Standardiserad systemlösning för mikroföretag
The thesis is about exploring possibilities for developing a standardised system solution for micro businesses, this since most of the micro business lack proper system solutions, a contributing factor of this is price and also incompatibility between the solution and the business itself. The system solutions we will refer to are solutions which task is to cover the most important needs that a micro business might have on their system. The main goal with this research is to see if this is possible, and if so, how the developers should think to take it further. We chose to do this by identifying the most significant of needs a micro business has when it comes to this type of system solution.In this thesis we will present three needs which were evaluated and brought forth through the analyses of various interviews and observations we had done during the study. The interviews took place at respective company with their employees and consisted both closed and open questions with our main focus on the open questions because we wanted to obtain as much information from the respondents as possible from several viewpoints.
Kartläggning av föroreningars förekomst och spridning i Gräsötippen enligt MIFO
It is estimated that 22 000 contaminated areas exist in Sweden today. In order to classify the risk of contaminant migration from these areas and to prioritize which of these contaminated areas should first be treated, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has designed a method, for the investigation of contaminated areas (MIFO). One of these contaminated areas is the landfill Gräsötippen outside Köping. The landfill has been used by both Yara AB and the Köping municipality between the years 1945 and 1975, and both industrial and household waste have been deposited there. The aim of this report is to survey which contaminants that can be found in the soil and water in the landfill Gräsötippen and to evaluate the migration of these contaminants.

Vattenkvalitet och risker vid ändrat intag för vattenförsörjning i Västerås
Water is the most essential resource for life. In cases where drinking water is processed from surface water it is important to ensure the raw water is of good quality, and is suitable for processing through the water treatment plant.The drinking water for Västerås is sourced from Västeråsfjärden, in the western side of Lake Mälaren. The city itself is home to marinas, ports, a wastewater treatment plant, the Svartån outlet, sewage pumping stations and stormwater outlets. Because of the negative effects these activities have on surface water quality, Mälarenergi AB is interested in relocating the raw water intake point to Granfjärden, 10 km east of Västeråsfjärden. At Granfjärden the intake point would be less exposed to the activities in Västerås, and could be placed at a greater depth, resulting in better water quality.In this Master?s thesis the water quality and the pollution risks at Västeråsfjärden and Granfjärden sites are compared.

The construction and real estate industry represents a significant part of Sweden's total impact on the environment and mainly affects the following national environmental objectives: reduced climate impact, a good built environment and a non-toxic environment. By establishing internal rules, companies within the industry can reduce their environmental impact. SMT (AB Sandvik Materials Technology), a part of the industrial group Sandvik AB, has set a target that during 2014 develop a guiding document with special consider to the environmental impact during construction of office buildings, that they establish at the Swedish regional capital Sandviken, for both internal and external tenants. This study therefore aims to clarify which environmental aspects that the construction and real estate sector mainly are responsible for, and therefore should be part of a guiding document for a company for establishing office buildings, and to present arguments regarding the use of such a document. The study is based on literature studies and personal contact with other companies, in the form of e-mail conversations and a telephone interview.

Detta examensarbete har genomförts på Mape Sweden AB med syfte att eliminera eller minska icke värdeskapande aktiviteter inom inköpsprocessen. Genom att undersöka hur fö-retaget arbetar med inköp och dess inköpsaktiviteter för verktyg och reservdelar är målet att hitta lösningar som innebär en tidseffektivisering av inköpsprocessen.Arbetet är av kvalitativ karaktär. Denna ansats valdes då gruppen ville få en förståelse över nuläget genom kvalitativa metoder. Metoderna som använts för att samla in data till arbetet var observationer och intervjuer, en litteraturstudie samt benchmarking på ett annat tillver-kande företag. För att ta fram förbättringsförslag till företaget utfördes ett spagettidiagram över förflyttningar.

Den totala biogasproduktionen i Sverige 2009 var 1,4 TWh och 22 % av biogasen producerades i samrötningsanläggningar. Sedan 2005 är det förbjudet att deponera organiskt avfall, vilket har gjort att produktionen från samrötningsanläggningar har ökat de senaste åren. Den totala biogaspotentialen i Sverige är ungefär 15 TWh och där står lantbruket för över 70 %. Avloppsslam, avfall från livsmedelsindustrin och matavfall står för den resterande delen. Det är även dessa tre råvarugrupper som har störst lönsamhet med dagens teknik.
Assessment of food retail business sustainability : the case of Konsum Värmland
Public concern and the need of responsible way of doing business have brought forward the issue of sustainability at the forefront of discussion in the last decade. Even though, food retailers are playing an important role in the economy, they are exposed for criticism by media and consumers for any socially and environmentally irresponsible business practices because, the potential environmental and social impacts from their operations are significant. These impacts need to be recognized and properly addressed. The main objective of this study was to assess the sustainable business management of a cooperative food retail business in Sweden, known as Konsum Värmland (KV). The necessary data and information on history and status of KV, and its practical activities concerning the implementation of sustainable development programs as well as the motivation and challenges encountered by KV during the implementation were gathered via reviewing different documents, research papers and press releases; interviewing decision makers and other personnel in KV and other researchers from Swedish University of Agricultural University who have investigated KV.

Scanias nuvarande mjukvaruprocess upplevs, i många fall, vara onödigt lång från det att en idé har genererats tills att den har lanserats på marknaden. För att konkurrera på marknaden är det viktigt att erbjuda nya tjänster och ny avancerad fordonsstyrning som snabbt ska kunna sättas i produktion. För att säkerställa att mjukvaran uppfyller de uppsatta kvalitet- och säkerhetskraven används inarbetade processer däribland den så kalladeEmbedded Release Process. Dock är denna process inte alltid till hjälp för utvecklingen och kan medföra lång "time-to-market".Syftet med detta examensarbete var att utreda Scanias nuvarande utvecklingsprocess av mjukvara med avseende på ledtider, eftersom det idag råder frågetecken om huruvida processen är tidsmässigt optimerad från idé tills att den når kund.De metoder som har använts för att angripa de uppställda frågeställningarna har bestått mestadels av kvalitativa forskningsmetoder så som litteraturstudie, värdeflödesanalys, fallstudie, benchmarking samt workshop. Såsom ett komplement till den kvalitativa forskningen har statistik tillämpats i fallstudien.Värdeflödesanalysen visade på många överlämningar inom organisationen, centraliserad beslutsfattning samt att flödet sker sekventiellt.

In several countries that have been early in the development of wind farms, there is today a second hand market for the used wind turbines. The European Union (EU) has established a waste hierarchy in order to minimize throwaway mentality. The second hand market is a part of this as the steps are to minimize, reuse, recycle, extract energy and landfill.In order to promote the development of renewable energy, there are energy certificates for the producers that provide it, wind power being one type of renewable energy. After 15 years the energy certificates for a specific wind turbine are no longer paid, and after that there are several different scenarios for the wind turbine. The scenarios investigated in this bachelor?s thesis are export of the wind turbine to countries that are not as far along as Sweden in their development towards renewable energy, selling in Sweden to individuals, and recycling of the wind turbine, as it mostly consists of metals and therefore is recyclable.
