the client M4Solutions found a demand and need for ashooting target that is manufactured in Sweden.The purpose of the project has been to develop, with the help of Marcus Walldén,two shooting targets from idea to finished product. These two shooting targets,Plate Rack Target and Dueling Tree, would each be equipped with a mechanicalresetting system but will in the future have the ability to be provided with anelectronic resetting system.The project from the client was divided into two theses. One of these two, writtenby Marcus Walldén, focused on the tripod parts and the overall design work forboth Plate Rack Target and Dueling Tree. The thesis that is presented in thisreport have focused on resetting systems, the design of protective Plates and otherperipherals for both shooting targets.This work has primarily been in CAD environment where design, constructionand development has been given free rein.

Avdelningen för reaktorteknologi på Alfa Laval har identifierat svårigheter vid förmedlingen av kunskap till potentiella kunder. Examensarbetet innefattar utveckling och produktion av en film avsedd för utbildning och marknadsföring av Alfa Lavals flödesreaktorer, ART® Plate Reactors, för att förbättra Alfa Lavals sätt att förmedla kunskap till och fånga intresse hos potentiella kunder på mässor.Målet med examensarbetet är att filmen ska användas på kemiteknikmässor där reaktorerna ställs ut, och syftet med arbetet var att med mässbesökarnas förkunskaper som bas utveckla en film som väcker intresse och samtidigt fungerar som ett lärandemedel.Genom intervjuer har information om hur mässor går till, önskemål om filmens utformning, samt bedömning av besökarnas förkunskaper samlats in. Dessa intervjuer, samt litteraturstudier inom området för kemiska reaktorer och lärande med animation och kommunikation på mässor har legat till grund för arbetet med framtagandet av filmen.En storyboard utvecklades, och lade grunden för produktionen av filmen som gjordes i samarbete med filmbyrån Upper/First i Malmö. AbstractThe purpose of this study is to examine how children interact with each other and what social positions they assume when using the learning pad. The social positions reffered to is the Owner, the Participant and the Spectator, defined by Ljung Djärf (2004). According to Ljung Djärf (2004), the Owner is defined as the one in control of the mouse and keyboard. The Owner is expected to be in charge of what is happening on the screen. The Participant is typically found on a chair near the computer.
