The purpose of this project is to examine the development of the upper secondary school physics course and from this get a better understanding why the course is organized the way it is today. The timeless argument for studying science in school will begin this essay. After that the reader will be aware of when important discoveries in physics were made. Then school history is presented. In this part we are told when the first school started in Sweden, but the focus lies on the upper secondary school and the physics course.

This thesis is my exploration of the immaterial heritage that is the craft of bending of ?dn?ris? out of spruce. It?s a broken tradition that is scarcely described, mainly through Yngve Ryd?s report T?ltk?tor (1999) that contains interviews with two knowledge keepers, Nilas Tuolja and Johan Rassa. Yngve Ryd?s report went against the earlier opinion by the mid 20th century ethnologist Ernst Manker who claimed that they were only made exclusively out of mountain birch that has curved growth. As a background, I discuss the special importance of heritage conservation, both material and immaterial, in a S?mi context as being an indigenous people.

The purpose of this paper is to study the ongoing discussion concerning e-books at Swedish public libraries. The e-booksituation has as of late gained a lot attention in the media. The main distributor of e-book in Sweden - Elib - is in the centreof this discussion and our goal has been to study the opinions and arguments that have been expressed within articles and blog postsconcerning the situation.We have analysed our articles and blog posts through a qualitative text analysis in order to find the main problems of the e-bookdiscussion and which arguments are used. We have also studied the effect Elib might have on the libraries' collection developmentaccording to the articles and blog posts.We found that the major issues within the e-book situation include Elib's price model - which is costly for the libraries - thewatermarking and the selection of books available to the libraries. It is also considered, according to the author's of our articles and blog posts, that the collections at the libraries are affected byElib's system since the choice of which books to include is given to the publishers, not the libraries or its users.The articles and blog posts agree that a change needs to occur for the e-books future survival at the public libraries..

I present previous resarch on this subject and I focused on docu drama and dramadoc. Bo G Jansson is the researcher I used most frequently in this essay.   AbstractHåkan Salomonsson: In i nuet via Darmstadt ? Fylkingen, Stockhausen och 50-talet. Uppsala Universitet: Institutionen för musikvetenskap, C-uppsats 2006.During the 1950s, Swedens musical avantgarde was mainly lead by the concert organisation Fylkingen. Some of the leading members used to belong to the Mondaygroup in the 1940s and brought a will to update and modernise Swedish music with them into Fylkingen. This resulted in a radical change in the concert programs of Fylkingen and a development that lead to the introduction of the music of Karlheinz Stockhausen in Sweden.

Hösten 2006 lades det fram en motion om litterär kanon i skolan. Den föreslog upprättandet av en lista på böcker som alla elever i svenska skolor skall läsa. De idag gällande styrdokumenten för skolan överlåter bokvalet på lärarna. Vi intervjuade tre svensklärare i grundskolans senare år för att få veta hur de förhöll sig till kanon och på vilka premisser de väljer böcker till sina elever idag. Resultaten analyserade vi utifrån ett sociokulturellt perspektiv på lärande.

Den ökade sjukfrånvaron har ökat efterfrågan hos företag efter ekonomiska argument för investeringar i hälsa och information om kostnader för ohälsa. För att kunna ge ett underlag vid hälsoekonomiska diskussioner med företagshälsovårdens kunder har en beräkningsmodell, ?Hälsoeffekten?, utvecklats vid Institutet för Personal- och Företagsutveckling vid Uppsala universitet.För att utvärdera modellen användes den för att beräkna kostnaderna för sjukfrånvaron på tre mindre avdelningar inom en stor offentlig organisation. All information som användes vid beräkningarna erhölls från verksamheternas egna ekonomiska system. I jämförelse med tidigare utvärderingsmodeller har det i denna modell gjorts kopplingar till forskningen kring hälsa och ohälsa.

The purpose of this essay is to compare a theoretical strategic process model with the strategic work in a Swedish bank. The reason of the comparison was to identify which key success factors that is essential in strategic implementation processes. To make this study feasible three qualitative interviews were executed and it also presents data from a quantitative survey performed by the bank. The theory of the study examines eight different parts that needs to be looked at attentively when new strategies are formulated. The results points out that the work at large correspond, nevertheless the theoretical framework points out the importance of the business mission to impregnate the whole strategic process.

This essay is written within my education for Technical Officer in the Swedish armed forces. The essay describes the alternative fuels that the Swedish armed forces can make use of if the supply of fossil fuels is insecure. The alternative fuels that are described and compared are; Synthetic diesel, Organic diesel, Methanol and Ethanol. The essay describes the process of producing the alternatives, the need for modification and the economics for each alternative. The alternatives are compared and assessed for their ability to secure the supply of fuel to the Swedish Armed Forces.

The essay begins by asserting that the theoretical approaches of men?s violence against women are just as important to study as its extent. The purpose is therefore to analyse and compare two theoretical approaches which is done by a comparative text analysis of two texts written on the subject. The essay attempts to answer two questions; what the theoretical approaches are and how they can be understood in light of feminist theory.Previous research on men?s violence against women discuss especially three theoretical aspects.

Strandskyddet i Sverige har växt fram sedan 1950-talet och ska trygga den allemansrättsliga tillgången till stränderna och skapa goda levnadsförhållanden för växter och djur. Från att vara ett tillfälligt skydd på vissa områden, är det idag ett generellt skydd för områden där land och vatten möts. Våren 2009 trädde förändringar i kraft av dessa regler. De nya reglerna innebar bland annat att strandskyddsdispens kan beviljas för landsbygdsutveckling. För att avgöra vilka områden som är lämpliga för detta, är kommunens översiktsplan utpekat som ett vägledande dokument.

Detta arbete inriktar sig mot de förhållningssätt inom läsning som finns idag. Det finns två läger inom detta vilka är det syntetiska och det analytiska förhållningssättet, delen gentemot det hela. Syftet med arbetet är att titta närmare på dessa två för att det ska kunna ge oss en ökad kunskap om vad de uttalar och vad de båda står för. Arbetets upplägg är att ge en beskrivande del av vad förhållningssätten står för och sedan använda det till att göra en förenklad argumentationsanalys, enligt en pro et contra-modell som grund, samt att testa argumentens hållbarhet. Slutsatsen som kan dras av detta arbete är att de båda förhållningssätten är mycket olika i sina påståenden om hur läsning ska uppnås och barns vidare utveckling inom detta område.

This study focus on organizations transfer to cloud computing. Today many companies are shifting their attention towards cloud computing and the possibilities that it offers, with more flexibility and lower costs. Different kinds of cloud services, both for use by the individual and the large enterprise, are getting more popular. More and more organizations therefore decide to do the move to the cloud. There are several different strategies and many pieces of advice for these organizations to follow, but there?s not much research that have been conducted on this subject.

Since the abrupt ending of the Cold Wars the international system of politics has been dominated by the unipolar United States. Leading scholars within structural realism sees this stage as just a temporary condition for various reasons. They also target China as aspirant to embody the role of a balancer against USA and pole in a bi- or multipolar system. Some even argue they are destined for superpower.With the help of realisms definition of power I estimate U.S., China's and India's capabilities and judge their potential superpower. I then go on to connect structural realism and role theory to estimate their different statuses in the system.
