The main purpose of this essay is on one hand to try to find and explain the formula of success of the rock group Status Quo, and on the other to elucidate and explain the foundation and essence in the music made by Status Quo, but also to study how, if and why the foundation and essence have changed over the years. The method of investigation is partly based on a musical analysis of three albums from three different periods: Hello! (1973), Ain´t Complaining (1988) and Heavy Traffic (2002), and partly on a sociological study of the group?s career between 1962 and today, 2005.The first part of the essay concerns the period between 1962-1973 with an analysis of the album Hello!; the second part concerns the period 1974-1988 and the album Ain´t Complaining; finally, the third part concerns the years between 1989-2002 with an intensified analysis of the album Heavy Traffic. In the forth part of the essay I discuss the career of Status Quo from a sociological point of view.I run to the conclusion that the essence of Status Quo is the boogie-woogie comp on Fender guitar by Rick Parfitt, the riff on Francis Rossis´ Fender guitar in combination with the base, the piano and the drums. This has been the essence through all the years, even though it was more difficult to apprehend it during the 1980s.

During the last years the number of Swedish detective stories which take place in the province outside the big cities has increased enormously. In this study I have analysed the novels by the three authors Viveca Sten, Åsa Larsson and Johan Theorin to investigate the connection between the milieu and the story and in what way it is involved in the crime riddle.They all keep to the formula of the classical detective story but represent different variations within this formula. In spite of the differences in their stories the basic pattern is the same. As their protagonists the authors are emotionally connected to the place in the novels. This connection it strengthen by the authors themselves as well as the publishing companies when introducing them on the market.

In the dairy production it is necessary to be able to sort cows. Dairy cows are sorted for many different reasons i.e. regrouping into production strings or for treatments i.e. inseminations, pregnancy and health checks, vaccinations or hoof trimmings. One labour saving way of conducting sorting is by using an automatic sort gate.

The situation at Plastal AB is following; the plant in Simrishamn has not capacity enough but the plant in Kristinehamn has unused capacity. My task with this master thesis is to build a logistic flow between this two plants, optimize purchase quantities and ensure delivery safety.The production of the Intermediate Section (LS) will be divided between the plants. The LS will be produced in the following way; the injection moulding process will be done in Simrishamn and the assembling and lacquering processes in Kristinehamn, The reason to divide the production is to ensure delivery safety. Plastal AB can not move the whole production of the l.S because the two plants have different processes (moulding res. injection moulding).When the 1.5 has been transported to Kristinehamn following moments are included in this order; lacquering, welding and assembling.

The aim of this thesis is to examine information behavioursamongst a group of social anthropologists. This final thesis aim to create a support that can decrease the uncertainty when planning the cable drum flanges lines that produces cable drums in the interval 100 to 320cm in diameter at Vida Packaging in Hestra. The purpose attains through finding an optimal batch size that minimizes the total storage cost and order prime cost, without degenerate delivery capacity to the customer. Through survey the sale and stock balance development during 2005 and 2006 for cable drums in Hestra and give alternative suggestions how to plan the production after installing a new cable drum flanges line. The study also explores different ways of working during product change in existing nailing line, to minimize the order prime cost. Vida Packaging in Hestra is a part of the Vida group, which is Sweden?s largest privately owned sawmill group with seven sawmills placed all around southern Sweden.

Den här uppsatsen började som något helt annat. En studie över vad egentligen sekter är. Ju längre undersökningarna fortskred desto mer likhetstecken började jag se med ett något helt annat. Jag har varit försäljare i Tupperware i 5 år och det var i detta företag jag hittade likheterna med sekterna jag läste om. Kan det verkligen vara så att Tupperware är en sekt? Det är det vi ska ta reda på med hjälp av olika forskare och deras teorier..

Syftet med min studie har varit att se i vilken mån och utsträckning Livets Ord och pingströrelsen överensstämmer med de kännetecken som kan liknas vid uppställda sektkaraktärer. Som teori har jag använt sociologen Bryan Wilsons beskrivning av religiösa sekter. Med utgångspunkt i de intervjuer jag gjort, rörelsernas hemsidor och genom att delta på ett av mötena hämtade jag material till min C-uppsats.Resultatet visar på att det finns drag av de kriterier Wilson uppställt, men inte i alla av de intervjuades församlingar. När det gäller det kriterier om uppställda krav eller prov för medlemskap, fann jag stor likhet i en av rörelserna. Alla församlingarna har frivilligt medlemskap men skiljer sig ifråga om huruvida rörelsen avvisar sökande.

Huvudmålet med examensarbetet var att konstruera en utrustning för mätning samt loggning av dieselförbrukning på en buss. Det fanns dessutom en önskan att ett MOST-nätverk skulle konstrueras. Detta skulle användas på 2005 år Formula SAE-bil vid Luleå tekniska Universitet. Olika metoder diskuterades och arbetet resulterade i en prototyp som mäter och loggar både bränsleförbrukning och körsträcka på Luleå Lokaltrafiks bussar. Även ett mindre MOST-nätverk upprättades men med ett icke tillfredställande resultat.
