The purpose of this study was to understand whether there is a difference in how the Swedish police work with Facebook in two municipalities with different criminal records. The methods used were qualitative interviews with the ones responsible for the Facebook-sites and quantitative content analysis of different Facebook-posts, both from members of the Facebook-site and from the police themselves.Among the theories used in this study were the ?four-step relations process? by Cutlip, Allen and Broom, theory around public relations and theory around the public sphere by Habermas.The results showed that there is a difference in how the police uses Facebook between the municipalities and one of the conclusions is that this is mainly because of the ways that the police choose to work with Facebook rather than the difference in criminal records. Another conclusion is that the police get positive feedback from the members on their Facebook-site, and that how much the police uses Facebook as a tool depends a lot on how much resources they have to spend since the ones writing on Facebook are policemen and policewomen, and that the police do not have someone who works with the Facebook-site as a primary task.Keywords: Facebook, police, social media, qualitative interviews, quantitative content analysis, authority, public relations..

Idag pågår projekt med ambitioner att förbättra vattenhänsynen i skogsbruket för att uppfylla de svenska miljömålen och vattendirektivet 2000/60/EG. Sveriges skogsbrukshistoria har inneburit en allt mindre tillförsel av död ved till vattendrag. Dessa vedbitar fyller många olika funktioner i vatten då de exempelvis skapar habitat för många arter och medför ett mer varierat vattendrag. Denna studie är genomförd på Villingsbergs skjutfält, vilket förvaltas av Fortifikationsverket, och syftar till att ta reda på: 1) volym och antal (LWD, eng. large woody debris) grov död ved i vattendrag och kantzoner samt om volymen död ved varierar mellan olika strömordningar, 2) död ved fördelad på nedbrytningsklasser i vattendrag och kantzoner, 3) om den genomsnittliga dimensionen på död ved varierar mellan kantzoner och vattendrag, 4) beståndstyp i Fortifikationsverkets kantzoner jämfört med riksgenomsnittet, och 5) vilka styrkor, möjligheter, svagheter och risker verktygen blå målklassning och NPK+ har. Resultatet från studien visar på en 5-9 gånger högre volym LWD i vattendrag jämfört med i kantzoner och 10-18 gånger högre antal LWD i vattendrag än i kantzoner.

The aim with this work has been to examine the climate changes and what these has meant, and will mean during the present century, for plants that have not been hardy in Sweden. A lot of new species can probably be grown today in Sweden's most southern parts, due to an increase in the average annual temperature by 1?C. There is a need of information about these new species and their hardiness. The insufficient information about the subject has been the background to this work.

I have observed that hedges are not as prevalent in gardens in the north of Sweden as in the south despite a number of beneficial qualities attached to their use. Consequently, the primary purpose of this essay is to examine the potential for the use of ligneous or woody plants as hedges in a cold climate. The aim of this study is to provide information about the various varieties of ligneous plants that can be used for both pruned and unclipped hedges in the north of Sweden. Because the hardiness of the ligneous plants is a vital factor here, only plants that are hardy enough to survive in the Swedish hardiness zones V to VIII are included in this study. Roses, dwarf shrubs, conifers, bushes with a final height of less than 1 metre and plants that ?bleed? have been excluded.

The purpose is to investigate which attitudes that can be identified towards computer gaming and its culture in major newspapers such as Aftonbladet, Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet and how these attitudes eventually changed over time. The sources that will be used in both the quantitative and qualitative analysis are based on web articles, mainly because the paper editions does not provide much, if any, information about computer gaming and e-sports and also because of the convenience of being able to quickly find articles to study. Results indicate that computer gaming is being depicted in a clear negative fashion during 2000-2006, and that the depiction of e-sports is somewhat positive but not as glorifying as for the years 2007-2013. During this period, there is a apparent tendency of e-sports being introduced to readers who are unfamiliar with the gaming culture. As for the attitudes towards computer gaming, the depiction is still somewhat negative, mainly because the debate about computer games and violence was revived because of several acts of violence in shape of school massacres and mass murder.

Places such as power line corridors, racing tracks, gravel pits and military training sites have become refuges for many species associated with the old cultural landscape. These sites have been exposed to ecological disturbances that create the same type of habitats that were found in the old cultural landscape.The military training sites in Sweden has an impressive diversity of species. Disturbances from the military exercises have created habitats that are important for a wide range of species.The purpose of this thesis is to study some of the ecological disturbances occurring in the military training sites of the Swedish Armed Forces and examine how they affect different types of habitats. The thesis explains through litterateur and field studies the reason to the rich biodiversity often found at military training sites.

Fire is an important ecological factor, but its consumption of coarse woody debris, CWD, has hardly received any attention. In this study, I investigate the consumption in relation to the time of initial flame exposure and propensity for continued combustion of standing CWD of pine (Pinus sylvestris). Hur lyckades anställda och konsulter att upprätthålla sin motivation under neddragningen? Stämde det att inhyrd personal lättare blir av med jobbet?Tidigare Forskning/ Herzbergs, Mausners och Bloch Snydermans studie The motivation to work (1959) är första forskningsmodellen om arbetsmotivation med primära och sekundära faktorer som ligger till grund för arbetstillfredställelse. Detta har kompletterats med senare studier om drivkrafterna för arbetsmotivationen, önskan att tillhöra, behovet att tillhöra och kravet att göra en uppgift från Meyer och Allen (1991).Metod: Semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med fyra anställda och fem konsulter.

Fler och fler nya växtsjukdomar och skadegörare etablerar sig i Sverige. Det gör att ersättning av sjukdomsdrabbade träd kommer att bli allt viktigare i framtiden. Syftet med arbetet var därför att med utgångspunkt från Robinsons samt Sjöman och Slagstedts urvalsmetoder för växter undersöka alternativa arter till en sjukdomsdrabbad trädart. Arbetet fokuserar på skogsalm eftersom den förut var ett välanvänt stadsträd, men som i och med almsjukan, inte längre är aktuell för nyplantering. Därför är det av stor vikt att ta fram möjliga ersättningsarter och frågan var därför: Vilka trädarter är lämpliga för att ersätta skogsalmarna i allén utmed Fyrisån i Uppsala Stadsträdgårds befintliga parkmiljö? För att ta reda på information om min utvalda plats samt möjliga ersättningsarter gjorde jag en platsinventering respektive litteraturstudie där Stadsträd från A-Z av Rune Bengts-son var viktig litteratur.

The background to this work was to see if there was a connection between large woody debris (LWD) and the presence of brown trout in our Swedish forest streams. Previous researches by Degerman et al. (2004) have shown that there is a strong correlation between the amount of dead wood and the presence of brown trout. The goal was then to find a way to restore, maintain and increase the trout habitats by constructing and adding manmade wooden structures that would mimic natural deadwood and its features in flowing water. The inspiration was partially taken from a water restoration program in the Klamath River of northern California, USA.

Fuel pellets are in Sweden mainly produced from sawdust and cutter shavings. Before the pelletising process the raw material is dried to attain consistent moisture content and ground up in a hammer mill. In the densification process (pelletising) the ground material is forced through holes in a rotating die. This heats up the wood particles which cause them to soften and self bond. After the process the pellets are cooled, sieved and bagged. The milling process creates a wide range of particle sizes.
