Beräkningskluster används exempelvis till vädersimuleringar eller produktsimulering. Microsoft HPC-kluster tillhandahåller två olika typer av beräkningsnoder var av den ena är Computenod, som körs med operativsystemet Windows Server 2008 R2, och den andra är Workstationnod, som körs med operativsystemet Windows 7.Arbetets syfte är att jämföra operativsystemen Windows 7 och Windows Server 2008 R2 för att se om de presterar likartat som en beräkningsnod. Detta avgörs med avseende på energieffektivitet samt hur de presterar i Linpack. Linpack är ett prestandaverktyg som mäter ett beräkningsklusters beräkningsförmåga i flyttalsoperationer per sekund. Studien utförs genom en experimentell metod.

Abstrakt: Studien har genom semi-strukturerade intervjuer undersökt nyckelaktörers beskrivningar av problembilder och åtgärder i dagens Seved samt skillnader mellan beskrivningarna. Intervjudeltagarnas svar d v s resultat av uppsatsens metod har analyserats utifrån social desorganisation-teorin samt broken windows-teorin. Studiens resultat visar: att det finns stöd för flertalet av de beskrivna problembilderna/åtgärderna i dagens Seved att kopplas till social desorganisations-teorin samt dess utveckling i form av kollektiv styrka-teorin. En del av broken windows-teorins problembild kan kopplas samman till nyckelaktörers beskrivningar medan åtgärderna till största del inte överensstämmer med broken windows. Mellan nyckelaktörer finns skillnader vilka kan förklaras genom att fler nyckelaktörer i större grad grundar sina problembilder utifrån social desorganisation och färre i broken windows-teorin.

Målet med detta projekt var att hjälpa IT-Mästaren att kunna fakturera sina kunder på ett smidigare sätt. Deras dåvarande lösning av kundernas dataanvändning var tidskrävande och ineffektivt, därför ville de automatisera systemet. Det nya systemet skulle användas för att administrera kundernas servrar med hjälp av ett grafiskt gränssnitt och sedan kontakta dem för att få fram olika värden för respektive kund som ska presenteras på IT-Mästarens hemsida. På så sätt skulle de kunna fakturera sina kunder på ett mer effektivt sätt och även få bättre överblick av kundernas användning. I och med utvecklingen utav detta system så fördjupande jag mig dels i egna kända områden men jag lärde mig också nya kunskaper. Det gällde inte enbart teknisk utveckling utan också undersökning av exempelvis hämtningen av alla data som skulle göras.

This report explains the need to develop a configuration manager that handles transmission equipment which exists in the Swedish Defence telecommunications network. The configuration module will display the configurations and compatibility among the equipment and their software which are all part of the network.Also included in this report are tools, methods and results for the development of a prototype for the configuration manager. The prototype consists fundamentally of a database assisted by a user friendly website.The transmission equipment handles a lot of important transmission of information and is in the hands of a department of SAAB, OFGCA, by orders from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV). Within the work included in this order exists a continuous update of both software and hardware which the equipment consists of. I dag kan man oftast läsa om olika säkerhetshot och risker en datoranvändare måste tänka på för att inte ge någon utomstående möjlighet att komma åt känslig och/eller privat information. Här talas det om nya virus och nya typer av trojaner som sprids som epidemier över Internet, och i bland handlar det om ett spionprogram som följer med en nedladdad fil. Det är svårt att hålla reda på alla typer av skadlig kod som nämns fast med ökad förståelse ökar också chanserna för att klara sig från smitta. Det har visat sig att utvecklingen av skadlig kod är lika stark som den inom kommersiella mjukvaror. Från persondatorns uppkomst i början av 80-talet och fram till i dag, har utveckling skett i alla områden av den skadliga kod det handlar om strategi, syfte och framförallt ren kodkomplexitet.Dagens ledande leverantör av operativsystem och webbläsare, Microsoft, lovar allt mer sofistikerade säkerhetslösningar varje gång en ny version av ett program släpps.
