Nursing interventions, environmental factors and physiological parameters were documented.Result: Twelve intervention varieties to control patients? physiological parameters were used. CPP > 80 mmHg was found in 90 % of observations.

When it gives possibilities to maintain connections between the parent and child it can make a feeling of belonging and security. Children and families have long struggled with the difficulties created when a parent goes to prison. The aim with this essay has been to look into how fathers in prison, professionals from correctional institutions and social workers experiences of the connections between children and their incarcerated fathers. We reached our aim through interviews with fathers who had been incarcerated, professionals from correctional institutions, social workers and by literature studies.

This essay aims to investigate the perceptions of responsible personnel in a primary school about the use and importance of EQ, emotional intelligence, in the school's early years. With a hermeneutic approach and by qualitative interviews, we have taken note of the respondents perceptions about EQ. The result shows that EQ can be understood in different ways. Instead of having a common understanding of what EQ is the respondents mention that there are different areas associated with EQ.  Two major results are 1.

Det är en unik upplevelse att bli opererad med lokalanestesi och vara vaken under ett operativt ingrepp. Patienten överlämnas till vårdpersonalen och är beroende av deras omhändertagande och kunskap. Kontinuerlig information under ingreppet samt ett gott bemötande från personalen kring patienten är avstor vikt för att skapa en trygg miljö och ge god omvårdnad. Syftet med studien var att beskriva patienters upplevelse och känslor av den perioperativa omvårdnaden när de var vakna under ett operativt ingrepp. Fyra intervjuer med konsekutivt utvalda patienter som genomgått operationen på sjukhus i sydvästra Sverige inkluderades i studien.

Patienter som står inför ett operativt ingrepp upplever ofta oro och stress i den perioperativa miljön. Oro förbrukar stora mängder energi som kan ge sig uttryck i huvudvärk, irritabilitet, olust och vanmaktskänsla. Tidigare studier har dock visat att anestesisjuksköterskan har genom det goda mötet möjlighet att lindra patientens lidande i dessa situationer. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva anestesisjuksköterskans lugnande förhållningssätt i mötet med vaken patient som visar tecken på oro. Åtta kvalitativa intervjuer genomfördes med anestesisjuksköterskor som har minst fem års erfarenhet av perioperativt vårdande.

Det är vanligt att patienter som genomgår kirurgi får antingen lokal eller regional anestesi istället för att bli helt sövda. Denna anestesiform kräver mycket av patienten avseende samarbete. Den perioperativa omvårdnaden anpassas under varje operation efter den enskilde patientens behov. Denna studie har utförts som en litteraturstudie med syftet att beskriva patienters upplevelser under vaken kirurgi. Resultatet kategoriserades utefter tre teman; Upplevelser av smärta och obekvämlighet, Upplevelser av oro och ångest och Upplevelser av utsatthet eller delaktighet.

The number of compulsive gamblers is constantly increasing alongside the growth of the gambling industry and the consequences of compulsive gambling include both economical and social disasters. Every addiction has a start, and so does compulsive gambling, which is why we chose to perform a survey in order to determine the possible causes to why individuals are drawn to gambling and what leads them into compulsive gambling, and also during which circumstances do they find the strength and will to come out of their addiction to gambling. The theories that are used in this paper include globalization, socialization, Bauman´s consumption society and empowerment, alongside the six phases of gambling by Custer and Milts, describing the way in and the way out of compulsive gambling. This survey is one of the qualitative kind, which means that the chosen theories are connected to the ten interviews that were done with gamblers of various kinds.

AbstractMy feature career as a teacher, for the early years of compulsory school, makes it interesting to finding out of how teaching religion can be donned. I am interested in what methods can be used for teaching religion That?s why my purpose aims to find out how five different teachers, of the early ages, works and what methods they use while teaching religion. My issue for this composition is: what methods, or to a point - methods supported by different teaching models, can be used for studying religion in compulsory school? Empirical and specialized literature points in the direction fore methods like storytelling, load reading, drama, group works, independent searching of information, working books and so on.

Bakgrund: WHO:s checklista är avsedd för operationskliniker världen över som vill reducera komplikationer i samband med operativa ingrepp. Studier har visat att checklistan inte bara förbättrade patientsäkerheten utan också bidrog till bättre teamarbete och kommunikation mellan personal. Få studier finns om hur patienter som är vakna under operation påverkas av att man använder checklista. Syfte: Syftet med denna pilotstudie var att belysa hur ett antal operationssjuksköterskor upplevde att använda checklistan inför vaken patient. Metod: En pilotstudie med kvalitativ ansats där datainsamlingen genomfördes i form av halvstrukturerade intervjuer med tre operationssjuksköterskor.

The purpose of this literature study was to describe techniques for monitoring general anesthesia and standing chemical restraint in the horse. A number of various techniques and devices related to e.g. blood pressure measurement, blood gas analysis and pulse oximetry are defined, and finally their clinical relevance and reliability are discussed. The equine patient is generally far more exposed to anesthesia-related risks than other smaller species. Complications such as hypotension and hypercapnia are commonly seen during general anesthesia. Thus, close monitoring is essentially performed by the veterinary nurse, whom is responsible for monitoring the anesthetized patient.
