To find this out, I have used the participant observation method and semi-structured interviews since my study is qualitative. The result of the work led to a greater understanding of the biologybox. It was shown that preschool teachers' involvement is very important for children and that the biologybox contained good and inspiring materials. Bakgrund: Idag lever minst 150 000 personer med demens i Sverige, år 2050 beräknas antalet ha fyrdubblats. Insatserna för personer med demens ska ge dem den hjälp de behöver i det sociala samspelet och ge dem en känsla av trygghet. Att som människa bli sedd och bekräftad ökar chansen för god hälsa, och eftersom hunden är expert på att tolka kroppsspråk och subtila signaler som människor lätt missar erbjuder den ett speciellt sällskap.Syfte: Beskriva hundens roll inom demenssjukvård.Frågeställningar: Hur kan hunden användas i omvårdnaden av personer med demenssjukdom? Vilka effekter har interventioner med hund på personer med demenssjukdom?Metod: Systematisk litteraturstudie.Resultat: Det finns i huvudsak två olika sätt att använda intervention med hund inom demenssjukvård, Animal Assisted Activity (AAA) och Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT). AAA fokuserar på trivsel och social samvaro medan AAT har fokus på individuell behandling.

Forskning har visat att fysisk aktivitet ger en bättre prognos för kvinnor som drabbats av bröstcancer. Den beskrivs också ha betydelse för symtomlindring vid cytostatikarelaterade biverkningar, vilket i sin tur leder till ökad livskvalité hos dessa kvinnor. Det har även framkommit i studier att det råder brister inom sjukvården vad gäller att förmedla sådan information. Som ett första steg behövs en kartläggning av den fysiska aktiviteten hos kvinnor med bröstcancer, deras aktivitetsvanor och vilken betydelse fysisk aktivitet har för dem under pågående cytostatikabehandling. Denna studie genomfördes som en tvärsnittstudie med syftet att beskriva fysisk aktivitet hos kvinnor med bröstcancer som genomgår adjuvant cytostatikabehandling.

This Thesis aims to explore how to integrate an IT-system for facilitating anorganizations work with Continous Impprovements.This is done here by examining and analyzing the process within a handful ofcompanies who seem to have been successful with their own implementations. This thesis investigates and analyses the social media strategy of eight companies. How the companies measure and evaluate their activity and investments in social media channels in general, and Facebook in particular is studied through qualitative interviews. The findings are then compared and analysed. Findings indicate that companies' social media presences to a large extent are dependent on individual employees with high levels of interest for the area and that companies that have integrated social media into their others operations see more value from their efforts..

The study addresses the field of design as a profession and examines the views on strategic management in a design project among nine selected graphic designers. The graphic designers who participate in the study are permanently employed at design companies in Stockholm. The study has a qualitative approach and the method is based on face-to-face interviews. We have chosen to examine this subject due to the opinion among professionals that strategic management in the design industry has increased during the last decades. There is a belief that strategic management in some cases are used too extensively as a way for design companies to make more money.

In modern dairy production the milking frequency is increased in some herds due to introducing of automatic milking systems or the farmers decision to milk high producing dairy cows more than two times a day. With more frequent milkings the milk yield increases while the content of fat and protein decreases. However, how the composition of protein is influenced is not fully evaluated. The purpose of this study was therefore to see if a higher milking frequency had any impact on the milk production and especially on the protein composition. This study was conducted as a half udder experiment.

In 2006, Stora Enso Skog implemented an education program in water management for harvester operators, timber purchasers, cut block planners and supervisors. The focus of the program was creating stream crossings with minimal harm to the stream and the surrounding riparian area. This main purpose of this study was to determine the difference in work procedures before and after participating in the program. The methodology consisted of field studies and interviews with harvester operators and their supervisors. The field study looked at how the streams had been crossed concerning the number of crossings, visible damage to the stream and/or the riparian area made by the machines. Biological parameters such as the width and dept of the stream and amount of large woody debris in the stream were also measured. The field result from 30 harvesting sites showed no significant difference between sites that had been harvested before or after the education program. But the harvester operators and their supervisors experienced an increased concern for watersheds after the educational program.

In this report a system for Rapid Control Prototyping, RCP, is evaluated through animplementation of the motor control methods Field Oriented Control, FOC, and Space VectorPulse Width Modulation, SVPWM. The evaluation emphasizes on time-consumption andresource utilization on the used hardware and on usability for of software.A new mechatronic laboratory is under development at ABB Corporate Research in Västerås. Itwill be used for both mechanical and motion control design using existing and new hardware.The control structure in a traditional robot system will be interfaced to a rapid prototypingsystem which should allow easy changes to algorithms at different levels in the system.The system designated for this project comes from National Instruments and constitutesLabVIEW Real-time and FPGA module as the software tools. The hardware is a NI Single-Board RIO (Reconfigurable Input Output), sbRIO, development board including a Field-Programmable Gate Array, FPGA, from Xilinx and a microprocessor from FreescaleSemiconductor. Graphical programming is performed in the LabVIEW environment, andthrough Xilinx tools the LabVIEW FPGA code is compiled to VHDL code.A pre-study was carried out to clarify the concept of RCP and investigate different systems forRCP and their traits.

A substantial part of the Swedish outdoor education is being practiced in so called ?school forests?. The concept school forest was first introduced in the 1980?s by the organization Skogen i Skolan. The definition of a school forest is an area that is being used for educational purposes, over which the school and the land owner has reached an agreement of how the school may utilize it.

Today there is a research project undertaken by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences along with Wången (a highschool specialized in trotter training), which focuses on trotting horse training, performance and health. The project investigates how exercise intensity and feeding strategies affect the development of growing horses. The project includes two groups of horses where all 16 horses are fed in the same way. One group of eight individuals are trained 100% compared to conventional training and the other group are trained 20% less than the other group. All horses are trained twice a week and are out at pasture beyond that.

Problemformuleringen i denna studie är ?Hur uppfattar fiollärare genrebreddens betydelse för elevers fortsatta musikintresse och utveckling?? Hur bemöter musikskolan den musikaliska evolutionen? Den evolution vilken, i och med 1900-talets paradigmskifte, fört det musikaliska synsättet från det traditionella mot ett allt mer öppet klimat i musikundervisningen. För att få svar på detta vände jag mig till fyra fiollärare med fiollärarutbildning och använde den kvalitativa intervjun som metod. Samtliga informanter hade erfarenhet inom yrket. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att lärarna upplever elevernas musikidentitet mycket starkare än förr, vilket resulterar i att låtvalet är väldigt viktigt.

Aim: The purpose of this work is to investigate what differences there are between a credit union that is connected to Sweden?s Credit Association and an independent association, and how these differences have affected the union?s success. Method: A qualitative study has been made by means of email and telephone interviews. Respondents were chosen from Sweden?s Credit Association, Credit Guarantee Association in Gävleborg and Övre Norrland Guarantee Association. The interviews were then analyzed in the light of our theoretical studies. Result and conclusions: We have found that there are three major differences between the unions.
