Organizational culture is subject of a great debate nowadays and there is especially three schools which affairs its nature of reality; modernism, symbolism and postmodernism. This thesis is built upon a case study about the organization Idé & Kunskapscentrum, which experience various cultural issues. Observations made during visits in the organization environment forms the ground on which discussions about different perspectives are made regarding organizational culture.The thesis describes and investigates the subject of organizational culture and its relationship to human behavior in organizations. Furthermore, I discuss and analyze organizational culture from the three different perspectives, in order to present a critical view on the subject for the reader.The thesis is based upon a case study about the organization Idé & Kunskapscentrum. A qualitative research method has been conducted with data collected especially from an ethnographic study, but also via semi-structured interviews.

The purpose of this Bachelor thesis is to investigate which rolesthe mobile library has to its users in a small community in Sweden.To reach this purpose I have focused on the following two researchquestions:? Which are the different functions, social, cultural, educational orinformation-based, that the mobile library offers its users andwhich of these are used in reality?? What purposes are there for the mobile library and how it is usedby it?s visitors?To answer these questions I have interviewed four users of amobile library and I have held e-mail interviews with librarians incharge of a mobile library as well as the head of the department ofculture and peoples health in the community. As a base for myanalyse I have also used a pilot study which I performed earlier inthe spring of 2011.My theoretical framework is based on the model of the publiclibrary?s different roles made by Marianne Andersson and DorteSkot-Hansen.The result of this study show?s that a mobile library isn?t verydifferent from a permanently located public library. The fourdifferent functions all exist, wholly or partly, in the mobile library..

The aim of this master?s study is to examine the function of the public library in the local community at present. I have searched for the answers to the following questions: Which position has the public library in the local cultural policy? What characterizes each library and which are the priorities? What is the local profile of the public library? What cooperation partners does the public library have and what do they mean to the library? Does the public library intensify the local community in any way? To answer this, I have made three qualitative case studies. Interviews and collection of documents were carried out in three different communities.

Dagens konkurrensutsatta miljö gör det nödvändigt för företag och andra organisationer att nyttja de resurser som finns tillgängliga inom organisationen på bästa sätt. En viktig aspekt i arbetet med att finna konkurrensfördelar är att ta till vara och samordna den samlade kunskapen hos personalen. Ett begrepp som man allt oftare träffar på inom organiserandet av kunskap är Centre of Excellence, eller kompetenscentrum. Det finns dock ingen entydig innebörd av detta begrepp, och det förekommer i flera olika sammanhang, på skilda nivåer - som delar av stora företagskoncerner - som arbetsform i samarbete mellan myndighet, högskola och industri ? som statusgaranti för individ- eller gruppbaserad kompetens.

Energianvändningen i Sverige måste minskas, eftersom den bidrar till stora utsläpp av växthusgaser som påverkar vårt klimat negativt. Byggnadssektorn bidrar starkt till dessa utsläpp, eftersom 40 procent av Sveriges energianvändning kommer från bostäder och lokaler. Passivhus, som är en byggnad utan traditonellt värmesystem, kan vara en lösning för att minska energianvändningen i byggnader. Ett passivhus värms upp av den energi som alstras från människor och de hushållsapparater som används i huset. Trots att passivhusen kan bidra positivt till klimatförbättring, har de ändå inte fått något större genomslag på den svenska marknaden.
