Det finns huvudsakligen tre olika sätt att konstruera ett Partitionerat system på: Federerad arkitektur, Integrerad Modulär Avionik (IMA) med ARINC 653 eller IMA med virtualisering. I den här rapporten undersöks de olika arkitekturernas egenskaper och vilka möjligheter som finns för certifiering av dem. Efter den teoretiska undersökningen har Virtualisering, och framförallt Xen, valts ut för en testimplementation och tillförlitlighetstester.Testimplementationen består av fyra Partitioner där varje Partition har sin specifika uppgift att lösa. Den fjärde Partitionen används för att undersöka hur Xen hanterar en Partition som aggressivt nyttjar I/O, processor eller arbetsminne.Testerna visar att Xen har en svag punkt: all I/O hanteras via en egen, speciell, Partition. Denna Partition saknar dessutom möjligheter att prioritera I/O från specifika Partitioner.

People move between countries and establish connections all over the world. This results in a need to solve problems with cross-border inheritances and Partitions of joint property. Today these situations are regulated by the countries? own international private law. EU has adopted a constitution that harmonizes rules of jurisdiction and applicable law for inheritances but not the Partition of joint property.

Syftet med detta arbete var att genom prestandatester undersöka den förbättring i läs- och skrivhastighet samt medelaccesstid som kan uppnås då data placeras på de yttre sektionerna av hårddiskens skivor, jämfört med om data placeras över hela hårddiskskivornas yta. En hårddisk har högre överföringshastighet i den yttersta sektionen av hårddisken och lägre överföringshastighet i den innersta sektionen. Arbetet analyserade den påverkan på prestanda som ovan nämnda dataplacering har på en enskild hårddisk och olika RAID-konfigurationer. Rapporten är intressant då det är lättare att med informationen som presenteras i rapporten, planera hårddiskkonfigurationer som leder till optimerad prestanda. En experimentell metod användes för att utreda prestandaskillnaderna.

1999 auktoriserade FN:s säkerhetsråd fredsinsatsen där UNMIK fick mandat attpolitiskt administrera och bygga upp provinsen Kosovo. Vår uppsats syftar till attstudera de etniska motsättningarna mellan kosovoalbaner och serber i Kosovounder UNMIK:s styre och även att studera UNMIK:s hantering avmotsättningarna samt de båda gruppernas förhållande till UNMIK. Vi gör dettagenom en beskrivande fallstudie som främst inriktar sig på vetenskapliga artiklaroch rapporter. Vi granskar hur de etniska motsättningarna har fått negativakonsekvenser för freden i Kosovo. Det har bildats en Partition mellan de bådagrupperna och etniskt motiverat våld har förekommit.

The report is the result of a master thesis at ENEA AB during the fall of 2009. Itaims to create a specification of flash memory management system which focuseson power efficiency and low RAM usage for embedded systems, and to design andimplement a prototype of such a system to facilitate further development toward thecreated specification. The system used by ENEA today is a Flash Translation Layer(FTL). It has a complex structure which prohibits modifications and customization,therefore a new flash memory management system needs to be developed.The suggested solution uses a translation layer called Metadata FTL (MFTL), wherefile system metadata and userdata are separated from each other in order to improveperformance. The Partition holding userdata uses a block-level mapped translationlayer system called Fully Associative Sector Translation FTL.

The essay deals with the idea of melancholia as an exclusively male feeling associated with geniality and eminence, as it is shown in the letters of three romantic men. These letters were written by the philosopher Benjamin Höijer, the poet P.D.A Atterbom, and the musician Adolf Fredrik Lindblad to their female friends Henriette von Rosenstein, Euphrosyne, and Malla Silfverstolpe. Romantic masculinity is a neglected topic that is in need of further research. An essential characteristic of romanticism is the appreciation of feeling. According to the traditional dualistic gender division though, women represented sensibility, while men instead were associated with reason.
