AimThe aim of this essay is to investigate the possibility to exercise Climbing within the framework of the physical education in the obligatory school. We investigated how physical education teachers think about exercising Climbing in school and how the Swedish Climbing Association is working to reach out to schools.MethodA questionnaire was sent out to 81 schools (Idrottshögskolans partner schools) in suburban Stockholm, which corresponds to 10% of the total amount of schools in that area. A mail interview was also made with a representative for the Swedish Climbing Association who also represented a local Climbing association, to collect information about how they worked with schools and youth.ResultsWe have not found anything in the steering documents against exercising Climbing during physical education. There are obstacles for exercising Climbing during physical education, a wall for Climbing is very expensive and the schools have a lack of space for this wall. The results from the questionnaire showed that 76% of all the schools that did not have a wall for Climbing wanted to have one.

Background: During the last decade Climbing has become more popular and the numbers of climbers in Sweden have increased considerably. Most common are overuse injuries caused by the great stress and strain Climbing creates on different parts of the body. Previous studies show that 75-90% of Climbing injuries are localised in the upper extremity. Injuries affecting the lower extremity occur often acute and traumatic. Based on these facts and that the number of climbers constantly grows, it is more likely that the need of care from physiotherapist among climbers will increase.

AimThe aim of this study was to develop and perform a reliability test of a questionnaire regarding side dominance in order to identify the dominant/non-dominant side in students at the Swedish alpine ski high school.MethodA questionnaire of side dominance of the upper and lower extremity was developed, and its reliability was tested according to the test-retest design. A total of 121 subjects answered the questionnaire twice. The questionnaire included five questions about side dominance, i.e. what hand/arm or foot/leg (left /right) that one prefers to use as a first choice when writing, throwing, kicking a ball, jumping over a fence and stair Climbing. Furthermore, there was a question whether the responder has a safer/better ski turn to the left or to the right.

The purpose of this study was to investigate what attracts children to activity and movement on the playground in a central and municipal preschool in a town located in middle of Sweden. The method was to use a qualitative group interview with five children, two girls and three boys, at the age of five. The interview consisted of a general question about what kids think is fun to do on the playground and was complemented with follow-up questions depending on what the children said. A qualitative interview with a preschool teacher and observations were carried out in the hope that they would confirm what children claimed about play and movement. This study showed a gender difference when girls like to swing together while the boys are making the swinging for a contest.

Bakgrund: Fingersmärta är ett centralt besvär hos personer aktiva inom klättersport.Det råder idag brist på studier som beskriver förekomsten av fingersmärta hosklättrare.Syfte: Beskriva och jämföra skillnad mellan en grupp klättrare med fingersmärta ochen grupp klättrare utan fingersmärta avseende olika individ- och klätterspecifikafaktorer.Metod: Studien är en enkätstudie med en icke-experimentell design av tvärsnittstyp.Populationen bestod av 472 deltagare som via ett icke slumpmässigtbekvämlighetsurval fått svara på en elektronisk eller manuellt insamlad enkät.Resultat: Ingen signifikant skillnad fanns mellan de två testade grupperna avseendekön, ålder, BMI och antal aktiva år inom klättring. En signifikant skillnad fannsmellan grupperna avseende svårighetsgrad inom klättring.Konklusion: Den enda faktorn som är signifikant vid jämförelse mellan klättrare medoch utan fingersmärta är avseende svårighetsgrad inom klättring. Övriga faktorer varicke signifikanta vilket inte stämmer överens med tidigare gjorda studier inom ämnet.Vidare studier kring faktorer som skulle kunna påverka fingersmärta hos klättrareefterfrågas..

Det här arbetet undersöker om heuristik i en algoritm kan förbättra optimeringen av postdistributionsnätverk. Som optimeringsalgoritm används hill Climbing och heuristiken appliceras på mutationsoperatorn. För att utvärdera mutationsoperatorn skapas en förenklad modell av ett postdistribueringsnätverk. Ett befintligt postdistribueringsnätverk används som utgångspunkt för den förenklade modellen för att snabbt kunna få en bra och realistisk modell. Resultaten av undersökningen indikerar på att den heuristiska mutationsoperatorn sänker tiden det tar att hitta en bra lösning jämfört med att använda en slumpmässig mutationsoperator..

My background as a potter has been the starting point. From there, I wanted to see if I could expand my craft to the space beyond. With the cup, which for most people has a clear function and a relation to us human, in repetitive structure I explored the spatiality and architecture in various environments. Life fascinates me through how everything is made up of tiny parts that together create the tangible and intangible.

In this study the opioid buprenorphine was given to 8 clinically healthy goats. The pharmacokinetics and behavioral effects were studied. Injections of buprenorphine, 0.02 mg/kg body weight was given both intramuscularly (i.m.) and intravenously (i.v.) with a cross over design. The results showed a short half-life of the drug in the plasma, 65.9 ± 17.4 min (mean ± SD), after i.v. injection.

One of today problem at IVT industries would be assembly of insulation on water cisterns. The element of assembly insulation on the cistern gets too elevated; hence one has to climb onto the stand the cistern is assembly on. This will increase the risk of work related injuries when there is a risk of falling down. It?s also rather strenuous on shoulders due to work with your arms high above your head.

One of these algorithms is Iterated Local Search (ILS) (Lourenco et al., 2002; Stützle, 1999a, p. 25ff), a recent easy to implement but powerful algorithm with results comparable or superior to other state-of-the-art methods for many combinatorial optimisation problems, among them the Traveling Salesman (TSP) and Quadratic Assignment Problem (QAP). ILS iteratively samples local minima by modifying the current local minimum and restartinga local search porcedure on this modified solution. This thesis will show how ILS can be implemented for MSA.
