The purpose of this thesis was to examine relevance of the proposition made by new insitutionalists about institutional and technical environment. This proposition originaly made by Meyer & Rowan (1977) has two core assumptions: The first is that all organizations are controlled by combinations of types of demands; technical demands for efficient production and institutional demands to adept to cultural and normative expectations. The second assumption is that there exists a few organizations dominated almost entirely by one typy of demand. Organizations dominated by institutional demands are said to live in an institutional environment, while technical organizations is said operate in a technical environment. This thesis has examined if these assumptions are still applicable in describing organizational interaction with the environment.

Detta examensarbete handlar om säkerhetsproblem som finns vid datorkommunikation. Man måste vara medveten om att informationen som skickas mellan datorer på intet sätt är säker mot avlyssning eller förändring. För att eliminera dessa hot kan man använda sig av olika säkerhetsstrategier. De strategier som har undersökts i detta examensarbete är IPSec och SSL. IPSec är en strategi som skyddar hela IP-paketen mellan två datorer mot flera olika hot.

Nowadays naval units are participating in international missions, where new and in many cases tougher conditions will affect their propulsion. This essay deals with some of the now developed nanostructure coatings and gives a presentation of how the coatings could function on some exposed parts of the naval powertrain. The essay investigates the possibility that the coatings can be used as a protective layer that will reduce or prevent wear on selected parts of the naval powertrains. As a basis for the essay, nanotechnology is described, as well as different reasons that wear occurs and application techniques for coatings The conclusion is that nanostructured coatings can be applied and provide a much better result on hardness and wear resistance as of naval powertrains compared to micro-structural coatings, both for manufacturing and renovation. The essay presents a few examples of the military utility of the nanostructure coatings as well as suggestions for further research..

I have been studied Microsoft SharePoint on behalf of Prevas in Karlstad.The purpose of my work was to see if Microsoft SharePoint was what Prevas wanted as a replacement for the existing intranet, which they are not satisfied with today.My work was a kind of foundation for Prevas so they could make a decision in this matter.The work began with installing SharePoint at one single server at Prevas. We used a virtual technology (VMware) at the installation, which can be described as that we created two ?miniservers? in a bigger server, one for SharePoint and the other for storing the information. This kind of technology is strongly advancing. The main work consisted of setting up the structure for the navigation and designing both the portal and the local homepage for Prevas Karlstad.

Syftet med denna studie är att belysa för- och nackdelar med polisens användning av GPS-positionering av polisfordon. Det polisiära GPS-systemet beskrivs, effektivitetsvinster, organisatoriska vinster och säkerhetsmässiga fördelar belyses. Vidare diskuteras i vad mån integriteten påverkas vid användningen av systemet. Polisens GPS-enhet är integrerad i polisens radiosystem Aurora C-52 och ger en automatisk positionering av polisfordon med presentation på kommunikationscentralens karta. Försöksprojekt med automatisk GPS-positionering av polisfordon har bedrivits och bedrivs bland annat i Norrbotten, Jönköping och Stockholm.

Abstract This study is an evaluation of a development project, seeking to work for entrepreneurial learning, starting from John Hattie's findings on the significant factors for visible learning. The study is based on action research a method together with a questionnaire, focused interviews and observation, by the issue of How do students perceive entrepreneurial learning? The results show that the methodology contributes to a more active learning and greater work satisfaction among students. The results also reinforce the thesis of the formative assessment and the importance of reflection for increased metacognition. The work identifies the project's educational shortcomings and strengths, and lays the foundation for further development towards full implementation of entrepreneurial learning in a secondary activity that works to prepare students with special needs for the labor market..

This is a Bachelor?s degree project withthe aim of investigating how to preventwarranty errors in apartment buildings.Our goal has been to compile the mostcommon warranty errors and the reasonbehind them.To achieve this goal, we have studiedthe warranty protocols from fiveprojects. We also performed interviewswith people who work in house productionand people who work with warranties. Thepurpose of the interviews was to findout the underlying causes of warrantyerrors and what one could do to preventthose.Cracks in walls and ceilings were themost frequent remarks on the warrantyprotocols. The goal and purpose of this essay is to study if and how multimodality is used within a Swedish school in Kalmar. This is accomplished by observing the different modalities inside the classroom and how the use of different modalities affects the teaching. Unstructured observations combined with a material-based thematic presentation leads up to an analysis based on social semiotics and multimodality. The main objective of this paper has been to construct a way to measure the level of social capital in a society. Based on a theory which describes the ideal society have I herein tried to find out to what extent the Swedish and Danish communities correspond to this model. The theoretical foundation consist of several different levels of analysis, and I have indeed found there to be consideral differences between the two nations on these different levels. The paper however conclude that these differences even out to add up to a Social Capital Index that is remarkably similar. Jag har under en period motsvarande 10 veckor på heltid utvecklat ett grafiskt konfigurations-verktyg för konfiguration av ftp-servern ioFTPD [4]. ioFTPD är en relativt ny ftp-server för Windows som är resurssnål och högpresterande [4]. ioFTPD utvecklas av iniCom Networks [4] som även utvecklar den kända ftp-klienten FlashFXP [4].Idén till att utveckla ett grafiskt konfigurationsprogram kom till eftersom det inte fanns några grafiska verktyg för vare sig konfiguration eller övervakning av servern. Eftersom det inte fanns något användarvänligt grafiskt konfigurationsverktyg var användaren tvungen att editera ioFTPD:s konfigurationsfil manuellt. Manuell editering av en så stor fil gör det lätt att införa fel.Mina delmål var att skapa tre grafiska applikationer för att hjälpa till att konfigurera och övervaka ioFTPD-servern.? Ett grafiskt konfigurationsverktyg? Ett övervakningsprogram? Frågan är vad det är för kunskap som förmedlas och vad det är som väljs att ta med i kulturarvet. Denna uppsats syftar till att lyfta fram diskussionen kring huruvida kulturarvet och kunskapsförmedlingen är könsneutral och hur den dolda genuskonstruktionen speglas i utställningarna samt att studera hur ett genusperspektiv används och integreras på Tekniska Museet i Stockholm och Malmö Museer. Som empiriskt underlag ligger kvalitativa intervjuer med sammanlagt 8 representanter från båda museerna. Den teoretiska basen består av teorier kring kultur, kulturarv och genus.
