In recent years, the characterization of the Third World and its inhabitants in West-originated children?s books has been subject to debate. Media attention around a selection of books has generated discussions on how this relates and aligns with Sweden?s national teaching curriculum. The objective of this study is to explore how a selection of authors, born in Western countries, have characterized and presented the Third World and its inhabitants in its literature.

Introduction: All women can be subjected to intimate personal violence by theirpartner, but the older woman's vulnerability to violence is not highlighted in research.Consequences of violence can be severe and it is essential from a public healthperspective to explore the issue even for the older woman. Objective: The objective ofthe study was to generate a deeper understanding of the problems of older woman'svulnerability to violence by their spouse / partner. The research questions focused onwhat characterized their situation and how a gender perspective can illuminate theproblem. Method: A structured search for scientific studies was carried out in thedatabases: Pubmed, Cinahl, PsykArticles and Scopus in the area of interest. A qualityassessment of the articles was preformed and 12 qualitative studies were included in thestudy.

A general division can be seen between movies focusing on the games rules and movies that are trying to present a fictive world. But the study also shows how there are many movies moving between these two points.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att modellera och prognostisera Sveriges varuexport, varuimport och handelsnetto. Vi använder oss av data från januari 1975 till och med augusti 2010 för respektive serie. Dessa data testas och jämförs i olika ARIMA- och SARIMA-modeller samt skattas även medelst säsongsreningsprogrammet TRAMO/SEATS. För de modeller som bäst passar serierna genomförs därefter in sample- och out of sample-analyser med felmåtten RMSE och MAPE. In my study, I aim to examine how the printed Swedish media depicts Jews and Judaism.How the agenda is for the depiction of Jews and Judaism and how it can be related todidactic challenges within the school subject religion. The study is based on 194 articlesfrom the Swedish newspapers, Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet, in July and August 2014. I use a qualitative and a quantitative text analysis where I put articles in different categories. The study?s theoretical framework is The Agenda-Setting Theory and my study leans against Bachner (2006), von Brömssen (2012) and Revell's (2010) thoughts on the media having great influence over our image of religion and religious groups.My study shows, among other things, that Jews and Judaism are mainly mentioned in the media in relation to the conflict in Israel and Palestine, World War II or anti-Semitism.

This study examines the equity cost of capital between two periods distinguished by substantial differences in IPO activity. In light of the stemmed IPO flow to the Swedish stock exchange in 2012, this study regards the conjecture that the IPO count is related to the prevailing cost of equity capital for certain periods. By application of the Residual Income Valuation model the cost of equity capital is abstracted from sampled stock prices and compared at two points in time for which extreme highs and lows of IPO activity were observed. Using randomized samples from 1999 and 2012, significant differences between the estimated costs of capital are established. The findings indicate that the equity cost of capital, much as it may help influence, nevertheless plays a subordinated role in the going-public decision..

The formation of sovereign states in regional blocks has become an essential feature in the world system. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to investigate which motives and driving forces that affect the creation of projects of regional integration outside Europe and the Western World. By choosing the Latin American project of integration ALBA (the Bolivarian Alliance of the Americas) as a case of regional integration outside Europe and the Western World, the study investigates the motives expressed by the most prominent actors of the project, Venezuela and Cuba. ALBA is chosen as a representative and a unique case and through the consumption of the gramscian and the realist approaches, the essay defines two motives that affect the creation of projects of regional integration. As a way of investigating the actors? motives, the paper studies political statements, especially those of the Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez, and official positions expressed in central documents and declarations.

In the year 1800, about 5 % of the world population lived in cities (World Wide Fund for Nature, 2012, 3). Today that number is about 70 % in Europe and North America, and in 2050 it is expected to be 86 % in the developed world and 67 % in the developing world (www, UN, 2009). In addition, the global population is expected to increase with 2.2 billion people until 2050. As a result of the population increase more food has to be produced which requires more transport from the countryside to the cities. However, this flow of resources faces some difficulties.

Ångest och depression spås om fem år tillhöra några av världens största folksjukdomar (World Health Organization, 2001). Stigmatisering av psykiska besvär hos individer innebär att många med psykisk ohälsa exkluderas från arbetsmarknaden (Socialdepartementet, 2012). Att individer med psykisk ohälsa arbetar innebär dock vinster på individ-, organisations-, och samhällsnivå (CEPI, 2012). Syftet med studien är därmed att undersöka hur arbetsmiljön för anställda med ångest- och depressionssyndrom har anpassats utifrån den anställdes förutsättningar. Studiens fokus är att belysa vilka faktorer som påverkade att anpassningarna genomfördes.

Inom ramen för den svenska inkomstskattelagen finns en expertskatt som ger möjlighet för svenska företag att anställa utländska experter som kan beviljas skattelättnader. 2001 infördes en expertskatt för experter, forskare och nyckelpersoner. Syftet med reglerna var att företag skulle kunna attrahera personer med spetskompetens och ge Sverige tillgång till ny teknologi och kunskap.Expertskattereglerna kritiserades för att ha en bristande förutsebarhet, vilket innebar att företag inte visste när reglerna om expertskatt skulle bli tillämpliga. 2012 infördes regler som innebär att personer som tjänar över två prisbasbelopp per månad automatiskt är kvalificerade för expertskatt. Fortsättningsvis finns möjlighet att kvalificera sig för expertskatt enligt reglerna från 2001.

Vi har i denna studie undersökt vilka möjligheter sex skolors likabehandlingsplaner ger för att arbeta för och med likabehandling. Detta har vi gjort genom att utföra kvalitativa textanalyser på skolornas likabehandlingsplaner där vi har studerat hur planerna svarar mot skollagen, Allmänna råd för arbetet mot diskriminering och kränkande behandling (2012) samt Lika rättigheter i skolan? (2012). Vi har vidare utgått ifrån fyra strategier för likabehandlingsarbete som vi har hämtat från Kevin Kumashiros artikel Towards a Theory of Anti ? Oppressive Education (2000).

By tradition, archival sciences has emerged in a context with defined information processes, with explicit information producers and custodians to which consumers make requests for the information. In this process, the archival science has developed methods and strategies to preserve authentic and reliable records and by that providing trustworthy information. In an online society, people are using the internet to get information for different purposes. Even though there is no legal obligation to guarantee the authenticity, it is of societal importance that the end users get trustworthy information. In this online context, open data is a trend that is growing fast over the world and it is interesting because its conditions raises many questions regarding authenticity.Since open data is free to reuse, link and combine with other information, and it is preferably in primary format it raises questions about how to maintain the integrity and identity of the information, which is the constituents of authenticity as it is used in this work.
