This report was written in an attempt to summarize old and new theories and scientific results regarding FORL (Feline Odontoclastic Resorptive Lesions). Several different kinds of treatment are presented in this study. Among them teeth extraction and crown amputation seems to give the best long-term results. It seems clear that the domestic cat of today have no trouble digesting dry foods without their teeth. The most accurate way to diagnose FORL is by using intraoral dental radiology technique.

Detta examensarbete behandlar spelares känslor påverkat av Freemans (2004) emotioneeringstekniker samt ifall känslor berör spelares handlingar. Detta testades genom utveckling av ett textbaserat spel, detta gjordes två i versioner, en med implementerade emotioneeringstekniker samt en utan. Dessa utvärderades med flera metoder, för att se om känslor kunde observeras. Den huvudsakliga metod som användes var SAM (Self-Assessment Manikin) (Lang, 1980). Syftet med undersökningen var att undersöka om Freemans emotioneeringstekniker väcker känslor som är observerbara med etablerade testmetoder.Undersökningen visade att teknikerna påverkade spelarnas tänkande och handlingar, dock kunde inga observerbara känslor ses av de metoder som användes.

This study is qualitative and aims to describe and analyze how senior citizens with alcohol- related problems are recognized by social workers within local care for the elderly. The empirical material consists of eleven semi-structured interviews which was completed with the help of social workers within local elderly care. The findings of the study shows that the processing of the senior citizens alcohol related problem can be explained as an identified ?awareness process.? Further, the findings of the study shows that awareness is often made by others than the social workers themselves. The study has also showed that known versus unknown information about present alcohol-related problems, tends to be crucial for when and how awareness is made in the ?awareness process?. .

This report aims at giving you as a reader a basic knowledge in measurement techniques used in the road/land construction and witch instrument and methods that is commonly used. It also tries to shed light on the problem with unfinished or incomplete blueprints, which cause additional work performed by the surveyor. This report is written in collaboration with PEAB Umeå whom has given insight in their work.The goal of this report is to examine what kind of work surveyors has to perform on blueprints delivered by a technical consultant. The reader of this report gets a run-through of the different theoretical measurement techniques used today and a short explanation of different measuring instruments used by surveyors in their day to day work. Computer programs used in the field of construction are briefly explained, and some of the most common file extensions used, for example dwg and Land-xml.The report concludes in a questionnaire that was sent out to surveyors employed by PEAB.

This essay focuses on Stable Diffusion and Midjourney to examine biases in fashion representation and how fashion is visualized and reproduced concerning race, social class, and culture. A series of prompts were intentionally written in simple terms such as ?rich,? ?poor,? and ?race.? The results revealed troubling biases, as these programs consistently depicted poor individuals as people of color and portrayed wealthy, elegantly dressed individuals as exclusively white..

The purpose of this study was to find out how gender roles are described in two popular children?s detective stories, one of them written in 2002 and the other in 1946, to be able to compare the two. In order to do this, I used a qualitative research method in which I read and analyzed the text and illustrations of the books out of a gender perspective.I used gender theories describing how stereotypical gender roles are displayed, and these theories were later associated with the books I studied. I also used previous research concerning gender roles in other children's books in order to compare those results with my own.After having read, analyzed and compared the two books, I found vast resemblances between them, but also certain differences. However, it is obvious that the gender roles in both books for the most part are traditional.

This study is an attempt to examine a hospital library's difficulties in reaching customers with consumer health information. The method was a case study of the consumer health service in the hospital library in Västerås, a town in Sweden. Qualitative interviews, observations and written material were used. The approach was from the actor's point of view with the intention to look upon the problem with the eyes of those who work at the hospital with information to patients, that is librarians and medical staff. Theories about marketing in service organizations and how to develop new services were used in the study, as well as theories about communication and different cultures within organizations of different kinds like the library and the hospital.

Forensic psyhiatric care protects the society by giving patients care to diminish risks of serious crimes. In their work the nurses use different care methods to help and support the patient in managing his or her life situation. To clarify how a group of nurses describe the nursing process in forensic psychiatric care. A qualitative study based on interviews. Six nurses were interviewed about their work in four different forensic psychiatric care units.

The aim of this essay is to investigate which of the goals in the syllabus, and with that what knowledge of Swedish, four students taking the SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) level 3 course believed themselves to have attained and to compare their self-assessments with their results on the National Test of Swedish for adult immigrants.The method used for the investigation is the individual interview. In addition to taking the National Test, the participants in the investigation were asked to mark the goals they believe themselves to have attained.The results show that the informants who best demonstrated awareness of their own knowledge are able to talk freely about their knowledge and difficulties, and when they mark the goals they believe they have attained, these correspond, on the whole, to how they responded in the interviews.One of the informants finds it more difficult than the others to assess her knowledge. A comparison between her experiences and the National Test results revealed several inconsistencies. For example, she claims that she can communicate in Swedish, but still she didn?t pass the test..

This thesis discusses and analyses the existence of two different perspectives, a social and a technical one, in Library and Information Science (LIS). Most of the time the division between these perspectives seems to result in research only using either of them. This can be a problem when studying complex phenomena. We therefore see a need for a metatheory that unites the social and the technical. By presenting and analysing all doctoral dissertations published at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science (SSLIS) 1993-2005, we try to detect and critically discuss the dichotomy between the two perspectives.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka samband mellan terapeuters känslor och behandlingsutfall. 27 terapier undersöktes, som ingick i forskningsprojekt på Ericastiftelsen; Erica Process and Outcome Study (EPOS) och Målprojektet. Terapeuternas känslor undersöktes med hjälp av självskattningsformuläret Feeling Word Checklist (FWC) och samband mellan skattningar och behandlingsutfall mätt med Children´s Global Assessment Scale (CGAS) undersöktes. Sex psykoterapier analyserades kvalitativt utifrån terapeuternas beskrivningar av terapin i regelbundet ifyllda formulär. Huvudresultaten visar att distans i terapins inledningsfas var förknippat med sämre utfall.

This report is the concluding part of the course national minorities, main focus on design, at Luleå University of Technology spring 2007. The purpose of this written examination is to produce a prototype to a product, which can be used both when marketing Kiruna as a student municipality and when recruiting students to the study programmes Kiruna offers. The product has been produced through systematic problem solving, where methods to fix the problem, gather facts, examine and come to a solution have been used. The product should in one way or another get the student to think of Kiruna as a student municipality and it should also appeal to the target group ? the students.

To gain credible reports, the companies require maintenance, activities and monitoring. Wholesalers account for approximately 20% of Sweden's net and is increasing at a steady pace. Few studies on wholesalers are acquired and the internal control has shown to be important for the preparation of the financial statements.Therefore the study will be focusing on the smaller wholesaler?s internal control, all the way to the financial statements.

Skolutveckling och ledarskap, Lärarutbildningen 60p, Malmö Högskola.Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka vad lärare,som arbetar med validering inom omvårdnadsprogrammets flexibla vuxenutbildning,har för erfarenheter av dagens valideringsprocess på Komvux.Vi vill också ta reda på om de har några förslag på förändringar eller förbättringar gällande valideringsprocessen.Vi har intervjuat nio lärare som arbetar på tre olika Komvuxskolor.Resultatet visar att många lärare vill flytta valideringsprocessen från skolmiljön till den kliniska verksamheten.De anser också att själva bedömningen av en individs kunskaper bör ske individuellt men själva självskattningen kan göras i grupp.Vidare menar lärarna att svenska språket har stor betydelse i valideringssammanhang.Nationella riktlinjer och nationell valideringsutbildning är något som vissa lärare anser vara viktigt för att få en likvärdighet i valideringsprocessen..
