When studying the voting behaviour of the Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) concerning the Services Directive within the EU, what patterns can be observed? With a starting point in previous findings about voting behaviour, this study analyses the results of the given Roll-call votes in the European Parliament in regards to the Services Directive. Here I focus on the division of votes within and between the member states and the parliamentary political groups; with the aim to identify patterns that might show clash of opinion concerning this issue. I found that ideology seems to play a role in the MEPs voting behaviour. Parties on the far left reach the highest level of cohesion and together with the party on the far right, they voted against the Directive, but due to different reasons.

The theme of this bachelor thesis in sociology has been developed through the perspective of ?grounded theory?, where the writers starting point touched the subject of integration in the organization Samhall in Sweden, an organization that hires disabled individuals that do not have enough working abilities to be hired any place else. From there, the methodology moved into a qualitative research through interviews with first generation immigrants hired at Samhall, where the result presented clear patterns of integration problems such as identification with an organization that does not have a normal way of working, the feelings of security which led to an unwillingness to leave the organization (which actually is the main goal of Samhall) and the stigmatized presumptions of the organization as such that makes it even harder to get a regular job on the open work market. These patterns were then put together with theories of stigma, cultural sociology and organizational identification, which three were the theoretical framework of this thesis. This study has contributed with an enlightenment of how it is to be an immigrant in a state governed organization and the consequences that follow when integrating an immigrant in a work disabled working environment. .

With a starting point in a project for reinforcing small scale business among immigrants in Sweden, carried out within Swedish for immigrants (sfi), the aim for this thesis is to examine the project from the view and experiences of the participants. Interviews with participants in the project have been inspired by the teoretical and methodological views of Grounded Theory.The interviews show that some participants want to start their own business, but almost as many don?t have that dream. The former group all have experience of being self-employed. They are aware of the difficulties but are nevertheless determined to proceed their dream.

The media plays a key role in constructing identities and categories, as its messages influence the way we understand the world. In the debate on integration issues, categories such as ?Swede? and ?immigrant? are often treated as obvious and unproblematic. ?Swedish?, being the norm, is seldom defined   and   frequently appears   with   subtlety.   This   paper   set   out   to   study   what   characterizes Swedishness in newspaper articles on integration issues, and how it is represented in relations to immigrants.

BakgrundI tidigare forskning har det framkommit att den svenska skolan och förskolan inte kommitsärskilt långt i sitt arbete med integration och utvecklande av interkulturelltförhållningssätt. Vidare visar tidigare forskning också att förskollärare i stor utsträckning använder sig av ett reciprokt eller kompensatoriskt arbetssätt. Här finns också belagt att förskolan som kulturell arena är en lämplig plattform för integration och för det förebyggande arbetet med att motverka dikotomier som exempelvis ?vi? och ?dom?.SyfteSyftet med studien är att undersöka ett pågående integrationsprojekt som syftar till att öka antalet möten mellan barn från segregerade områden i en kommundel i södra Sverige. Undersökningens huvudsakliga fokus kommer att beröra pedagogers, arbetsgivares och projektledares uppfattningar kring integration i förskolan samt vilka förväntningar som finns kring det pågående projektet.MetodFör att inhämta analyserbart material till studien har verktyget selfreport används.Selfreport innebär att respondenterna ombeds svara på frågor i löpande text.Respondenterna består av tre förskollärare, två arbetsgivare och två projektledare.Resultatet har sedan analyserats kvalitativt.ResultatResultaten visar att de tillfrågade pedagogerna, arbetsgivarna och projektledarna innehar liknande uppfattningar kring vad begreppet integration står för och de uttrycker att de tror att ökad integration leder till ökade möjligheter till lika villkor i samhället.

This study finds that the Swedish Government has a process for purchasing financial advisory services that is more transaction-oriented than the corresponding process at a Swedish private equity firm. The conclusion is supported by previous research comparing public and private sector purchasing processes. However, the differences between the two purchasing processes are not as significant as one might believe given the fact that the Government, unlike the private equity firm, has to operate under the Public Procurement Act (LOU). The tendency of the Swedish Government to apply a more relationoriented purchasing approach than expected is most likely driven by the fact that this represents the established professional norm for purchasing of professional services in the private sector. As LOU and the professional norm impose contradictory influences on the Swedish Government?s purchasing of financial advisory services, the final outcome depends on which of the two forces that dominate..

Uppsatsen är en komparativ studie av dansk och svensk integrationspolitik. I uppsatsen ställs frågan om vilka åtgärder Sverige och Danmark vidtagit för att nå integration av invandrare och vad resultatet blivit av dessa. Uppsatsen fokuserar på fyra olika områden som kan anses indikera hur väl man i länderna lyckats med sitt integrationsarbete. Dessa områden är Arbete, utbildning, politiskt deltagande och bostadssituation, vilka har undersökts med hjälp av svensk och dansk statistik. Uppsatsen visar att invandrare på alla dessa områden ligger efter övriga invånare.

In this paper we aim to delve deeper into the film industry and how their approach to streaming services such as Netflix might be the solution to the problems with piracy (people downloading illegally instead of paying for the products) - but before they can change the mindset of people, they have to overcome some issues that might make it hard for the film industry to adapt a fully functionable streaming sollution in the veins of Spotify. To come up with some conclusions regarding this matter, we focused our study on the consumers rather than the industry in order to get a better understanding about what the consumers think about the streaming services of film that are offered today. We used both surveys and interviews in order to gather information regarding the consumers thoughts on how the landscape of film distribution has evolved to a point where Video-on-Demand offers the opportunity to watch movies and TV-series whereever and whenever they want. Our research shows that the majority of consumers are willing to pay for streaming services of film and hold the new technology in high regard. However, the concensus among the consumers that were involved in our study shows that the streaming services offered today have to evolve even further in the future before it can fully work as a substitute for illegal downloading.

The purpose of this study was to investigate how three Swedish news publications writes about integration and immigrants. The news articles were analyzed with a rhetorical analysis. The method was supplemented with theories of media and ethnicity, agenda setting theory and gatekeeping theory. This study resulted in the conclusion that racist discourses are found in the three news publications, regardless of political color, writer or article genre. Many of the articles makes a clear division of "us and them", where "them" is defined by the text's "us", who are often Swedes.

Det finns ett ökat intresse för företagsförvärv och huvudanledningen till det är att företag vill skapa synergieffekter. Många företag misslyckas med att göra företagsförvärv och tidigare studier visar på svårigheter vid integration. Bristande anpassning av strategi och ledarskap har inte gett förklaring till varför företag misslyckas med integrationer. Mänskliga och kulturella aspekter har visat sig vara relevanta att studera för lyckade integrationer.Studiens syfte är att öka förståelsen för institutionella mekanismer vid integration av företagskulturer vid företagsförvärv. Ett delsyfte är att identifiera framgångsfaktorer för en lyckad integration av företagskulturer vid företagsförvärv.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att granska effekterna av regional integration på FDI hos de länder som blev medlemmar i EU 2004 samt 2007. Utifrån teori gällande sambandet mellan regional integration och FDI, analyseras empirisk data över stock och flöden av FDI till de nya medlemsländerna i syfte att utreda förekomsten av investeringsalstring och/eller investeringsomfördelning inom denna integration av typen öst-väst där det råder stora skillnader i inkomstnivå mellan medlemsländerna. Analysen visar att FDI till de nya medlemsländerna, både från andra medlemsländer och tredje land, har ökat till följd av ländernas medlemskap i EU. Mätt i absolutvärde kan det konstateras att FDI från andra medlemsländer är avsevärt mycket större än FDI från tredje land. Vidare har de nya medlemsländerna upplevt investeringsalstring och investeringsomfördelning från andra medlemsländer samt investeringsomfördelning där FDI från EU15 flyttar från tredje land till de nya medlemsländerna.

Mitt syfte med uppsatsen är att se hur bibliotekarier som arbetar dagligen med invandrargrupper, ser på sitt uppdrag med att främja integration samt hur arbetet med programaktiviteter kan ligga till grund för integrering. I undersökningen intervjuas 4 bibliotekarier på 3 biblioteket som arbetar mycket med integrering och invandrare som användargrupp. I resultatet framkommer det att arbetet med programaktiviteter kan främja integrering eftersom det bjuder in till både dialog och deltagande.  Dock anser bibliotekarierna att det är möjligt att göra integrering till en del utav varje arbetsmoment som sker på biblioteket..
