Vid högvolymsproduktion av konsumentelektronik är testtid, mätnogrannhet och fabriksgolvsutrymme synonymt med kostnader. Detta har gjort att man på sektionen Test Engineering vid Ericsson Mobile Communications fabrik i Linköping tagit fram ett testkoncept, kallat Pelle-konceptet, där datorkraft och mätutrustning flyttas in i små utrymmessnåla testfixturer anpassade för både robotiserade produktionslinor och manuella. Det nya testkonceptet saknade på våren 1998 ett generellt mät- och stimulikort för mobiltelefoner vilket specificerades och konstruerades  under sommren och hösten 1998 av författaren och Stefan Lantz. I rapporten beskrivs arbetet med att specificera kortets funktionsblock samt detaljkonstruktion av de funktionsblock som författaren ansvarat för. Rapporten ger även en inblick i designarbetet och dess svårigheter för ett mät- och stimulikort med många olika funktionsblock på en mycket begränsad yta, samt de problem som uppstår i många projekt till följd av förändrade krav, missupfattningar, kommunikationsmissar och saknad dokumentation..

In today's society it is becoming more and more important with direct marketing. Some of the direct marketing is done through e-mail, in which companies see an easy way to advertise himself. I did this thesis work at WebDoc Systems. They have a product that creates web documents directly in your browser, also called CMS. The CMS has a module for sending mass e-mail, but this module does not function properly and WebDoc Systems customers are dissatisfied with that part of the product.

Netadmin Systems är ett Linköpingsbaserat IT-företag där huvudprodukten NETadmin är ett Operation support system/Business support system (OSS/BSS) som i huvudsak används i öppna nät för bl.a. kund- och lagerhantering, provisionering, övervakning och ärendehantering. Ett växande behov finns att göra det möjligt att använda övervakningssystemet via mobila enheter för att kunna felsöka och hantera driftstörningar effektivt.Syftet med rapporten är att undersöka hur övervakningssystemet kan göras tillgängligt på Android samt att ta fram en prototypapplikation för hantering av grundläggande övervakning. Genom fallstudien som har genomförts har slutsatsen dragits att Netadmin API är lämpligt för kommunikation via mobila enheter men att API behöver vidareutvecklas med ytterligarefunktioner. De viktigaste av dessa har implementerats och arbetet har även mynnat ut i en applikationsprototyp för Android.Genom utvecklingen av denna applikation ges Netadmins kunder möjlighet att hantera övervakningssystemet via mobila enheter..

The aim of this study is to find a method to incorporate the energydemand of a building in the investment cost estimate.The study is based on an actual apartment block. The significant energyaspects are identified, and changed to more energy efficient options.These are then simulated using the energy calculation program VIP+.The calculated energy need is used in the investment cost estimate, andthe simulated alternatives are compared in regards to their economicalprofitability.Depending on the focus, different alternatives are the most advantageous.Since this study aims to show which alternative is the mosteconomically profitable, the annual profit is the parameter of mostimportance. This means that individual measuring of heating and hotwater use is the recommended change of the original house. A changeof the windows to new ones with a U-value of 1,0 as well as 0,8W/m2K also results in a positive change of the annual profit comparedto the original house..

Rapporten presenterar skapandet av en produktkonfigurator och flera förslag på hur den kan förbättras. Uppdraget gavs av System Andersson till två studenter på Jönköpings Tekniska Högskola som genomförde detta som sitt examensarbete.Rapporten diskuterar möjliga lösningar på en produktkonfigurator och visar ett resultat som utgår från dessa lösningar. Produktkonfiguratorn i rapporten består av två delar.Dels konfigurationsdelen som hjälper användaren att skapa nya produkter utifrån valda artiklar. Artiklarna sorteras automatiskt av produktkonfiguratorn så att endast kompatibla artiklar kan sättas ihop. Detta sker med ett ?drag and drop? gränssnitt.Dessutom innehåller produktkonfiguratorn en kompatibilitetsdel, vars uppgift är att underlätta vid definierandet av kompatibilitet mellan artiklar.

This paper is a literature study on search engine optimization (SEO) considering the leader of the search engine market: Google. There´s an introductory background description of Google and its methods of  crawling the Internet and indexing the web pages, along with a brief review of the famous PageRank algorithm. The purpose of this paper is to describe the major important methods for improved rankings on Google´s result lists. These methods could be categorized as on-page methods tied to the website to be optimized or off-page methods that are external to the website such as link development. Furthermore the most common unethical methods are described, known as ?black hat?, which is the secondary purpose of the text.

The main purpose in this degree thesis is to investigate changes in performance when introducing a newly produced Real-Time database in one of CC Systems products, the Diagnostic Runtime Engine, DRE. The thesis is a collaboration between CC Systems, creator of DRE, and Mimer AB, developer of the Real-Time database.The result reveals that the time spent on database access is considerably lesscompared to the originally used database. The research has lead to several additional requirements on the real-time database and these are presented as part of the result in this thesis. The additional features will help making the product more suitable for DRE and similar applications.Additional research is required to be able to recommend the use of this product or not. Primarily the performance in another operating system, Windows CE, but also the introduction of additional features should be investigated.

Den här magisteruppsatsen analyserar domen mot Microsoft i EG-domstolens första instans. Domen fastställde att Microsoft genom användningen av kopplingsförbehåll, missbrukat sin dominerande ställning enligt artikel 82 i EG-fördraget. Kopplingsförbehållet i det aktuella fallet bestod i att Microsoft uteslutande sålde två separata produkter tillsammans, operativsystemet Windows och mediaspelaren Windows Media Player. Före Microsoft-fallet tillämpades inom EG-rätten ett per se-förbud mot kopplingsförbehåll, vilket innebar att de automatiskt ansågs olagliga utan att effekterna av det individuella kopplingsförbehållet utreddes. Kopplingsförbehållet i Microsoft-fallet ansågs däremot ha en så komplicerad karaktär att en vidare utredning var nödvändig.

TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) is a transport protocol designed for the wired Internet. In wireless networks packet losses occur more frequently due to the unreliability of the physical link. The main problem is that TCP treats all losses as congestion, which leads to a lower throughput. Ad hoc networks are multihop wireless networks of mobile nodes, where each node can allow other packets to pass through it. Topology changes often occur and may lead to packet losses and delays, which TCP misinterprets as congestion.

Vi beskriver i denna rapport hur vi, som två studenter vidÖrebro universitet, utvecklade ett nätverksbaserat action-spel för datorer i Windows-miljösomsedanvarmed ochtävladei nordens största spelutvecklar-tävling, Swedish Game Awards. I spelet,som vi döpt till Battle of Life, tar sig spelaren an en farlig och oförlåtande värld och måste slåss mot andra spelareför att överleva. Vi förklarar i denna rapport hur vi, under tio veckors tid,utvecklar ett spel från grundenoch vilka verktyg och metoder vi använde oss av för att genomföra uppgiften. Vi beskriver projektets mot-och framgångar samt hur vi löste de problem vi komi kontakt med under utveklingens gång.Vi går in djupare på varför vi gjordevissa designbeslut och hur de påverkade vårt slutliga resultat.Avslutningsvis diskuterarviom utveklingsprocessen och spelets eventuella framtid, både från vårt eget perspektivsom utvecklaremen även från ett samhällsenligt perspektiv..

Att välja rätt nätverksoperativsystem för verksamheten vid en omorganisation av nätverket är en svår uppgift. Rätt nätverksoperativsystem är avgörande för hur nätverket i organisationen eller företaget skall fungera. När en omorganisation planeras kan andra nätverksoperativsystem, som kan passa verksamheten bättre, än det existerande systemet väljas. Valet av system beror till exempel på vilken nivå av säkerhet, åtkomlighet, utbyggbarhet, ekonomisk kostnad och driftsäkerhet nätverket skall ha.Denna rapport fokuserar på val av nätverksoperativsystem. Detta görs med avseende på hur det är möjligt att implementera säkerhet, åtkomlighet och driftsäkerhet.

Abstract:Today many adolescents have access to computers and mobile phones.  They prefer to socialize through these means which has led to a new kind of bullying, the electronic bullying. The purpose of this study has been to examine the electronic bullying from the perspective of gender, anonymity and the consequences that it may lead to. We have chosen a quantitative approach by using a questionnaire survey targeting young people between the ages of 15-16 years in Kalmar county. 163 respondents took part in the survey, 78 girls and 85 boys. The gathered material is presented by means of contingency tables and has been interpreted by gender socialization, deindividuation and dehumanization.

This thesis has been performed at the system development company Verendus System AB, together with the home care company Basic Care Unit (BCU).The thesis has consisted of developing a web based informationsystem for BCU in which they can administrate their business. At the time of writing this thesis, BCU was using a windows-application to administrate their activities, which was both costly aswell as resulting in an unnecessary burden. The aim the thesis has thus been to create a platform-independent information system that simplifies and streamlines BCUs work by being user-friendly aswell as imposing some simplifying features.The students has been developing the system by the help of a work method they themselves developed. The method consisted of working in several iterations that each had several milestones. The method resulted in the students knowing easily when each iteration was finished or not.The thesis resulted in a working platform independent prototype.

This is a qualitative study about child poverty within the school environment. The purpose is to examine how financial resources can affect the social standings of teenagers and how that affects them in school; how the school system view and work with child poverty as well as how they act within the legal framework that requires the school to be free of charge. This was done through analyzing earlier research and conducting five interviews with personnel at three schools for children ages 13-15. Our results show that social standing can be affected by a lack of financial resources, partially due to not having certain mobile phones or brand clothing, partially because they cannot afford to join in on social activities. Furthermore, teenagers view child poverty as shameful and a risk factor for social exclusion.

The Swedish building stock accounts for nearly 40 percent of the total energyconsumption in the country. Properties built today are likely to last for 100 years orlonger. This places high demands on long-term and smart energy solutions that willkeep the future Swedish building stock energy consumption at low levels. This thesishas focused on examining how the energy performance of buildings is affected bydifferent choices of window types in different cardinal directions. The objective wasto obtain a basis for recommendations on how window properties can be optimizedfor different types of buildings and orientations.
