This is an investigation of a mobile prefabrication factory´s competitiveness and profitability which also will result in a suggestion for a design of the factory. The mobile prefabrication factory is an idea of a new concept for production which is meant to be used in the manufacture of slab. The main intention with this concept is that by using a fast established prefabrication factory to produce elements near the construction site, thus avoiding transport from the factory to the building site. This means not only an environmental and economic gain, but also that you can avoid risking damage the elements which often occur during transportation. The contractor is owner of the mobile prefabrication factory and can thus avoid long waiting times and cyclicality.

Using mobile technology to make ends meet is currently a reality for many people. More and more peopleare working while travelling or work from home. Most knowledge workers are equipped with laptopsand smart phones. To find out how individuals are affected by having the ability to stay continuouslyconnected and work with mobile business applications, we have conducted a case study and in closecooperation with a company have created a prototype of such a mobile business application. Fourindividuals have tested our application and were then interviewed.

This study is part of the project Text messagingwith picture symbols - a possibility for AAC users and people with cognitiveimpairments. Semi structured interviews were used to investigate three menand four women?s experiences of using Windows mobiles with adaptedfunctions for text messaging.

Med hjälp av objekt-orientering och arv skapas möjligheten att dela information mellan olika projekt och applikationer för att minimera risken att samma kod skrivs flera gånger. Syftet med detta arbete är att utreda vilka för- och nackdelar som finns vid återanvändning av programkod vid utveckling av en mobilapplikation. Vid utvecklandet av denna applikation till Windows Phone® har ett delat kodbibliotek kallat Portable Class Library (PCL) använts. För att utreda de för- och nackdelar som kan finnas med återanvändning, kommer programkod från en applikation för Windows Store® finnas tillhands.

Avdelningen Forestry på Consultants to Government and Industry (CGI) i Gävle utvecklar många olika programvaror som används i skogsindustrin. Med tiden har det uppstått ett behov av ett förenklat program som kan användas i mobiltelefoner. CGI ville att en prototyp tas fram för utvärdering, samt att en förenklad undersökning görs med avseende på vad som är lämpligast emellan en mobil applikation (s.k. ?app?) eller en mobilanpassad webbapplikation (webbapp).

This paper reports a study on the usability of e-commerce accessed through smartphones. There is much research in the usability of mobile interfaces and many sets of design patterns have been created but a few studies are available for specific domains, and in this report we focus on mobile e-commerce. In this study a framework is developed for how to design mobile e-commerce interfaces with a high degree of usability. Furthermore, the study also contributes a method to how other specific domain can develop a framework with general standards to work from when creating a web interface. By examining two sets of design principles and 14 design patterns, we evaluate which ones are critical in the design of a mobile e-commerce interface for achieving a high degree of usability.

This thesis has been done at the Unversity of Örebro for Örebro University Hospital (USÖ). In our work we have developed a product for hearing tests to determine hearing thresholds of small children. Our product contains software and a control surface for controlling two separate screens. One of the demands was that our software could handle big file libraries. Reliability and simplicity were essential for the user.In our work we have utilized programming of both microcontrollers and Windows software.

Tjänster som använder abbonnentens positionsinformation kallas Location Based Service och de ger möjlighet att utöka funktionaliteten och spara användaren av tjänsten arbete. Rapporten beskriver olika tekniker för positionering och slutsatsen att CGI-TA är den teknik som positioneringen ska byggas på. Denna teknik finns tillgänglig hos de svenska operatörerna idag och för att kommunicera med dem används Mobile Location Protocol 3.0.0.

The assignment was about finding a need for a mobile application, making a requirement specification document with design documents and parallel to this constructing a prototype. The assignment is summarized in the following questions:? How can companies in the forest industry benefit from mobile information technology?? How can a user centered perspective be used in the process of making the requirement specification document and the design documents?? In healthcare settings, administrative routines have been made more efficientthrough digitalization of information and the introduction of stationary computers.This situation is especially true when it comes to radiology, where pictures,referrals and patient information now is completely managed by advanced stationarycomputer systems. However, studies have shown that these rationalizationsdo not support flexible and mobile work routines.PocketRIS is a prototype illustrating a mobile terminal for radiology that hasbeen designed to simplify workflow and reduce the cognitive workload of healthcarepersonnel. PocketRIS includes a visualization of the clinicians work situationincluding a personal referral list that can make the user attentive of importantevents.Contextual Design has been used to elicit the basic system requirements for thesystem; 19 contextual inquires was conducted with physicians, nurses and assistantnurses at two different radiology clinics in Sweden during six days. The purposeof the study was also to identify the groups that have the greatest need for amobile terminal. The study was concerned with design and evaluation of differentsolutions with healthcare personnel.The result shows that physicians and assistant nurses have the greatest need ofa mobile terminal.
