På våren 2014 invigs Litteraturhuset för barn och unga ? I Sandviken för hela regionen. Målgruppen ärbarn och unga, 0-18 år. Litteraturhuset kommer att fokusera på tre delar som ska utgöra helheten; denförsta är den lär- och språkstimulerande miljön, den andra är ett kunskapscenter och den tredje är attLitteraturhuset ska utgöra en forskningsresurs. Under tre års tid har arbetet pågått som ett projekt, imaj 2013 beslutades att Litteraturhuset ska övergå i fast verksamhet.

IBS patients experiences of eating the low FODMAP-dietIrritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common, functional gastrointestinal tract disorder. The disease is benign but may cause much suffering for the individual. The treatments available are used to relieve symptoms. One nutrition therapy is to exclude fermentable oligo-, di-, monosaccharide and polyols, so callde FODMAPS, from the diet. This diet is proven successful and even significantly better than the standard nutrition advice for IBS.

Due to progresses constantly being made in veterinary medicine combined with increasing knowledge in pet owners, the dogs of today gets older than before. The population of geriatric dogs is there for constantly growing, which makes them an important group of patients on small animal clinics and hospitals. As dogs age, so do their interior organs. Geriatric dogs are prone to several diseases and in this text the author has decided to focus on three of the most common: Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS), cancer and osteoarthritis (AO). All of these illnesses are incurable in dogs, but it is important to remember that they are still treatable.

When models are used to describe physical phenomenon during development or modification of a technical system, it is often possible to reduce both the time needed and the overall development cost. With the use of models it is also possible to investigate the potential of the selected solution, without the need for any expensive details and testrigs. In many cases it is also not possible to test all the aspects regarding the functionality that are desired from the system, without using the complete and final product.In this case a model based approach has been used to optimize the different parameters in the new snubbing mechanism for the Nose Landing Gear Retract Actuator on the JAS39 Gripen.During the simulations, upper and lower boundaries were calculated for the length of the spring and the diameter for the restrictor. The governing constraints were given by the requirements for the retraction time during cold conditions and that the amplitude of the alternating loads in the uplock mechanism were brought to an acceptable level.The most promising results from the simulations were then used in a limited number of trials in the hydraulic rig to verify that the configurations comply with the requirements.The final parameters for the snubbing mechanism were chosen to 35±1mm for the spring and 0.4-0.5 mm diameter for the restrictor..

The nutrition treatment has mainly consisted of energy restriction, together with exercise and drugs to reduce insulin resistance and consequently reduce androgen levels. However, an in-depth knowledge about how the components of our diet can affect further, is lacking.Omega-3-fatty acids can affect insulin resistance and testosterone levels within other groups but today knowledge is lacking if these findings can be transferred to women with PCOS.

This study examines how women are portrayed in four of Disney?s feature films, withthe focus on the presentation of relations between women. The films examined areSnow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), Sleeping Beauty (1959), The Little Mermaid(1989) and Frozen (2013). The aim is to analyse the development that has taken placefrom a gender perspective, from the earliest film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs(1937), to the latest, Frozen (2013), and to reveal the significance of the femalecharacters for each other. The films? portrayal of women and female relations isdiscussed in relation to previous criticism of Disney for their stereotyped portrayal ofwomen, and through a thematic comparison with the known fairytales on which thefilms are based.

Short bowel syndrome (SBS) är ett tillstånd som uppkommer hos personer som har förlorat stora segment av tarmen vilket resulterar i malnutrition och de som har mindre än 2 meter tarm är mycket utsatta. Forskningen visar att det är många aspekter av livet som berörs för de personer som drabbats av SBS och det medför en förändrad livssituation för den sjuke personen. Förändringarna påverkar inte bara den som är drabbad utan även familjen, så som en partner. För att öka vårdarens förståelse för dessa partners situation är det viktigt att uppmärksamma och belysa deras upplevelse. Syftet med studien är att belysa partners upplevelse av att leva med någon som har SBS.

The Disney princess line includes nine films, in our study we have extended this line to include the latest three films from Walt Disney Pictures that follow the same pattern. These films are Tangled (2010), Brave (2012) and Frozen (2013). We have conducted our study using the same method used by England, Descartes and Collier-Meeks (2011) in their study of the first nine films, starting with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs produced in 1937 to Princess and the Frog from 2009. A quantitative study was executed where we focused on gender role portrayal, the main characters behavioral characteristics and performed rescues. We applied the following theories to our result; the Social Constructivism, Laura Mulvey?s theory of the Male Gaze, Michel Foucault?s theory of power and discourse, intersectionality and Claude E.

White- and blue collar workers traditionally belong to different unions and, therefore, are covered by different collective agreements. Collective agreements for different employee categories create internal divisions, which mean that white collar workers are not obliged to do work that falls under a blue collar agreement and reversed. Historically the difference between white- and blue collar work has been fairly sharp and so has the difference between collective agreements. Due to the continuous development of technology white- and blue collar work within production has become less clear. This has resulted in an increasing amount of disagreements regarding what collective agreement should apply and whether the employee is obliged to perform different work tasks.

Title: Consequences of diversion ? a qualitative interview study regarding illicitbuprenorphine use.In year 1999 buprenorphine was introduced in Sweden and is used in treatment for opioiddependence. An issue concerning substitution treatment programmes is the occurrence ofdiversion and the following illegal sails of buprenorphine on a black market. The aim of thisstudy was to explore how people who have used illicitly obtained buprenorphine describessuch abuse. The study was conducted using qualitative method, where a total of fiveindividuals were interviewed about past experiences of having used illicitly acquiredbuprenorphine.

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) är en komplex sjukdom som yttrar sig på många sättoch i olika svårighetsgrad. Nuvarande behandling riktar sig mot att behandla varjesymtom var för sig. Hos patienter med svåra symtom är detta inte alltid tillräckligt.Efterupptäckten att tricykliska antidepressiva (TCA) kan lindra IBS hosdiarrédominanta patienter ökade intresset för andra antidepressiva läkemedel. Dettaledde till att selektiva serotoninåterupptagshämmare (SSRI) blev intressanta. SSRIpreparat har visats ha en smärtlindrande effekt hos patienter med IBS och en parallellhar dragits till signalsubstansen serotonin som finns i både hjärnan och tarmen.

In recent years, revelations about illegal international adoptions have made headlines around the world, and one notable country where many illegal adoptions have been facilitated is Chile. To find out that one's adoption wasn?t facilitated legally is a shock for the individual that raises many new questions about themselves and their origins. This study intends to examine how the identity of stolen adoptees has changed in their adulthood after they have found out that they were stolen, as well as to investigate how they experience alienation in Sweden from their position as both stolen and non-white adoptees. Qualitative methods have been employed in this study: participant observation, semi-structured in-depth interviews, and informal interviews.

Idag har man två alternativ när man behöver en receptionsdisk- antingen köper man ett färdigt system från till exempel Kinnarpsför cirka 15 000 kr eller så ber man en arkitekt rita en platsanpassadreception för cirka 300 000 kr. Kostnaderna är naturligtvis igenerella termer men poängen är att det inte finns något alternativmellan dessa lösningar. Syftet med mitt examensarbete är att gekonsumenter av receptionsdiskar möjlighet att välja inom en kategoridär man till en tillräckligt låg kostnad kan få en receptionsdisksom ändå kan ge ett unikt uttryck. I mitt examensarbete har jagtagit fram ett generellt system för receptionsdiskar. Möbeln har ettflexibelt förhållningssätt till formgivningen vilket är unikt om manjämför med de system som finns på marknaden idag.

Fotboll är en högintensiv idrott med stor risk för skador på främst nedre extremitet. Skaderisken är som störst under försäsongen, då främst i form av överbelastningsskador. Medial tibial stress syndrome (MTSS) är en relativt vanlig överbelastningsskada. MTSS definieras som smärta längs den posteriomediala tibia kanten som uppstår under aktivitet och ömmar vid palpation. De flesta sjukgymnastiska åtgärder som används mot MTSS idag saknar evidens.

Pain related behaviour in 1.5 year old colts was studied both prior to and following castration. The horses were filmed 24 h prior to surgery and 24 h postoperatively. Parameters, inactive and active behaviours, were recorded in terms of cumulative time observed. Both groups of horses were exercised three times and the gait quality was evaluated. Few differences were observed between the groups.
