Jönköping's municipality requested a diploma work witch would present the experiences, as arisen during the existence of the Echo village Smeden.To recive information for the background, literature at the university library were searched at the database "Libris" with words like "Echo village" and "ecological living".Data was retrieved from 28 questionnaires that were sent out to the inhabitants of the Echo village Smeden. The questionnaires contained questions about experiences, opinions, ideas and thoughts about living in this Echo village. The results were analyzed and presented by diagrams and tables and showed that the inhabitants where most unsatisfied with the sewer and the system of the toilet. In the opposite the inhabitants experienced that the remaining systems were in satisfactory and the majority of the inhabitants were very pleased with their living conditions.Conclusions of this study are that an Echo village would be a suitable alternative to an ordinary living and that ecological living would be something that would work well even in the future. An important thing to remember is that the systems of the households must be easy for the inhabitants to maintain otherwise the environmental thinking would be in risk of failure if some don?t have the energy to manage this properly..

The initial interest was to use literary text to address the visitor in the exhibition space. The purpose was to make man aware of its relation to others and narrative objects. I planned for the dialectical event in every descision.

Handsfree-enheten ska integreras i larmknappen, som bärs av användaren runt handleden, och har kontakt med telefonen via blåtandsradio. I examensarbetet ingår att välja ut lämplig högtalare och mikrofon, hitta lösningar för smuts- och vattentålighet samt att lösa problem med ekon och bakgrundsstörningar.En högtalare hittades som uppfyllde kraven för smuts- och vattentålighet samtidigt som den hade utmärkt frekvensgång för återgivning av tydligt tal. The upstream spawning migration of Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) at the confluence area between the power-station outlet and the bypass-channel in river Umeälven (flow 430 m3s-1) was compared in 2004 and 2005, two years with different experimental flow-regimes. In 2004 the water flow in the bypass-channel was altered during the day with increased flows during the nights while the water flow in 2005 mainly was altered between the weekdays and weekends. Salmon showed altered migratory behaviour in this confluence area, assessed with telemetry (n=116) and Echo-sounding, with up- or downstream responses depending on flow-changes in both the bypass and the power station outlet. Increased turbine flow through the power-station generally attracted salmon into the tunnel outlet area while increased spill-flows facilitated salmon to enter the bypass. Echo-sounding in the confluence area showed an increased swimming activity up- and downstream due to time in the day and flow-rates through the tunnel outlet. No changes in activity could be detected due to increasing or decreasing flow through the hydro-power facility.

Syftet med föreliggande uppsats var att studera inkluderade skönlitterära författarskap i läromedel avsedda för gymnasieskolans kurser Engelska 5, 6 och 7 med fokus på spridningen över kön och nationalitet. Forskningsfrågorna som studien utgick ifrån var:I vilken utsträckning förekommer författande kvinnor respektive författande män?I vilken utsträckning representeras olika nationaliteter genom inkluderade författare?Om så, vilka särskiljande, värderande eller likställande praktiker går att utläsa i hanteringen av författarskapen utifrån könstillhörighet och nationalitet?De första två frågeställningarna besvarades genom en kvantitativ innehållsanalys, medan den tredje besvarades genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Studerade läromedel var fördelade över fyra läromedelsserier och var enligt följande: Worldwide English 5 (2014a), Worldwide English 6 (2014b), Echo 5 ? Short Stories (2013a), Echo 6 ? Short Stories (2013b), Viewpoints 1 (2011a), Viewpoints 2 (2011b), Viewpoints 3 (2011c), Pioneer 1 (2012a) och Pioneer 2 (2012b).Den kvantitativa innehållsanalysen konkluderade tre statistiskt tydliga resultat.

The project deals with the evaluation and testing of speaker and microphone elements as well as microphone cavity.The first part of the report comprises a comprehensive theoretical part about drivers, microphone elements, and to some extent microphone cavity.The goal was to , on the behalf of the company Limes Audio AB, develop proposals on microphone element and cavity as well as drivers for a speakerphone application, based on specific factors. The main factors were performance, price and form factor.The aim was to create the best possible conditions for Limes Audio's software developers to implement the company's audio-enhancing software, mainly adaptive Echo cancellation.The testing was carried out using Adobe Audition and MatLab. The test methods were developed in conjunction with Limes Audio and are described below.The project will result in suggestions for a speaker, a microphone and a cavity. The cavity were removed from the product because the results indicated that the cavity matter little for the end result.The report concludes with a discussion on how the measurements could have been enhanced to simplify the interpretation of the results and making the testing more efficient..

The U.S. came close to hit their debt ceiling and had some severe trouble getting a federal budget in order in the fall 2013, which raised a global news Echo around the world. The purpose of this study is to look at of how the Swedish newspapers framed this specific event; we wanted to find the dominated similarities and differences in the different articles as well as see if our domestic perspective appeared in the frames. In order to come to a conclusion we first read all the material published between the dates of the 2th to the 17th of October in our chosen newspapers, we then did a mapping schedule and sorted through the articles, two of our main sorting points were ?the dominating framing? and ?the dominating operator? in each and every article.

The aim of this thesis is a comparative study of Djuna Barnes' 1928 book Ladies Almanack and turn of the century sexological texts focusing on Havelock Ellis' studies of 'sexual inversion in women'. The study is based on queer theory concepts from Judith Butler and Fanny Ambjörnson as well as Michel Foucault's studies of the history of sexuality. After a presentation of the theoretical concepts and a short introduction of earlier research on Barnes' works my reading and conclusions are presented in five chapters focusing on different theoretical and thematic aspects of the studied texts. A recapitulation and discussion ends the thesis.In short, my conclusions are that Ladies Almanack contrary to earlier research can be read as a queer text, and a form of counter-discourse to the general one regarding lesbianism in the early 1900's. The text also reveals itself as a pointed critique and a satire of Havelock Ellis' writings on 'sexual inversion in women'.

This bachelor thesis is about an ultrasonic sensor, implemented in a bubble chamber in Artis. The sensor consists of the piezoelectric sensor and an electronic control circuit. The control circuit consists of a programmable microprocessor, PIC18F2420 and a circuit, which sends the excitation signal to the piezoelectric sensor, and later receives the Echo. This bachelor thesis consists also of a theoretical study, which examines different techniques of liquid level sensing in a chamber. The study discusses which factors are important in liquid level sensing and examine accepted methods.

The purpose of this masters thesis is to deepen the understanding of the life, survival and canonising of a literary work. In order to do so I investigate how interpretations and evaluations of Doctor Glas 1905, by Hjalmar Söderberg 1869-1941, has developed throughout a century. The study is based on the reception-aesthetical theories of Hans Robert Jauss and Felix Vodicka, and Roman Ingardens theory of the concretizations of literary works. I have, in a phenomenological and hermeneutic way, studied the first reception and the Echo of the work, in Sweden, in handbooks, articles, reference books and research. My conclusion is that Doctor Glas by time and different readers has continued to develop so that the work today can be conceived as more complex compared to when it was born, though early interpretations and evaluations still are alive.

During the development of microwave based sensors such as radar target seekers, input signals are needed to verify the performance of the system. Therefore, a channel board has been developed by previous thesis projects at Saab Bofors Dynamics. It uses a technique called Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM). The purpose of this board is to sample and digitally store radio frequency signals in order to reconstruct them after a certain delay.The aim of this thesis project was to use the channel board named above to construct a portable instrument for generation of stimuli signals. This assignment has been divided into two tasks: firstly, to construct and put together the hardware components and secondly, to implement a graphical user interface for the instrument.

The EU-funded project European Cultural Heritage Online (Echo) aims to integrateresources from various domains within the field of cultural heritage, and make them availableon the Internet. To accomplish this integration it is necessary to describe the various resourcesin a way that will achieve cross-domain interoperability. This description of digital resourcesis commonly referred to as metadata. The most well known and used metadata standard is theDublin Core Metadata Element Set, a general standard developed for the purpose ofdescribing all types of digital resources. Since the mid-1990's a large number of specializedstandards have emerged in different communities, for example IMDI, designed for detaileddescription of language resources.This thesis aims to examine the possibility of combining a general and a specialized metadatastandard to achieve cross-domain interoperability and at the same time provide a sufficientlydetailed description of language resources for researchers within the field of linguistics.

Flooding events are no longer rare, floods occur all over the world. Accordingly, it is vital for the society and different authorities to work with flood mapping. To meet the goal of Uppsala kommun to map the risks of floods in Uppsala län, a map of the different areas around Funboån which are inside the area of risk for flooding have been developed.In the work, cross sections and the water flow have been measured. Moreover, an Echo-sounding have been carried out in Funboån to map the bottom topography. From the bottom map and laser scanned data covering the study area, a terrain model was created.

AbstractBakgrund: När människor tar del av nyheter via sociala medier som Twitter och Facebook ärdet möjligt för andra användare i de sociala medierna att påverka uppfattningen av innehållet.Det kan exempelvis ske genom att lyfta fram, tona ned, omtolka eller omgestalta nyheterna.Hur detta sker och vad det får för konsekvenser för hur människor uppfattar nyheterna hartidigare inte undersökts. Dessutom saknas det kunskaper om vilka nyheter från massmediernasom sprids i social medier, i synnerhet i Sverige.Syfte: Beskriva och jämföra vilka nyheter som sprids i sociala medier (Facebook och Twitter)samt undersöka de psykologiska orsakerna till varför de sprids vidare.Metod: Artiklar (N = 89 450) från de tolv största svenska nyhetssajterna under två månader ibörjan av 2014 undersöktes hur de spreds på Facebook och Twitter med en kvantitativinnehållsanalys. Två oberoende experiment (N = 311) undersökte effekten av kritik på nyheter, inbäddade i Twittermeddelanden, samt effekten av antalet retweets (vidarebefordringar) på fortsatt vidarespridning.Resultat: Majoriteten av de mest delade artiklarna på Twitter handlade om ett fåtal ämnen (rasism, extremism, feminism och välfärd). 17 procent av artiklarna hade delats minst tio gånger på Facebook eller Twitter. Artiklar delades i regel tio gånger mer på Facebook än på Twitter.
