This qualitative study is about the individual supportive conversation with the school welfare Officer in upper secondary school. The main aim of the study was to find out what the pupils get out of a series of conversations with the school welfare Officer and what it means for the pupils that the welfare Officer belongs to the school organization. Six qualitative interviews were held with pupils who had conversation contact with the school welfare Officer during their time at upper secondary school.I found that these pupils and welfare Officers were oriented towards change and solutions. I found that the most important thing for the pupils was to achieve a good and trusting relationship with the welfare Officer. After this the pupil starts a process of change in cooperation with the welfare Officer, with the aim that the pupil should be happy and satisfied with the current life situation.

In this master thesis, which is made in a qualitative manner, we have as purpose to investigate the nurses' estimation of the hospital welfare Officer. We find it interesting to take a closer look at their opinion, because of our earlier, bachelor thesis, based on the same subject, only then in the welfare Officer´s perspective on themselves. We have interviewed ten nurses and our questions at issue were the following four: Where in the hospital´s hierarchy do the nurses place the welfare Officer? In what way do the nurses look at themselves and on the fact that they are leagally authorized? How do the nurses define the welfare Officer´s occupational sphere and his part of the medical care? Which opinion do the nurses have on the co-operation with the hospital welfare Officer? The primary information, together with two maintheories and a collection of litterature on the subject have helped us to answer the four questions of issue. We have found that the results we see, in some ways are compareable to our first investigation.

This bachelor thesis aimed to explore, in a qualitative manner, the relationship and the interaction between the hospital welfare Officer and the rest of the nursing staff. We chose this subject because we wanted to explain the phenomena of being a medical outsider in the nursing team. Our questions at issue were the following three: How does the hospital welfare Officer define his occupational sphere and how do the rest of the nursing staff define it, according to the welfare Officer himself? Is the welfare Officer's relation to his own professional role and to the rest of the nursing staff affected by where his office is placed - secluded from or within the clinic? How does the welfare Officer himself value his profession in relation to the rest of the nursing crew? To answer these questions we interviewed eight welfare Officers, placed in two different hospitals. We used three different theories to explain the primary information.

The discussion of the swedish treatment of offenders often revolves round the two contradictions punishment and care. Modern prison is described to be based on values such as humanity, care and respect, although the main task is to protect the society from criminals by keeping them locked up. This study focused on the role of the prison Officer with the purpose of understanding how he sees his profesional role in an organisation influenced by punishment and care.Central questions are: How does the prison Officer handle his role as caretaker in an organisation where he not only has the right to, but also is obliged to, controle and power his clients? How does the prison Officer define his working role and does he find any dificulties in combining these?The research was realized during the months of April and May 2005 through qualitative interviews and conversations with prison Officers working in a swedish prison. It also contained a minor fieldstudy in that same prison.The results showed that the principle conflict between punishment and care have an insignificant influence on the daily work of the prison Officer.

Employment Officer?s motivational work should be based on strengthening the individual's confidence in their abilities. Five motivational theories underpinning the study is Cognitive Theory, Self-determination theory, Expectancy Value Theory, need theory and Goal Theory. The purpose of this study was to investigate individuals' job motivation, and emotional experiences, also in relation to contact with the employment Officer.

Environmental management Officers ? leadership and employeeship in local environmental health authorityThe purpose of this study was to illustrate the working situation of municipal environmental health management Officers. This is a qualitative study where I have interviewed ten environmental Officers in ten municipalities in Sweden. The interviews were based on a half structured interview guide with questions. I have interpreted the interviews through different leadership theories.

An LSS Officer?s activities are governed by laws and regulations and it has great power in influencing the individual's situation when reweaving its case. Officer?s actions have effects on the applicant and it can use its power and not look after the individual's best. Its interest can lie in community and his own position.

The Swedish population is getting older and more elderly will continue to be in need ofsupport from the community to meet their everyday lives. As the population gets olderdementia also increases the spread in the country. Because of this more people withdementia will be in need of help in their everyday lives. This will increase the demandson elderly care in the municipalities where they have to offer good care. As moreindividuals suffering from dementia will be in need of help in their daily lives aid Officers'encounters with people suffering from dementia and their relatives or any representativesbecome more common.The study had as objective to study aid Officer's reasoning on the treatment of dementedindividuals in need of help.

This paper examines whether the American Officer?s education at West Point and the Swedish Officer?s education at the Military Academy Karlberg have adapted their history of the military art education in accordance to the new requirements of the Armed Forces and its focus on the operational defense. Sweden is evolving towards an operational defense and so is the United States. This in turn requires that training and education keep up with the changes. The National Defense College in Sweden do not focus the teaching of advanced history, which happened beforet he invention of the engine, in the Officer?s training program, while the American education is rather advanced, with special focus on events taken place in the 19th century up to the Cold War.

Militär och polis har vid en hastig överblick en gemensam nämnare, nämligen legal våldsanvändning som en väg att lösa sina respektive uppgifter. Vad ställer detta för krav i fråga om etik och moral på respektive yrkesgrupp? Finns det fler likheter och vad finns det för skillnader, ur ett etiskt och moraliskt perspektiv? Syftet med denna uppsats är att identifiera vilka likheter och skillnader i krav på etik och moral det finns mellan Officerare och poliser. Detta sker genom att beskriva vilka krav som ställs på en Officer för att sedan beskriva vilka krav som ställs på en polis. Därefter sker en jämförelse och en analys i syfte att tydliggöra de likheter och skillnader som identifierats. Uppsatsen visar att likheter förekommer i fråga om krav på att behålla sin etik i perioder då den inte sätts på prov och efter långa tider av passivitet i verksamheten.

Research shows that policing is mostly sedentary but physically and mentally demanding tasks occur and that policing includes factors like police inherent stress which may impair the health of police Officers. Research has also found that physical exercise can play an important part for coping with these negative elements associated with policing. The overall purpose of this study is to contribute knowledge about the importance of physical exercise for policemen. The study is based on five semi-structured interviews with police Officer?s working with emergency response.

The corporate opportunity doctrine constitutes a prohibition for the directors and Officers of a company to pursue for themselves any opportunity which falls within the scope of the corporation?s business. In Swedish law the doctrine has not yet seemed to attract any greater attention. This doctrine has been the focus of a multitude of cases in a both American and English law, however mainly in the America law. Therefore, the American legal framework can serve as guidance in trying to define the doctrine as it has developed, or perhaps more correctly not developed, in national law.The perhaps most crucial question to be answered in the area of corporate opportunities is how the law indentify an opportunity as a ?corporate? one.

The aim of the thesis is to illustrate how a group of community policing Officers makes themselves relevant to their community, this in relation to wider organizational circumstances and exterior structures of society. Earlier research on the subject tells us that community policing can be proactive and crime preventing in such a way that the confidence and trust in the police is increased. Research is also making clear that proactive police work is hard to measure and evaluate, which is why my contribution to the field is to explore how this effects the way the police Officers in Bergsjön, Gothenburg is making themselves relevant and the way that they see themselves as community policing Officers. The relationship police ? community will be regarded as how someone treats their audience, attentive to its feedback, in order to get ones message out, in this case confidence and trust in the police, under influence of the audit society.To achieve the aim of the thesis, participating observation was chosen, to experience the police Officers everyday work.

The school can be seen as a place that reflects the wider community. Here is a school welfare Officer an important representative of the school social work. The main subject of our study is to clarify how the school welfare Officers? talk about documentation in the individual meeting with the pupil. Through individual interviews with five school welfare Officers in elementary schools in three municipalities in the southern part ofSweden, we have attempted to explore these main research question.In addition to qualitative interviews we have accomplished a survey study that included 178 school welfare Officers throughout the country.The result of our two studies demonstrates the school welfare Officers? free work where the choice to document or not is wide.
