This essay, called Motivation and reading comprehension, is a study of the correlation between the motivation to read and the reading comprehension of Swedish students in their final year of school before university level, meaning that they are eighteen or nineteen years old, sometimes more.The relation between the identity of the individual and the learning process has been a matter of scientific interest for some time, and this essay works in that tradition by investigating the connection between how pupils regard reading and how well developed their ability to decode text is.The reading comprehension is measured through a test that consists of a text from the Swedish epic by Vilhelm Moberg, Invandrarna, where the reader at certain intervals throughout the text is asked to mark the correct word from a choice of three. This test has been used and evaluated extensively by Per Fröjd, who has found that the results are reliable and useful.To measure the motivation to read I?ve constructed a survey to be answered before taking the reading test. It focuses on three different parts of reading motivation that are noted as the most important ones by Ivar Bråten. These are the feeling of joy and interest for reading, the goal to acquire knowledge of a specific subject, and the expectations that you have on yourself as a reader.Results show a weak or non-existent correlation between the two factors for the whole of the subjects, but once those who have a first language other than Swedish are removed the correlation becomes significant.

With starting point in the increasing ill-health in Swedish working life today, in form of for example absence due to sickness and early retirement pension, and the knowledge that the working environment effects peoples health in a big extent, I found it very interesting to inquire into how people within the working life experience health promotion and how this can be developed. A qualitative method was used to receive a deeper understanding for the employees? experiences and data was collected through semi structured interviews with employees on a bank called Ikanobanken, in Älmhult. The result shows, among other things, that respondents find responsibility and the opportunity to influence the learning processes and development important. It also became clear that the respondents find participation, motivation, communication and safety essential factors when related to changes in health behaviours.

The term CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is frequently discussed today. Many large companies work actively with CSR related questions. However, few empirical studies exist on what this work entails and why it is undertaken. Instead, most of the academic research focuses on what the term itself should mean. To bridge this gap this study centers on the employees? perceptions of CSR.

Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka vilka undervisningsmetoder pedagogerna på en utvald skola använder sig av i undervisningen för att öka elevernas motivation och bejaka deras olikheter för inlärning. Vi har gjort en kvalitativ undersökning med fokusgruppsamtal, intervjuer och observationer som metod. Således ligger intresset i att ta reda på vilka undervisningsmetoder pedagogerna använder sig av för att öka elevernas motivation och bejaka deras olikheter för inlärning. Vi har funnit det relevant att både intervjua samt observera elever och pedagoger i årskurs tre. Resultatet visar att eleverna i studien lär in ny och svår kunskap på olika sätt om de ges möjlighet till det.

The aim with this study was to see how a few teachers with experience of young students with ADHD looks upon the need of special support through ICT and from which perspective of special needs education the support is formed.I related the informants? answers about their views on special needs support based on a relational and categorical perspective and came to the conclusion that all of the informants uses a bit of both depending on each individual students needs. Therefor I could see that the dilemma perspective is current in schools today. The most important need for the students with ADHD in general is, according to the informants, structure and routine.The result from this study also shows that general knowledge about ICT is lacking and needs to increase. This could in most cases be explained by the schools economic resources as that partly prevent purchase of new and more equipment but also forces the school to keep larger groups of students in each class.

The specified purpose was, based on gender, age and type of employment, study the employees motivation to participate in health projects and their reason to maintain exercise habits after the termination of the health projects. Exercise frequency was studied in relation to the other background variables. A revised version of the questionnaire Motivation for Maintenance of Exercise Habits (Josefsson, 2005) was distributed at Albany International, Halmstad. The most frequent cause to exercise was ?enhance my condition?.

A systematic quality work is essential for anyone working in preschool, school,kindergarten and adult education to give children and students an equal education.Skollagen (2010:800) indicates that quality work should be focused on the nationalgoals of education. According to Skolverkets allmänna råd med kommentarer omsystematiskt kvalitetsarbete - för skolväsendet (2012) is the work to develop quality acontinuous process. Everyone's involvement and participation is therefore essential.Systematic quality work means to systematically and continuously monitor theactivities, analyze performance against national targets and based on that plan anddevelop. Although the work has been driven outside governmental policy documentssince 1997 shows, among others, Skolinspektionens audits of municipalities andschools that there is major deficiencies in the obligation to conduct a systematicquality work. It appears that more than half of the surveyed schools had deficienciesin its system quality work.This is the starting position this study takes on to and through literature review,document studies and interviews of principals is the subject problematized.

Den här uppsatsen ämnar analysera hur absorptionskapacitet och graden av kommunikation påverkar kunskapsöverföringen i ett svenskt multinationellt företag. Genom webbenkäter till företagets totalpopulation (N=540) har data samlats in på individnivå med en svarsfrekvens på 36 procent. Uppsatsen bygger på teorierna att prestationsbaserad kompensation och intern kommunikation är positivt relaterad till anställdas motivation samt att utbildning och prestationssystem är positivt relaterad till anställdas kompetens. Anställdas kompetens och motivation är i sin tur de variabler som vi använt oss av för att mäta absorptionskapacitet. Resultaten visade att absorptionskapacitet och graden av kommunikation hade en positiv signifikant påverkan på kunskapsöverföringen.

The purpose of this study was to enlighten the views of male social work students on; the social work profession, social work status and their career options. Also, the study aimed at getting these students angles of approach on the fact that they, being men, are a minority group within the profession of social work. Some of the main questions were: Why does not social work as a profession seem to attract men? What about the status of the profession of social work? What were the thoughts of male social work students about this? What advantages or disadvantages did they recognise, being a minority in the profession? The method used in this study was doing separate interviews. All of the interviewed students were convinced that they had a better chance of getting a job.

Syftet med denna undersökning är att försöka belysa vad som motiverar elever i grundskolans senare år att gå till skolan. Undersökningen strävar också efter att få syn på om estetiska läroprocesser bidrar till elevernas motivation till att gå till skolan. Empirin har skaffats genom att jag har intervjuat åtta elever i grundskolans senare år. Litteratur som jag använt mig av behandlar tidigare forskning kring ämnena motivation, estetik i skolan och utvecklingspsykologi. Undersökningen visar att det som motiverar respondenterna att komma till skolan är bland annat att de känner att de vill vara närvarande för att lära sig nya kunskaper samt att få höga betyg.

Syftet med studien var att studera år 4-6 egna tankar om motivation för att ta reda på vad de själva känner att de behöver för att vilja skriva. Det ledde oss till frågeställningarna:Vilka faktorer upplever eleverna som betydelsefulla för att motivation ska skapas, Vilka yttre förutsättningar menar eleverna har betydelse för deras motivation betydelse för deras motivation samt Hur upplever eleverna samspelet i klassrummet och dess betydelse för deras motivation?Genom intervjuer, vilka har genomförts med totalt 16 elever på två olika skolor, har vi försökt nå ett djupare plan där eleverna fått chansen att dela med sig av sina innersta tankar om skrivsituationer. Studien gjordes med elever vars lärare ansåg att de saknade motivation till skrivande.Det visade sig tydligt att eleverna är olika och att de har olika erfarenheter vilket gör att deras svar visar att de även har olika behov. Resultatet pekar på vikten av ett meningsfullt arbete där tydligheten från läraren står i centrum tillsammans med ett stort engagemang.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka och skildra några studenters motiv, motivation och upplevelser kring högre studier. I bakgrunden ingår forskning kring studentidentiteter (Bron m. fl., 2013), men efter hand tillkommer andra begrepp och teorier som bidrar till att belysa undersökningsmaterialet. Studien är grundad på kvalitativ metod, med semistrukturerade intervjuer av sex studenter i åldrarna 25-30 år. Resultatet av de sex studenterna redovisas som personporträtt, där både likheter och skillnader mellan studenternas motiv, motivation och upplevelser i relation till högre studier framgår.

Vårt syfte med denna studie är att titta på hur lärare uppfattar elevers motivation på gymnasienivå i ämnet idrott och hälsa. Därtill ska vi undersöka hur dagens lärare motiverar sina elever i undervisningen, samt titta på vilka faktorer som lärarna anser spelar roll för att motivera eleverna i ämnet. Vårt teoretiska perspektiv som vi utgår från i uppsatsen är Organismic Integration Theory, men vårt resultat av studien är även kopplad till andra relevanta begrepp. Urvalet gick ut på att vi kontaktade sex stycken idrott och hälsa-lärare som arbetar på gymnasiet, och frågade dem angående hur motivationen ser ut i gymnasieklasserna för tillfället. Resultatet vi kom fram till var att lärarna såg en stor spridning i motivation hos gymnasieeleverna, samt att det är flera faktorer som påverkar elevernas motivation i idrott och hälsa-undervisningen, där betyg och stimulans är huvudfaktorerna enligt lärarna.

Biofuels are getting more important as EU plans to replace fossil fuels with renewable energy sources. Because of that Sveaskog has chosen to invest in developing the handling process of logging residue. The company has a joined organisation for handling both round wood and logging residue. They are also working at integrating the forwarding of the logging residue with the rest of the harvesting team. Sveaskog is currently extracting 44 % of the available amount of logging residue.

Civil society is facing many challenges in modern society and there is a lot of debate about where it is heading - is volunteer work declining or just taking a new form Whichever hypothesis will prove correct in the future, organizations that are dependent on volunteers will need to adapt to the new circumstances. This study aims to examine what forces drive voluntary work at Rädda Barnen (Save the Children Sweden) and Hungerprojektet (The Hunger Project Sweden). Through interviews with employees and volunteers at the two organizations, this study finds that volunteers at Rädda Barnen are primarily driven by values and understanding, and that the volunteers at Hungerprojektet are primarily driven by career and to some extent by values, enhancement and social factors. Understanding these driving forces allow the organizations to adapt to the new circumstances by matching the volunteers interests with the organizations' needs..
