Framtidens energieffektiva flerbostadshus
The housing sector of today represents for almost 40% of the energy consumption, an energy consumption of which the major part consists of non-renewable energy sources. This is not sustainable and utilization of new energy-efficient technologies in buildings can be a step in the right direction, towards a sustainable energy society.This report has been made on behalf of and in cooperation with Älvstranden Utveckling AB in Gothenburg to examine how future energy-efficient technologies can affect the energy demand in energy-efficient multi-dwelling buildings.The report is based on Älvstrandens passive house, Hamnhuset, a house whose energy consumption is far below the BBR's requirements. The report looks at the opportunities for improvement within windows, insulation, solar energy technologies, as well as white goods. Computer simulations are then made to apply the selected technologies into a reference building. Technologies are selected from an energy efficient perspective and no account has been taken of other aspects such as the economy.
Språkbad - en insats för framtiden? : En jämförande analys mellan språkbadselever och enspråkiga elever
This thesis is based on thirteen qualitative interviews with civil servants and politicians. The purpose of the study is to research these informants? attitudes towards integration and their reflections about immigrants? lower chances in an ethnically segregated housing and labour market. The theoretical frame of references is based on social constructionism and focuses on including and excluding power structures. The empirical material provides both structural and cultural explanations to immigrants? problems as regards inclusion in Swedish society.
Med arbete i sikte : En studie om sfi-bransch i Linköpings kommun
Syftet med uppsatsen är att analysera huruvida sfi (svenskundervisning för invandrare)-bransch har varit en lyckad socialpolitisk satsning från Linköpings kommuns sida. Med intervjuer som det största empiriska materialet behandlar uppsatsen ämnen som anses vara relevanta för eleven på sfi-bransch. Sfi-bransch framträder som en plats för lärdom men också som en del av en kedja av restriktioner som tillsammans motverkar syftet med sfi, det vill säga att berättiga sig ett arbete och i vidare mening integreras. Uppsatsen diskuterar även enheter som under studien framträtt som betydelsefulla för eleven, utifrån syftet med sfi. The formulation of visions into practical projects is an important part of the professional expertise of landscape architects. This expertise includes the gathering, structuring, improvement and utilization of knowledge. Project models have been developed to provide tools for the implementation and governance of projects, as well as means of learning, reflection and survey of individual projects.
The aim of this thesis is to describe some general project models and their theory, and to describe practical, real-life examples of project models used within landscape architecture. Questions asked are:

Background: Borderline personality disorder is a psychiatric diagnosis that one to two percent of the population and at least every fourth patient that have received treatment at a psychiatric clinic has been diagnosed with. BPD is most common in women between teenage and early adulthood. Purpose: The aim of this literature study was to emphasize the nursing care of patients diagnosed with BPD within different perspectives. Method: A literature study was conducted to get a deeper understanding for the nursing care of patients with BPD. The search for pertinent articles, answering to the aim of the study, was done in different databases.
Vad motiverar personer att ta anställning på ett nystartat och nyskapande företag?
The aim of this study is to examine the factors that motivate people to seek employment at a start-up company. We have conducted a qualitative study by interviewing ten people at six different start-up companies in Stockholm. Empirical findings show that the interviewed are mainly motivated by the possibility to work with challenging work tasks and the possibility to influence and acquire responsibility. Furthermore, status and other self-fulfilment factors such as building something from scratch that can create value and the possibility for a potential ownership is also contributing to the interviewed motivation to seek employment at a start-up. Factors such as an attractive labour market and a possibility to take a temporary break from the university, have contributed to the overall low risk perception of working at a start-up company.
Hot och möjligheter vid expandering - en studie av småföretagare i Gävleborg
The purpose with this essay is to enlighten the small business´ existence at times of expansion, identify threats and possibilities and also to try to find ways to encourage growth in the small business.To answer our purpose we carried out a literature study to later implement six interviews with small business leaders. We separated the companies into three categories; small business without employees, small business with 2-5 employees and small business with 6-10 employees.We confirm that the main reason why small business leaders think both once and twice before hireing new labour force are because of the high costs. The change in government has so far not given the small business what was promised, but there is still hope for improvement and simplification.The economic part of owning a company has been pointed out as the greatest threat in relation with expansion and the big responsibility in another persons possibilities to earn his/her living is also burdensome. A resource based view of productivity, firm growth and technical management tools : a case study of Swedish large-scale farms
The past and ongoing structural change in Swedish agriculture has led to an increasing
number of large-scale farms. The biological factors associated with large-scale farming
operations may cause increasing variability, risk and reduced yields due to sub-optimal timing
and management of field operations. The theory of economies of scale suggests that largescale
production may benefit from lower costs due to scale efficiencies. Thus, large-scale
farms may face cost reductions in terms of long term inputs factors, e.g. agricultural
machinery.

SAMMANFATTNINGDenna studie är en analys av Krisberedskapsmyndighetens forskningsrapporter ifråga om deras perspektiv på mottagarna vid kriskommunikation. Studien har två syften, dels att undersöka vilken roll forskarna ger mottagarna i de nuvarande studierna, dels att reflektera hur forskningen skulle kunna kompletteras i framtiden. Krisberedskapsmyndigheten är den myndighet som ansvarar för att vara samordnande myndighet i en krissituation, planera inför kommande kriser och att samla in kunskap om kriser.Denna studie använder sig av mottagarperspektivet encoding/decoding för att undersöka Krisberedskapsmyndighetens forskningsrapporter. Encoding/decoding perspektivet ser på mottagarna som aktiva och komplexa i tolkningen av meddelanden. Perspektivet menar attolika mottagare kan tolka information på olika sätt beroende på vilken bakgrund mottagaren har.

The study takes its starting point in Lipskys theory about street-level bureaucracy. Questions that are discussed are about how the education is understood by refugee?s coordinators, civic communicators and the new immigrates, how the organization has been and what role the demography and economic structures has played for the organization. Today we spend a lot of time at our place of work. Changes in the Swedish labour market have caused illness for many people. This has contributed to that many people have been reported sick. The purpose with this study was to investigate and deskribe factors the staff, at a social insurance office, identify as important for health at a place of work. Ten employees at the social insurance office took part in the study.

Upon marketing the system in Europe and the USA cost savings generated from reduced work force have been prevailing. Since the cost of labour is much lower in the Asia Pacific region other factors have to be stressed. The parameters of flexibility and quality assurance may however cover any initial investment in a production system. Our purpose is to value flexibility and quality in a manufacturing context, applied to DAS, in order to use it in investment calculations. In order to make an adequate estimation of different companies, due to problems associated with acquiring correct figures, the Key Success Factors needs to be examined so that the gathering of numbers can be conducted with more focus.
Attraktiv arbetsgivare : En kvantitativ studie inom Luftfartsverket
This study was carried out at Luftfartsverket (LFV Group, Swedish Airports and Air Navigation Services). The aim was to study what characterizes an employer of choice and further to examine how well the employees at Luftfartsverket feel that their employer lives up to this image. A quantitative method was applied in the form of a selfdeveloped questionnaire. It was answered by a random sample of employees at Luftfartsverket.The results showed that salary, good leadership, good relations to colleagues and a sense of participation were important factors to be an employer of choice. In the organization at hand good colleagues were the most fulfilled factor whereas good leadership were the least fulfilled factor.
