In Sweden, prostitution is politically defined as a social problem, more precisely, as a form of male violence against women. The definition is distinctly manifested in the government bill Kvinnofrid, characterised by the unique Swedish law that prohibits the purchase of sexual services.This thesis examines how the Swedish solutions of prostitution are carried out. By interviewing central actors working with prostitution in different ways we aim to answer the question: What measures are taken to decrease prostitution and what implications does the Swedish solution have?The analysis is divided into two parts. First, we analyse the concrete measures taken against prostitution ? what is done, how, and why? Second, we analyse the complexity of prostitution measures by applying complementary analytical perspectives: the symbolic and the discourse perspective.The study shows that measures taken to decrease prostitution vary and depend on individual actors? understandings of the political definition.

Den ostrukturerade dokumenthantering, som idag förekommer på avdelningen Ida på företaget SMHI, gav upphov till detta examensarbete. Ett dokumenthanteringssystem har införskaffats till avdelningen. Dokumenthanteringssystemet är en produkt från Microsoft med namnet SharePoint Portal Server (SPS), vilken levererats av WM-data. SPS är relativt ny på marknaden, vilket gör att erfarenheter saknas kring produkten. Syftet med dokumenthanteringssystemet är att samla alla dokument på samma plats, vilket gör dem lätt tillgängliga för alla berörda.

Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva vad patienter med cancer i den palliativa fasen upplever att livskvalitet är utifrån fysiskt, psykiskt och socialt perspektiv. Sökning av de underlag som användes i studien gjordes i olika databaser som Medline (via pubmed), Science Direct och Academic Search Elite. Sökningarna gjordes med enkla sökord eller i kombination med varandra. De underlag som söktes begränsades med att vara skrivna på svenska eller engelska, vara publicerade mellan år 2000-2008, handla om vuxna patienter samt fri åtkomst via databasen i fulltext. Totalt 17 artiklar granskades, analyserades och sammanställdes sedan under de olika perspektiven: fysiskt, psykiskt och socialt.

I denna rapport beskrivs det hur man har valt att lösa en dot1x-implementation på en Cisco 3000 switch. I rapporten återfinns konfiguration och egna tankar om dot1x. Rapporten innehåller även en guide om vilka kommandon som kan vara bra att använda sig av vid en dot1x-konfiguration. The aim of this Masters thesis is to, from a users perspective, investigate which factors affect the library use for six persons with disabilities or visual handicaps. My method has been a case study and the methods applied are interviews and observation. As a theoretical framework I use Tom Wilsons theories and models about information behaviour and transform them to a model about library use. Answers are sought to the following questions: - What does the library use look like for six persons with disabilities or visually handicaps? - How do they experience the library in their own municipality? - Which factors affect the disabled persons library use and experience of the library? All interviewees showed a very positive attitude towards the library and the majority of them visited the library regularly or received audio books by mail.

 Collaboration is a tool many organizations use to achive a certain goal. In previous research it can be read about both advantages and disadvantages of collaboration and also that a well-functioning collaboration is difficult to achieve. In previous research there is a shortage of scientific researches illustrating the outcome of collaboration. I have chosen to examine the cooperation between the social services and schools of the municipality of Växjö. The purpose of this essay is to understand what experiences staff working with children/young people in school and social services have of collaboration between each others organizations.

Syftet med examensarbetet har varit att undersöka möjligheterna för ett system till Skogsvårdsstyrelsen Värmland/Örebro, där uppgifter ska registreras i handdator vid fältbesök och därefter verifieras och slutlagras i Skogsvårdsstyrelsens databaser. Under arbetets gång har olika skogsorganisationer och företag intervjuats för att ta reda på om de har någon lösning som skulle kunna passa för Skogsvårdsstyrelsen. De lösningar som används av andra organisationer/företag har analyserats för att få fram för- och nackdelar med de olika varianterna. Slutprodukten innefattar inte någon prototyp på hur uppgiften skulle lösas utan föreslår olika verktyg som skulle kunna användas. Arbetet har grundats på litteraturstudier om införande av GIS i organisationer samt intervjuer och brevkontakt med personer och företag som arbetar med eller har kunskaper om fältGIS.

The aim of the study was to examine how the public libraries participate in the integration of immigrants in the Malmö-/Lund region. Librarians and immigrants were interviewed about the services offered by the libraries in the area of multiculturalism and what kind of service that is requested by the immigrants. The interviews also included possibilities to contribute to increased knowledge among the native Swedish people about different cultures represented among immigrants in Sweden. From the qualitative analyses it is concluded that the libraries represented in the study contribute to the integration of immigrants. The respondents gave multiple examples of the libraries? usefulness in the integration process by offering immigrants possibilities to develop their knowledge in the Swedish language, and also to find information about the Swedish society and culture.

The aim of this master´s thesis is to investigate how Aftonbladet/Sportbladet is describing the Swedish national men team in football during the European Championship years 1992, 2004 and 2008. Reading over 200 articles gave me an excellent overview of the differences and similarities between the three chosen periods. The theoretical framework has three key terms which circulates around the paper. The terms are discourse, stereotype and national identity. Several results are presented and discussed; some are included in this abstract.

Mitt uppdrag var att åt Explizit (och Argentum, Explizits ägare) utveckla en Android-applikation som implementerar en del av deras bokningssystem Interbook för att låta användaren se sina anläggningar och vilka bokningar som fanns på dessa, samt utförlig information om bokningarna. Inloggning och hämtning av data (anläggningar, bokningar och så vidare) skulle genomföras mot en webtjänst. Appen utvecklades i två etapper, där den första etappen bestod av gränssnittet och kontroller för detta och den andra av kopplingen mellan klient och server.Jag kom igång med första etappen väldigt fort och det var egentligen inga större svårigheter i konstruktionen av det. Efter tre och en halv veckas arbete hade jag en någorlunda färdig variant av gränssnittet. Även om arbetet på det fortlöpte under resten av projektet, förflyttades då fokus från gränssnittet till etapp två i projektet.I andra etappen arbetade jag på kopplingen mellan klient och server.

Purpose/Aim: The purpose of this essay is to see how the media, through the newspaper, "Vi föräldrar?, produces family and parental roles, and to investigate how the image changed over time.Material/Method: The material consists of a number of selected texts from the years 1968, 1988 and 2008. The method used is a discourse analysis based on the three level model by Norman Fairclough. The three levels are the text, the discourse practise and the sociocultural practise. In this study two of the levels, text and sociocultural practise, are used in analysing the texts.Main results: Family and parenting in the texts from 1968 can be linked to the structural functionalist theory in which the core family is central and women and men are assigned to specific roles.

Som en följd av avvecklingen av flottningen i Norrland byggde SCA upp ett system med omlastningsplatser i inlandet där virket skulle lastas om från lastbil till järnväg för vidare transport till sundsvallsindustrierna, det så kallade Tövasystemet. Tövasystemet är uppbyggt av fyra inlandsterminaler belägna i Krokom, Hoting, Bräcke och Östavall. Dessutom finns en mottagande terminal i Töva väster om Sundsvall. Virke körs in med lastbil till terminalerna där det mäts in av VMF och lossas med traktor. Virkesomsättningen i Töva-systemet var 2008 1,8 miljoner m³fub.

The main purpose of this master thesis is to identify the issues concerning the transformation process of a product oriented company into a service oriented company, and how these issues can be overcome. We will exemplify this by developing a dewatering pump rental concept for ABS, and identify the drivers and barriers for ABS when implementing the service oriented rental concept in Sweden and Poland. This master thesis is based on the systems perspective. The reason for this is the required holistic perspective, where the system has to be regarded from different points of departure in order to be understood. The theoretical studies include services and change management.
