The formulation of visions into practical projects is an important part of the professional expertise of landscape architects. This expertise includes the gathering, structuring, improvement and utilization of knowledge. Project models have been developed to provide tools for the implementation and governance of projects, as well as means of learning, reflection and survey of individual projects. The purpose of this essay is to investigate whether bronze workers during the Bronze Age were exclusively specialized, or there actually existed amateur craftsmen. Through archaeological experiments and artefact studies I intend to investigate if it has been at all possible for a less experienced bronze caster to produce usable objects. The purpose of the study was to examine if preferred stereotypical leadership and gender could predict women?s employability to leading positions. The survey, which was selfconstructed containing a scenario module was conducted on co-workers (N=97) in the Vaxjo area. The result showed that the female candidate in the scenario was preferred as leader prior to the male candidate. However, there were no gender differences between the male and female participants? preferred stereotypical leadership.

The purpose of this study has been to investigate how individuals with reading- and writing disabilities and dyslexia handle their information need in the workplace. The method that has been used is a qualitative study made with interviews with individuals who have these problems, to see how they think and feel about the flow of information on their everyday basis. The study?s respondents are working women between the ages of 27 and 47 years old and they have reading- and writing disabilities and dyslexia. The most interesting results of this study are that the respondents are avoiding jobs where they need to read and write much and where they also do not like changes in their job situation.

In this study, the efficiency of a newly launched predatory mite, Amblydromalus limonicus, has been examined for its potential to use as a biological control agent in cucumber production. A. limonicus can be used for biological control of two thrips species, Frankliniella occidentalis and Thrips tabaci. Field trials were conducted in greenhouses of two conventional cucumber growers in Scania, the southern part of Sweden. This study includes several purposes which are to describe the concept of working environment, explain who is responsible for its functioning and how the working environment should look like. Other purposes the study have is to investigate how the working environment is in both Swedish and the two investigated companies construction sites and to share some operators proposing measures for the shortcomings and problems that exist in the construction sector working environment. To achieve these purposes was a qualitative study made with unstructured observations, interviews and survey where three construction sites were observed. The result shows that the concept of the working environment cover many aspects and is essentially about the environment we live in and experience in our work and this environment can be both an indoor as an outdoor environment. Ett vanligt förfarande i parapsykologiska s.k. ganzfeldexperiment är attmed hjälp av vitt brus, som spelas upp i hörlurar, försöka omslutaförsökspersoner i ett slags totalt och oföränderligt perceptuellttillstånd. I föreliggande studie undersöks konsekvenserna av attanvända vitt brus som bakgrundsljud. 30 försökspersoner har lyssnattill åtta ljudslingor innehållandes fyra typer av brus vid två olikaljudnivåer, för att sedan i ett enkätformulär uppskatta hur dessa ljudpåverkat dem. Resultatet visar på signifikanta effekter av så välbrustyp som amplitud, och dessutom en signifikant interaktionseffektdem emellan.

Forestry supply chains are a significant part of the Swedish economy. These supply chains are highly susceptible to storms damage. In late 2013 Sweden was hit by multiple storms. This leads to the possibility to research how supply chains react to the shocks that storms cause. The aim of this thesis is to research the costs that storms increase, the actions that are taken within the forestry supply chain, as well as possible benefactors from storms. This thesis bases on previous work on supply chain mapping and cost theories.

Sövning av kaniner är förenat med stora risker och säkra alternativ till inhalationsanestesi behöver utvecklas. I denna studie utvärderades intravenös anestesi med midazolam och sufentanil, för induktion och underhåll, på åtta New Zeeland White-kaniner av honkön. Samtliga kaniner premedicinerades med medetomidin i låg dos. Narkosen inducerades intravenöst med en blandning av midazolam och sufentanil (medeldos 0,09 mg/kg midazolam och 0,48 µg/kg sufentanil). Kaninerna hölls därefter sövda i 60 minuter via kontinuerlig infusion av samma blandning (medeldos 0,13 mg/kg/h midazolam och 0,72 µg/kg/h sufentanil).

Tail-biting in pigs is an animal welfare issue and in Sweden during 2002 the producers lost tree million Swedish crowns because of tail biting. This economic loss depends on the pigs which are discarded at slaughter because of tail biting. Tail biting can be separated into two stages, "pre-injury" and "injury". The aim of this study is to investigate if tail biting depends on environment or genetic background.A lot of research on the environments effects on the behaviour of pigs but not so much on the genetic effects has been performed. The frequency of tail biting in pig farms influence among others of environment enrichment, ventilation, gender and breed of the pig.
