This paper examines how to use different kinds of source material for building surveys. The studyexamines how to use legends, construction archaeological surveys and Ground Penetrating Radar(GPR) as source material, and use them against each other to ensure the reliability they have.As a starting point I used Gräfsnäs castle ruin in Alingsås, Sweden, as an example. Gräfsnäs castlewas probably built in the Middle Ages and was rebuilt through the ages until it became a ruin in thelate 1800s. The castle ruin is today Alingsås most visited attraction.The investigation has focused on three areas which are located in the very ruin; rescue tunnels, thecellar vault and the treasure.There are legends that describe how the castle lord of Gräfsnäs fled an attack of the Danes in 1612 ina rescue tunnel which ended at the beach. At the construction archaeological surveys carried out in1935-36 they found a sewer in the courtyard that was once served as rescue tunnel and ended in themoat.

Badet i Västertorp täcker ett stort område och är populärt men behöver nu rivas pga. det dåliga skicket. Istället ska man bygga bostäder på platsen och flytta ner det nya badet till Mellanbergsparkens södra spets för att samtidigt bli en bullerbarriär mellan motorvägen (E4/E20) och parken som man vill börja programmera.

I have done a follow up study of the restoration of two rivers, Röälven and Grundan, in order to evaluate the effects of the restoration on the endemic population of trout. Both rivers have been used for timber floating during many years throughout the 20th century, and because of this, had all obstacles such as rocks and wood parts removed. In 2004-2005 both rivers were restored, and rocks and wood were put back into the rivers. Spawning grounds were created and boulder dams were constructed to promote the streaming water. The result showed that the trout population of both rivers increased after the restoration, but also that the trout population of Röälven increased more than that of Grundan.

This is a work about the relationship between cult houses and halls. In my essay I will go through four different places were cult houses and halls both exist. I will look at the findings and the landscapes were the settlements are located in. The places I have chosen are Lunda in Södermanland, Slöinge in Halland, Uppåkra in western Skåne and Järrestad in southeast Skåne. Because of that the cult houses and halls are occurring during the late Iron Age, it is during this time period that I will work in.

Under ungefär en tioårsperiod, från den senare hälften av 1960-talet till den senare hälften av 1970-talet, producerade Hollywood filmer som inte bara tilltalade kritiker, utan även publiken. Dessa filmer var kreativa såväl produktionsmässigt som narrativt, och bröt ofta mot gamla traditioner samtidigt som man byggde vidare på formler för berättande som grundats under studioeran.Frågeställningarna var dessa: Vilka händelser skiljer den här perioden från andra perioder i filmhistorien? Hur skedde förändringarna på olika plan? Och hur såg skildringen av kvinnor på film ut, jämfört med tidigare? För att söka svar användes olika böcker inom såväl filmhistoria som genusstudier, samt läste texter som hittades på internet. Dessutom gjordes en närstudie av tre filmer från denna period, ur ett genusperspektiv:Bonnie and Clyde, Cabaret, och Annie Hall. Dessa år var även mycket händelserika i samhället i stort, och de olika händelserna färgade av sig i filmproduktionen på två olika sätt.

Background: Patients with heart failure is a patient group growing in numbers, the most common treatment focuses on reliving symptoms and the only cure is heart transplantation. Objective: Aim of the study was to illuminate patients' experiences of living with heart failure at his home. Method: Qualitative design, with a manifest content analysis. The results are based on 12 scientific articles.  Results: Patients with heart failure find that the disease is limited to their daily lives through mental illness and physical symptoms.

Denna studie syftar till att undersöka hur gestaltningen kring nätaktivistgruppen Anonymous rapporterades kring i Dagens Nyheter, The New York Times, och The Guardian mellan 2008-01-16 och 2015-03-30. Studien bygger främst på en kvantitativ innehållsanalys men har även en mindre kvalitativ del där en exempeltext från varje tidning har analyserats. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur medier rapporterar kring, och gestaltar grupper som saknar traditionell hierarki. De frågeställningar som besvaras är följande: Hur tenderar artiklarna att gestaltas i form av språk och valens, och skiljer det sig mellan tidningarna? Vilka källor och aktörer tas med i artiklarna? Är artiklarna skrivna av egna reportrar eller externa nyhetsbyråer och skiljer det sig något mellan tidningarna?Studien utgår från den sociala konstruktionsteorin som Stuart Hall definierade den.

I denna uppsats undersöks medierapporteringen i expressen.se och aftonbladet.se under kravallerna i Husby 19-23 maj 2013, samt dagen därpå, den 24 maj 2013. Fokus ligger på olika gruppers förekomst som källor, exempelvis poliser, Husbybor och organisationen Megafonen.Uppsatsen består av en kvantitativ och en kvalitativ undersökning. Den kvantitativa delen fokuserar på vilket utrymme olika grupper får i egenskap av källor. Artiklarna har samlats in och därefter analyserats utifrån variabler som grupp, kön och citatlängd. I den kvalitativa delen undersöks på vilket sätt källorna framställs i tre utvalda texter.

This scientific essay contains an interpretation of injuries caused by weapons and traumas on the bones from the execution site Galgberget in Visby, Gotland. The site was used from about the 13th century to 1845 AD. The purpose is to examine the injuries and describe them, also to investigate what may have generated them. An important question is what bodily position the individuals had at the time of the injury. The methods presented in this essay can be associated with experimental osteology, also the basic methods such as sex- age- and stature- assessment has been applied where?s possible.

My aim with this essay is to examine the relationship between identity positions and spatial positions in Jean Rhys novel Wide Sargasso Sea (1966). Through this I wish to show how Wide Sargasso Sea problematize the analytical cathegory "women", as well as classic western canon, and feministic eurocentric readings of the novel Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte to which Wide Sargasso Sea correspond..

Cycle time has a direct influence on number of returnable crates needed and therefore a crucial parameter for cost structure and pricing of the user fec in the pool system.For providing the growing market, number of crates has to increase as well as the utilization of existing crates. To accomplish this aim, cycle time for the whole supply chain has to be fully unravelled and understand.The purpose is to map cycle time and stock movements, to see how, where and when crates are being used in the supply chain. The goal is to make a method of cycle time calculation, together with suggestions of improving the pool system and decrease cycle time.The study has been a combination of qualitative and quantitative research and comprises the three biggest wholesalers in Sweden; ICA, Coop and Axfood. Furthermore have 65 grocery shops, connected to the wholesalers, been investigated and mapped.The study has come to a conclusion that cycle time for an average returnable crate is 19 days. The full-size and half-size crates have a bit longer cycle time, 21-22 days, while Dual Height-crates and shallow haif-size crates have 17-18 days.

Bakgrund: Att få en stomi innebär ofta en stor förändring i en människas liv. Den kroppsliga förändringen kan påverka det dagliga livet men också individens självbild, kroppsuppfattning och sexualitet. Syfte: Att beskriva upplevelsen av kroppsuppfattning och sexualitet hos personer med stomi. Metod: Litteraturstudien baseras på tio vetenskapliga artiklar som kvalitetsgranskats med hjälp av Carlsson och Eimans (2003) bedömningsmall. Resultat: Analysen resulterade i tre huvudteman: förändrad kroppsuppfattning, partnerns påverkan, samt oro och rädsla vid intima situationer.
