The purpose of this report is to survey Swedex AB?s production costs and to gather all info into a manageable Calculation tool. This was made by time and motion studies, interviews of the personnel. All factors were gathered into an Excel chart.The Calculation was made according to an additional-charge-method that was considered to satisfy Swedex AB?s goal.

Chunks and Tasks is a programming model based on the C ++ programming language. This programming model is used for electronic structure Calculations, among other things.The purpose of this project is to improve the CHT-MPI software library for Chunks and tasks, so that Calculations of matrix-matrix multiplications are performed more efficiently than they do with the existing software library. The software library is based on the work stealing method, which is a method the software library for Chunks and Tasks uses for the distribution of the Calculation work. The considered way to improve the software library is by modifying the work stealing method in a way that makes the distribution of Calculation work happen in a more efficient way , which will lead to Calculations performed faster than before.Two different modifications of the work stealing method were tested and it led to two new methods, Method 1 and Method 2, which distributed the Calculation work differently. Method 1 did not give results that were compatible with the theory, since the Calculation time with this method was much longer than the previous method.

Customers demand more options, which lead to an increased flow that creates greater demand regarding packaging and transports. Diverse logistics costs are nowadays a substantial cost for many companies. Therefore, more effort is aimed at optimizing transportation to lower these costs.The purpose of this project is to create a user-friendly Calculation of logistics costs that illustrates how the costs vary, depending on how the flow is structured. This is done by examining which aspects that affect the total logistics costs and by mapping which aspects that should be included in a Calculation of the logistics costs.Literature studies have been carried out parallel with empirical studies at Scania's production unit, MC, in Oskarshamn.

The purpose of this paper is to standardize and simplify the design work on a few specific types of storage brackets for balconies. The company Balco AB had the wish to simplify the design work in the preparation of attachments to their balcony structures. This would be done by a Calculation matrix that could be produced which then in turn could be used for each new project by the company. The design work behind the development of these fittings at each new project is costly both in terms of time devoted by each Calculation but also the cost of the time. The purpose of this report is that in a systematic manner, a Calculation matrix can be created that then the company instead may follow from each new project.In carrying out the project used HILTI Calculation program, which was provided by the company HILTI.

Calculations are an important part of planning around a construction project. From concept to completion of the project Calculation is a tool to try to predict the actual cost. During the production stage in particular, deviations occur which makes the actual cost different from the Calculations.This thesis is done in collaboration with JM Residential Stockholm. The study includes a cost follow-up in which a comparison was made between the calculated production cost and actual cost for the five projects. The aim of the study was to observe the most common reasons that a project deviates from the calculated production cost and then summing these causes in a number of categories.

This is a work that look at the factors that affect future monthly costs when buying a house in Sweden and which options are the most financially favorable over a 30 year period. The work also examines whether it is economically beneficial to invest in a low-energy house regardless of geographic location in Sweden, and discuss about whether a Calculation template can help individuals to choose more environmentally friendly options. The work has been limited so that a certain number of predetermined factors and its measurable values have been developed with the help of a literature study. The factors chosen are building type, climate, heating systems, loan interest rates, energy prices, energy price increases, inflation rates and down payment. These are then combined into 72 different Calculation cases which get put in a Calculation model made in excel.

In this study there is a study on how these factors affect the energy use in a building. To get an insight in what defines energy, there is first a description of energy supply both worldwide and used in Sweden, followed by a description of the energy balance. In this study energy will be studied in residential buildings only.

This report presents an investment Calculation based on an assumed initial investment of a new saw line to an existing sawmill. In order to get as close to reality as possible, we have received data material from northern forest owners who recently made an initial investment in their sawmill in Kåge. In order to calculate and evaluate investments are several different methods, but we, we have chosen to use the discounted cash flow method. The method sums up with the help of a fixed cost of capital together with any future costs and revenues, thereby giving a present value of the investment. We also do a sensitivity analysis to examine how selected factors affect the investment research they change. The study is carried out to a fictitious investment, and therefore the result should not only be studied as a result of the figures. The purpose of this study was that with the help of an investment Calculation studying the profitability of a hypothetical investment, and by means of a sensitivity analysis to study the sensitivity of investment to changes. The result demonstrates that the Calculations according to the present value method requires a lot of information of the prospective investment.
