The Veiled Party: A Discourse Analysis of Sweden Democratic Texts aims to further the understanding of the underlying ideology of the Sweden Democratic party, by revealing whether or not there is any ideological content that include race, racialization, and racism in the party?s political texts. The study offers a background description of the discursive change in the social and political climate of debate in Sweden, which opened a policy window for xenophobic agenda setting. In addition, the study delivers a presentation of the public debate regarding the Sweden Democrats, as well as statements by party representatives.Through a social constructionist and discourse analytic framework, the study aims at understanding how the application of racial ideas are done and mapped. The core of the theoretical framework is a critical race and whiteness theoretical approach.

?Mechanical debridment ? A studie in irrigation optimization? is a final thesis which was executed by Fredrick Ekman, in close collaboration with the other group member Mikael Johansson, during the spring 2012. The thesis was carried out through Karlstad University Faculty of Technology and Science in the study program of Innovation and Design Engineering (180 ECTS credits). The client of the project was Medilink AB located in Lindesberg, and the contact person was Nils-Erik Söderström, Chief Executive Officer. The project was supervised by lecturer, Lennart Wihk, and examined by lecturer and professor Fredrik Thuvander at Karlstad University.

This thesis strives to demonstrate my increasingly phenomenological approach to musical composition in relation to the extensive body of musical works connected in different ways to the poetry collection ORDER by the Swedish author and play-wright Lars Norén. The hand, the touch, the voice, the space (environment) and its philosophical implications are scrutinised from a poetic perspective (my poetics). The question of language (the word), the sign (text), sound/noise/music and its immanent bodily qualities are focused and questioned in my own work as well as in primarily two case studies of the music of Pierluigi Billone (1960-) and Morton Feldman (1926-1987).The text reflects the emancipatory process my music has undergone the last 4- 5 years: moving away from language and text (representation) to body and sound, although preserving and nurturing the extended idea of the sign (as signification of sound and body) as a possible embodied vehicle in my composing and artistic thinking.The reader is invited through the extensive use of sketches and work methods to witness and follow this process as a manifestation of the ?doing? rather than the presentation or construction of an analysis in an academic sense.The thesis offers no solution and it fails to encapsulate all of the so-called ORDER-MUSIC (the music that is connected with Norén's collection of poetry) Instead it proposes a possible way of ?opening? the process to a basically phenomenological methodology inside the musical field of score based chamber music..

The initial interest was to use literary text to address the visitor in the exhibition space. The purpose was to make man aware of its relation to others and narrative objects. This study discusses and examines the alternative teaching materials in religion class amongst seven teachers in Stockholm region. As religion is a complex subject to both learn and to teach it may be beneficial to use alternative texts to show the diversity of the subject. The aim of this study was to examine why teachers use news articles and other articles from daily magazines in their religion class. I also examined how the teachers motivated their choices of teaching materials. The study is qualitative and the empirical work was done by interviewing seven teachers in religion.

Millions of people are using search engines every day when they are trying to find information on the Internet. The purpose of this report is to find out how people formulate search queries. En läsbarhetsalgoritm utvärderar en text och ger den ett numeriskt värde som anses återspegla hur lättläst textenär. Syftet med denna kandidatexamensuppsats är att utifrån en diskussion om läsbarhetsbegreppet och läsbarhetsalgoritmen LIX (läsbarhetsindex) ta fram alternativa läsbarhetsalgoritmer,för att därefter utvärdera om dessa kan bedöma läsbarhet bättre än LIX. Utvärderingen sker med hjälp av texter ur två grupper,för varje text i den ena gruppen finns en motsvarande text i den andra med ett liknande innehåll och komplexitet men med en språkmässig skillnad. Materialet som kategoriserats som mer lättläst består av texter som belönats medden så kallade Klarspråkskristallen som årligen delas ut till statliga organ, exempelvis Riksbanken, som gjort framstående insatser för att göra sina publikationer mer lättlästa.Gruppen med texter som kategoriserats som mer svårlästa består av motsvarande publikationer ifrån dessa organ från åren innan de tilldelats Klarspråkskristallen.Resultatet av vårt arbete visade att alla algoritmer i testet kunde bedöma vilken av texterna som var mer lättläst i majoriteten av fallen. I ett teckenrangtest med signifikansnivån 5 % gick det dock inte att förkasta hypotesenatt algoritmerna inte kunde avgöra skillnaden mellan texterfrån de två grupperna.

The purpose of this thesisis to examine the female body ideal of the Swedish fitness blogs and how it is reproduced. To answer the research question five of the most read female fitness blogs were chosen for a critical discourse analysis. The results show that pictures is an important communication event. The ideal is reproduced by representing bodies with desirable attributes in environments and poses that communicates positive feelings. There is a dialectic relation between picture and text in each published post.

This thesis describes the planning and development of a volume meter of pine and spruce cones. The product was designed and developed for Stigsjö Skog och Frö AB in Härnösand. It was developed taking into account a number of requirements set by the supervisor David Zetterlund. The main requirements were that the volume measurement would be fast and give accurate results. These are two requirements that are missing in today's volume measuring method which is very problematic for the company.The plant was visited several times in Härnösand, mainly to discuss the generated concepts with the supervisor and perform tests on the prototype.

This essay examines how the author of 1 Peter exhorted Christ-believing slaves and wives in 1 Pet 2:18-3:6, a passage that invites questions about submission, questions that, in contemporary contexts, are oftentimes controversial. The essay also calls attention to the advantages and the complexities of understanding 2:18-3:6 relative to ancient Roman familial and hierarchical structures. A close exegetical analysis of the passage points out a variety of scholarly viewpoints on ?Peter?s? admonitions to slaves and wives. Following the exegetical analysis, attention is given to feminist hermeneutics and to potential uses of this biblical text in contemporary contexts.

Syftet med mitt examensarbete var att belysa elevers uppfattningar av lärande i litteratursamtal. Genom att synliggöra lärandet ville jag fördjupa förståelsen för litteratursamtalets roll i utvecklingen av elevers läsförmåga. Jag valde en fenomenografisk forskningsansats vilket gav vissa förutbestämda val av metoder. Datainsamlingen bestod av 13 ostrukturerade, kvalitativa intervjuer med elever i skolår 1. Eleverna valdes ut på grund av sin tidigare erfarenhet av litteratursamtal.
