Two years later the first fight between two women took place and now there?s more than 50 female competitors in the UFC - an organisation that earlier was reserved only for men.?Women will never fight in the UFC? ? A qualitative content analysis of the depiction of women?s MMA in media is a study which focuses on how women?s MMA and Ronda Rousey as an individual athlete are portrayed in american internet based MMA media, with a gender research perspective. This study also investigates how the introduction of the first women?s division in the UFC might have affected the depiction women?s MMA in media.The theoretical framework consists of gender theory concepts such as gender performativity, the man as norm, sports and masculinity.

Bakgrund: Sömn är ett mänskligt grundläggande behov och bör därför tillgodoses hos patienter som vårdas på sjukhus. Patienter som vårdas på intensivvårdsavdelningar upplever dock ofta upprepade avbrott på sömnen och sömnbrist vilket kan leda till både fysiska och psykiska negativa konsekvenser. Intensivvårdsmiljön med dess oljud, starka belysning och frekventa vårdrelaterade interaktioner leder ofta till oförmåga hos patienterna att få en adekvat sömn. Syfte: Att belysa olika interventioner sjuksköterskan kan tillämpa för att förbättra sovmiljön och sömnkvaliteten hos patienter som vårdas på en intensivvårdsavdelning. Metod: En litteraturöversikt med grund i analys av kvantitativ forskning.

Detta arbete handlar om hur text bäst utformas och struktureras för att enklast kunna läsas och uppfattas på en mobilskärm. Faktorer som berörs är typgrad, ljusrum, textlängd, teckensnittsklass, radlängd, bild i text och kontrastverkan. Arbetet utgår från en normativ, svensk person utan funktionsnedsättningar.

The aim of this study is, from a norm-critical approach, to find, investigate and analyse human representation in the visual culture of one preschool in order to understand if the children enrolled are represented or not. The research questions are: In what ways is there imagery of human representations in images and materials designed for play? What skin-colors and origins are dominant in the data collected?We carried out a qualitative study in the form of visual ethnography. This method allowed us to use a combination of different data collection tools such as photography and ethnographic field notes to collect our data. The photographs we took of images and material used for play, was then analysed through semiotic picture analysis.

Undersökningen kan på så sätt vara ett steg mot en ytterligare förbättring av Eurokoderna, och därmed ett bidrag till att underlätta konstruktörens dagliga arbete.Metod: Kartläggningen grundades på resultatet från en enkätundersökning som i sin tur grundades på ett antal intervjuer. Både intervjuerna och enkäterna besvarades av byggkonstruktörer som arbetade mycket med Eurokoderna. Under intervjuerna ombads respondenterna att redogöra för de Eurokod-delar som ansågs vara svåra att tolka. Därefter utformades en enkät som behandlade frågor på de delarna som lyftes fram som problematiska under intervjuerna.Slutsats: Enligt den här studien kan det konstateras att konstruktörer tolkar vissa delar i Eurokoderna på olika sätt.

Swedish Board of Housing requirements are often vaguely written and interpretation space is large.This report aims to investigate how much of the requirements which are set towards the University and landlord Akademiska Hus are being achieved. This is done by studying the requirements that are set.

The study begins with a historical background over the fisheries development in North America and in the Baltic Sea area in Finland and Sweden. As we can see the fisheries development depends on the interaction between ecology, state of production, politic and also social factors. In Sweden the fishery politic has changed over the period of the study. In the 1970: s the main politic focus was on the fisheries progress, expansion and rationalization. The State in Sweden took a vast part in this development and gave economic support.

The purpose of this study is to highlight how veterinarians and animal welfare inspectors on the counties of Blekinge, Kronoberg and Kalmar experience the interaction of regulatory and prohibition cases. Länsstyrelsen is the one that can decide what is to happen to an animal that has been kept under bad conditions.

A radical change is taking place in the world today: some former colonies are now booming economically while several former colonizers are suffering from economic crisis. Postcolonial theory states that old structures from the colonization are keeping the South poor and the North rich. Today there?s a shift in these structures as former colonizers Spain and Portugal are forced to ask for economical support from their former colonies.The colonial discourse separated white from black and depicted the population in the colonies as the absolute antithesis of the Europeans. In Portugal circulated also lusotropicalism, an ideology that claimed Portugal as absolutely free of racism, a statement with great influence in the postcolonial Portugal.On the basis of semi-structured focus groups I will in this paper do a discourse analysis of young, university educated Portuguese identity/ies in relation to the former colonies and the changing relations to these countries.

Knowledge Management (KM) behandlar förmågan att tillvarata intellektuellt kapital med syfte att överföra kunskap från individ till organisation. Vår studie är formad enligt kvalitativa arbetssätt, med en fallstudie på ett globalt, tillverkande företag i Sverige. Rapportens syften är att bidra till forskningsområdet KM, undersöka metoder för kunskapshantering med fokus på projektverksamhet samt undersöka i vilken mån detta företag är en lärande organisation. Den teoretiska grunden baseras på områden som identifierades ha en nära anknytning till KM och vår problemställning; KM, kunskap, projektledare, lärande organisationer och företagskultur.

Milk ejection in dairy cows can be inhibited if oxytocin is not released from the pituitary gland. The problem with inhibition of the milk let down is not new, but has recently regained interest. It is observed during different types of emotional stress, for example when cows are moved to an unfamiliar environment, during oestrus, changing from suckling to machine milking or when being milked for the first time. The aim of the study was to examine the extent of cows with disturbed milk ejection in Sweden. A survey was sent out to 1000 dairy farmers in order to collect data about herd size, housing systems and routines at calving and milking.
