AbstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate how seven homosexual men in the age between 18 and 26 years experience Openness with their sexuality in Stockholm. We wish to investigate how these men experience and handle their everyday life in a community characterized by a heteronormative foundation. We will focus on how they handle their Openness in an urban environment and if they experience any limitations dependent on the situation or surroundings they live in, and also how they handle these situations. The study is hermeneutically inspired where seven life story interviews are analyzed within the theoretical frameworks provided by Connell, Goffman, Foucault and Queer theory.The results show that the respondents? Openness varies depending on a variety of factors where surroundings, situations and previous experiences are influential.

The purpose of the thesis is to study three centralopen access declarations with the aim of uncovering the different conceptualizations of Openness found withinthese texts. Leaning on the theoretical position known as actor-network theory, the declarations role within a surroundingnetwork is explored by focusing on how Openness as a concept has been produced and reproduced bycentral actors. Two overarching questions frames the study: How is Openness conceptualized within the declarations?And how can Openness, as a concept, be understood as an effect generated by a larger network?The first part of the study focuses on the first question.

Personlighet och situationsfaktorer har olika betydelse för emotionsreglering i olika yrken

Personlighetsdragen Openness och extraversion respektive situationsfaktorerna variation, intensitet, samt frekvens och deras påverkan på emotionsregleringsstrategierna reappraisal samt suppression skiljer sig inom yrkesgrupperna vård respektive handel. Åtta regressions-analyser med data från sammanlagt 178 anställda visade att (1) inom vården har extraversion, Openness, samt frekvens betydelse för reappraisal, och intensiteten påverkar suppression, och (2) för handel visade sig Openness och situationen som helhet ha betydelse för suppression, medan inga samband kunde påvisas för reappraisal. Skillnaderna tyder på att det finns ett behov av fortsatt forskning inom emotionsreglering, inriktad på skillnader mellan olika yrkesgrupper..

Självkänsla har befunnits ha en relation med de olika personlighetsdimensionerna i Big Five. Dock har olika självaspekters roll inte belysts i tidigare studier. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka relationen mellan inre och yttre aspekter av självkänsla och personlighet. Studien baseras på en enkätundersökning där 74 psykologistudenter på Stockholms universitet deltog. En multivariat variansanalys visade att en signifikant effekt av bassjälvkänsla och förvärvad självkänsla på Big Five dimensionerna fanns.

This paper discuss the possibilities to improve the Swedish political nomination system. It brings up some of the values and norms that can be used to change the existing system. Values as Openness, the demand of responsibility and also if there is values from the American spoils system that can be used in the Swedish system. A minor purpose is to discuss the part of the parliament within the nomination process. To investigate this I have some theoretical starting points and a self constructed analysis tool.

Etik, öppenhet och relationer : Svenska PR-konsulters syn på sitt arbete

This essay concerns PR-consultants and their view on their work. The purpose was to find out which type of communication they use in contact with the target. By target, we mean the group of people the employer wants to reach with help of the PR-consultant. For example: Jägarförbundet wants to get help from a PR-consultant to influence someone in the government so that Swedish hunters can shoot more wolves, than the target group is the one in the government. We also wanted to find out if the PR-consultants are aware of the image the public have of them and if they are trying to change it into a more positive one, by using more ethics, Openness and to have more focus on the relations aspect.  PR in the future with new social media (like Internet) was also a subject, where we wanted to know how much they involve social media in their work.  Our main questions were:How do PR-consultants relate to Openness in communication, ethics and social media?Which one of Grunig?s PR-models is most occuring in the PR-consultants work? We made a qualitative study where we carried out interviews with six PR-consultants.

Har ökad öppenhet påverkat den automatiska stabilisatorn? : -en makroekonomisk paneldatastudie

This paper investigates the automatic stabilizer and the underlying factors behind its function. The paper includes both a literature review and an empirical analysis. The literature review discusses the IS-LM and Mundell-Fleming models and different ways to quantify the automatic stabilizer. Based on the theory, the relationship between volatility in GDP and the size of the automatic stabilizers is then analyzed with the help of regressions. Our main result shows a negative relation between these two variables.

This is a study of innovative technologies that are primarily based on collaboration with a client who in this study is called FTG, because they chose to be anonymous. A problem set has been presented, analyzed and worked with. The result of this is that we found some weaknesses in the leadership that have influenced the motivation in the workgroup negatively. The study has focus on changing leadership in order to increase motivation and Openness to innovation within the company. With this focus on change in leadership, we have done a basic search for relevant theories related to the topic and found interesting data to work with.

Personlighetens inverkan på aktivt och passivt jobbsökande, karriärambition och arbetstillfredställelse

Previous research has focused limited attention on how personality affects job search for university educated people in work and no studies have focused on the difference between active and passive job seekers. This survey-based study that examined university educated economists and engineers with 5-25 years of experience, showed that career ambition mediated active job search for the personality dimensions of Openness, agreeableness and extraversion and also gave clear evidence that active job seekers have lower levels of job satisfaction, and higher levels of career ambition, agreeableness and extraversion, compared with passive job seekers. These findings provide a more nuanced picture of the impact of different recruitment strategies and provide a starting point for in-depth studies on passive job seekers.

Är du nyfiken på eller rädd för hypnos? : En kvantitativ undersökning om attityder till hypnos och variabler som kan ha betydelse för attityden

Syftet med denna uppsats och enkätundersökning var att undersöka vilka attityder som råder till hypnos bland ett brett urval av människor. De variabler som förväntades kunna predicera attityden var: egen erfarenhet av hypnos, motivation att göra en förändring, kännedom om alternativa behandlingsmetoder, personlighetsdimensionen Openness, andlighet/transcendens, och där kön togs med som kontrollvariabel. Regressionsanalysen visade på en signifikant modell som förklarade variansen med ca 30%. Två variabler var signifikanta: egen erfarenhet av hypnos och kännedom om alternativa metoder. Motivation visade på en trend till signifikans.

Sambandet mellan personlighetsdimensioner och upplevd stress på arbetsplatser

Syftet med studien var att undersöka samband mellan personlighetsdimensioner och upplevd stress på arbetsplatser utifrån fem-faktormodellen samt krav-kontrollmodellen. 128 deltagare deltog i enkätundersökningen; 58 män och 66 kvinnor mellan åldern 20-69 år. Studien var en tvärsnittsstudie med självskattningsfrågor och urvalet gjordes genom ett bekvämlighetsurval. Enkäterna besvarades på arbetsplatser i Örebro, Eskilstuna, Västerås och Stockholm. Tidigare forskning påvisar samband mellan personlighet och stress, men få undersöker detta utifrån krav-kontroll-stödmodellen.
