At the time of the study, there is no law to prevent an employer from doing criminal background Checks. Employers for School and childcare have to do criminal background Checks before hiring but the background Checks have increased significantly in other industries as well. The aim of this thesis is to analyze and explain what interest employers may have in jobseekers history and how it can affect people?s privacy. To do this I have used right dogmatic approach combined with four interviews with different employers to get their perspective on the subject.

Changes in the labour market combined with an increased media coverage of managers, have resulted in the rise of a new human due diligence industry. The use of background Checks has lately become increasingly popular on the Swedish market and many companies use it as an evaluation tool when recruiting. This study investigates differences in the background screening procedure for recruitment to executive management positions and lower level positions. It also aims to answer why background Checks are conducted, using a cultural and a functional perspective. The report takes an abductive approach and data has primarily been gathered through a survey directed to large Swedish companies.

This paper examines how recruiters use social media during their recruitment process. The paper focuses on the staffing industry and will further examine how recruiters are handling jobseekers personal privacy when they are using social media in a recruitment process. The paper are trying to understand the meaning of what personal integrity means and how or if recruiters show consideration to this in a recruitment process when they are using social media as a recruitment tool. Our result demonstrates that, today recruiters use social media daily to conduct background Checks on job applicants. There are no clear instructions and rules on how recruiters should handle background Checks through social media. Recruiters believe that job seekers are responsible for the information contained on the their social media.

In this report I summarize the thesis, which is about to check what will happen if you decide to increase the interval between the a-Checks, carried out on the Norwegian airline Widerøe. They want to know if an increase in time between the Checks can give them an opportunity of increasing their aircraft fleet. In the current situation Widerøe has 11  Dash 8 Q400 and can consider a possible increase of 3 planes. This would be done without the need to increase accessibility of the hangars and increase in staff.What determines how often a check is performed is the maintenance tasks which has the shortest maintenance interval. On the Dash 8 the shortest interval is 600 flight hours.

AbstractIn this bachelor thesis I discuss and analyse the current situation of the Venezuelan democracy. By using a theoretical framework based on the theory of horizontal accountability, I focus on the interaction between different institutions and branches within the state of Venezuela. The analysis focuses on the strenghts and flaws of the newly accepted constitution, and to what extent the institutions of Checks and balances remain true to the laws and the constitution of 1999. My conclusions are that in terms of vertical accountability, the Chávez-regime acknowledges a wide popular support for their governmental actions. In contrast, the incumbent administration shows almost no respect for horizontal accountability.

The purpose of this study was to determine if and how the city district of Södra Innerstaden in Malmö, by using the Skärholms model, demand their client to reciprocate. The first problem set was to see how the demand was shown in the social service act from year 1998. From there the motives behind the introduction of the Skärholms model in city district of Södra Innerstaden were researched and also if there were a demand on reciprocity in city district of Södra Innerstaden public administration. The study was conducted in an exploratory way. The method used was to describe the idea behind Skärholms model after examining documents from the public administration.

An airline company that operates with its fleet needs to ensure that maintenance of a following and certain standard will be implemented. In this project we have sorted and divided the various working procedures of Malmö Aviation into Work Packs. These procedures are mandatory and must therefore be implemented in order to keep the aircraft airworthy at any time. Our task was to optimize and sort these working procedures by zone, panels, access and down time. We have created a maintenance program which Malmö Aviation can use and we have sorted their working procedures in B and C- Checks.Maintenance procedures that did not fit into our Work Packs have been gathered and sent back to Malmö Aviation for further inspection.This project has required a lot of extra reading in manuals and we have had a great insight into the complexity of a technical organization such as Malmö Aviation..

Abstract:The purpose of this study is to examine what actually makes Russia an incomplete democracy, despite of all the formal democratic institutions and legal democratic rights.The research method used for this essay has been qualitative case study, which strives to answer two research questions: Which democratic principles are not respected in Russia? How does the executive power control the political arena? The theoretical framework used for this study consists of a model based on Dahls Polyarchy theory and the Rule of Law concept. The conclusions points out that very little have formally changed in Russia regarding democratic rights and the constitution. The democratic decline is due to political manoeuvres and undue political influence. There is no proper division of power and the executive powers are not controlled by a system of Checks and balances.

The building industry are currently going through a huge alteration. The introduction of BIM (Building Information Modeling). En fältstudie innehållande en nulägesanalys och probleminventering följdes av ett antal provtorkningar. Torkningsförloppen filmades med en videokamera för att detektera när under torkningen som kvistarna kröp. Torkningsscheman togs fram med hjälp av ett torkningssimuleringsprogram samt med hjälp av erfarenheter från industrin.

Context: In cooperation with ICA, we chose to investigate how much the auditory and visual stimuli in combination affects consumer behavior in grocery store. There are few studies in the area, which gives good practical and theoretical implications.Research question: How much influenced consumers' purchasing, movement and inspection behavior during exposure to auditory and visual stimuli in the fruit and vegetable department of a grocery store?Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to describe and analyze how much the auditory and visual stimuli affect consumer behavior in the grocery store. We do this through a quantitative experiment of our partner?s fruit and vegetable section, where we observe customer behavior in stores.
