Uppsatsen är ett examensarbete på 15 hp inom produktdesignprogrammet på Malmö högskola. Projektet hanterar blöjors utformning med ett resulterande förslag på hur denna produkt kan förbättras, med en fördjupning inom hållbar utveckling. Resultatet blev en blöja med inlägg, för den mer omedvetna konsumenten, som minskar antalet byten och därmed mängden miljöpåfrestande material som behöver tillverkas och slängas I fördjupningen intervjuades Olof Kolte, framträdande industridesigner som verkar inom hållbar utveckling, och en litteratursökning på området utfördes. Förundersökningen angående blöjor baserades främst på kvalitativa intervjuer, och konceptualiseringen baserades främst på ett antal brainstorms och en metod som kallas bakåtmetoden, utvecklad av Edward de Bono, författare och konsult inom lateralt tänkande..

Electronic article surveillance (EAS) is widely used in shops and libraries together with an RF-tag attached to the goods or books in order to prevent shoplifting. By implementing the addition of a moisture sensor to the RF-tag, other functions become possible, including the ability to use as an alarm with regards to frozen goods, which have been shipped but which have melted and have, subsequently, refrozen. In- relation to care for the elderly, one time-consuming step involves checking whether there is the necessity for a change of Diaper and this can, instead, be based on an RF-tag with an EAS-system alarm. A preliminary investigation was made using the moisture sensors, which involved how the resistance changes when liquid and/or heat is applied. A simulation of the LCCR circuit (RF-tag with the sensor) was conducted in order to determine how the resonance frequency changes for different resistances levels.

The study which has been made is a qualitative observational study where play forms and participation of adults were observed in two preschools. The word play is defined in the study with an ?as-if? ?nature based on Knutsdotters definition which differs play and activities from each other. The observed play form has been analyzed according to the concept of imitation and imagination play. To get a complete base of the study a few children on some occasions drew what they played or would like to play.Through photographs of these drawings and how the children described and explained what they drew a connection could be made with the children?s play forms.
