This report presents suggestions and recommendations on how to convert an old industrial building, built in 1958, to an office hotel. One of the main criteria was that the floor plan should be flexible. The building is situated at Jonsereds Fabriker and the study was conducted for Hantverkslokaler i Göteborg AB, the estate owner.The survey is initiated with study visits at various office hotels, together with studies of literature regarding office planning. One conclusion from the study visits is that meeting-places, where the different companies can meet and exchange ideas and services, are important. Another one, and probably the most important parameter when planning offices is that they should have windows.

Kriminalvården är den myndighet i Sverige som ansvarar för fängelser, häkten och frivård. Myndigheten har länge känt ett behov att inom flera verksamheter kunna få tillgång till delmängder av deras klientsystem i ett mobilt och uppkopplat format.Det största hindret i deras fall med mobilitet och applikationsteknik var säkerheten. Därför genomfördes en riskanalys med hänsyn till frivården och mobilapplikationsteknik.För att välja en lämplig och passande riskanalysmetod jämförde vi ett antal metoder. Det visade sig att metoden CORAS passade bäst. När vi väl genomfört riskanalysen med CORAS försökte vi sedan matcha åtgärderna mot de olika mobilplattformarnas egenskaper för att se hur de kan fullfölja åtgärderna.

This thesis work has been performed at the Division of Assembly Technology at Linköping University for a period of ten weeks. The work is part of the project ProFlexA, which is a research project in collaboration between Linköping University, Lund University, and industrial partners such as Combi Wear Parts and Smålands Stålgjuteri AB.The casting process creates random incurred burrs and defects, which must be removed during a cleaning process to make sure that the cast can be sold. Automation has long been sought for the cleaning of castings due to, among other things, poor working conditions for staff, but this has proved difficult to implement with today's technology. Automation has for some time been available for more capital strong companies with large annual volumes, but for smaller companies with small-and medium-sized volumes, automation has not been an option.The goal of ProFlexA is to develop an automated cleaning cell aimed at small-and medium-sized volumes.The goal of the thesis is to do a pre study at ProFlexA?s partners on cleaning of castings, and develop concepts for automated cleaning of castings.By recording the process and cycle times, the cleaning of castings has been documented as it works today, and on this basis, information and statistics has been compiled.

This paper is part of the research programme ViSuCity, a programme with the goal of creating more sustainable urban planning through the development of better visual tools, which ultimately means better communication between various parties of public planning. The paper concerns the implementation of MCE into a 3D program for visualization. Multi criteria evaluation (MCE) is a technique that has been developed during the last 20 years. It merges GIS with AHP, forming a decision making tool for localization of, for example, new buildings.The result is an automated tool that enables advanced analysis of geographic areas.The tool has a very high potential due to the completely automated MCE and it is adapted for people without a technical background, let alone formal training in MCE. It provides great opportunities to test different scenarios, something that should be an important advantage.

In this Thesis the possibilities of designing a larger building that is very energy efficient in the sense that it would not need a conventional heating system are discussed. Solar radiation transmitted through the windows, internal heat from occupants, lamps and electric appliances inside the building and heat recovered from the ventilation system then have to be sufficient for the heating of the building. This study is of general interest since the property company, Akademiska Hus, plans to use this study as a first step in determining if this technique could be used in the future and thus be worth further investments. A building without a conventional heating system of the size investigated in this project has not yet been built.The energy needed for the heating of the building was simulated using VIP+.The conclusions from the study are that it is possible to build large buildings without any conventional heating system. This could be achieved in many different ways, for example by lowering the inside temperature or by using better windows and heat recovery system with higher efficiency.

To automate software testing is an investment, and that makes it important to have good knowledge about automation before an implementation is made. In this master thesis a study about automated testing is carried out. The study also includes a closer look at the testing tool TestComplete. TestComplete is one out of many tools on the market that is developed for automated GUI testing and the goal is to get a picture of how well the tool can adjust to CC Systems own applications. Studies show that it is hard to write lasting test scripts.

Syftet med mitt examensarbete är att undersöka vilka tankar tre lärare i grundskolans tidigare år har om de kommunikationsorienterade målen i Lpo94. Syftet med mitt arbete är också att undersöka hur dessa tankar kan gestaltas och vad som sker när flerstämmigheten gestaltas i en konstnärlig installation. Begreppet reception behandlas och diskuteras samt skillnaderna mellan dialogisk och monologisk undervisning. Genom kvalitativa intervjuer med tre lärare i grundskolans tidigare år kom jag fram till att lärarna strävar efter att göra sina klassrum dialogiska och demokratiska. Lärarna anser att deras egen insats spelar en avgörande roll för hur demokratiskt klassrumssituationen kan bli.

This report is the result of a thesis carried out during the spring of 2010 at Sandvik Coromant in Gimo. The purpose of this thesis has been to make an inventory and mapping of information used by flow groups that are most relevant for the day-to-day work. This mapping will then form the basis for information supplied by an automated system.The project consisted of:Identifying how the information is supplied today.Inquiring into the needs of an automated system.Which needs of information that will be provided by the system.Data collection occurred in two ways, both through observations and interviews. Observations of the participants were carried out early in the thesis, where the aim was to create a picture of the problem, and gradually develop a basis for the actual interview study. At each observation, an unstructured observation was used, which means that all activity was recorded.

This report shows methods and workflow when exploring the potential to change Outotecs HCD Silver Electrolysis machine to a module type. It?s done as an attempt to lower the workshop and installation costs and to give customer a more accurate prize directly. To do this a concept was produced which was set to a stress test. Additional objectives were to investigate freight and installation procedures, pneumatic connections and to calculate the difference in cost.Once the concept, a reinforced type of the original frame, was chosen stress tests in computer simulations were made and appropriate alterations were made.

Syftet med detta arbete har varit att se över möjligheterna för alternativa energikällor för Stall Bäckseda. Vidare är det tänkt att avsätta 200.000 kr för att realisera planerna under våren och sommaren 2005, detta har emellertid blivit uppskjutet. Vid arbetsgången har aktuella alternativ som är realiserbara i dagsläget både ekonomiskt och tekniskt tittats på. Stor vikt har lagts vid småskalig vindkraft och solvärme. Medelvindshastigheten i Bäckseda är enligt SMHI mellan 3 och 4 m/s på 10 meters höjd.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka förbättringar vid framtagning av arbetsmetoder för arbete på vattenkraftsmaskiner. Målet är att klarlägga hur leverantörer av elektromekanisk utrustning arbetar med projektgenomföring och ge rekommendationer hur dessa gynnas av förbättrade arbetsmetoder.Författaren har valt att undersöka följande frågeställningar under projektets genomförandesfas ute på anläggning:1. Vilka arbetsmetoder främjar ett framgångsrikt montagearbete på anläggning?2. Hur kan dessa arbetsmetoder stärka projektgenomföringen för leverantörsorganisationen som utför detta montagearbete?Den emperiska informationen har tagits fram med en kvalitativ metod som baserar sig på sex stycken semistrukturerade intervjuer med sex personer.

I detta examensarbete undersöktes möjligheten att installera värmeåtervinningssystem för ett flerfamiljehus i Hovgården som ligger en bit utanför Borlänge. I rapporten redovisas två olika sätt för energibesparingar som är aktuella för att ersätta borttagning av oljepannan som används i huset i dag. En rad svårigheter dök upp under undersökningen för installation av nytt värmesystem. Lämpliga lösningar kunde hittas efter mycket analys. Syftet med rapporten var att undersöka möjligheten och lönsamheten för installation av något av följande system; FVP eller VBX-modul som kan återvinna värme ur frånluften.
