Designingenjörerna Ida Evervall och Toni Maric från Högskolan i Skövde har under våren 2014 arbetat med ett produktutvecklingsprojekt tillsammans med en dörrtillverkande uppdragsgivare. Dagsljusinsläppet till hallar i lägenheter är i princip obefintligt och lampor används för att tillgodose behovet av ljus. Ett dörrtillbehör har utvecklats i syfte att samla in ljus från utsidan av lägenheten och transportera detta genom dörren till insidan, helt insynsskyddat. Uppdragsgivaren ville att transporten av ljuset främst skulle ske med hjälp av fiberoptik. Efter experiment framkom att fiberoptiken var tillräcklig för att transportera ljuset, en insamlande lins framför gav betydligt bättre resultat soliga dagar.

Atlas Copco Tools is a world leading company in tool manufacturing. The productionin Tierp works hard to improve their assembly to maintain its position. This thesis isa part of their improvement efforts to be a more Lean production.The main focus for this thesis was to identify the material flow in the kanban system,which used to supply the assembly groups, focusing on the material flow to assemblygroup 9 and the assembly group 3. Group 3's material flow within the kanban systemwas perceived to perform better than the group 9. The handling of kanban materialand their working methods in the two groups was identify those differences whichaffected the kanban system.As an alternative material supply a study were done in kiting.

Handling materials and packaging, which is the focus of this study, requires efficient logistics, both internally and between companies. To achieve an efficient material flow, good information systems, whose role is to collect, store, process and distribute information, are required. The assumption that packagings are handled in an efficient manner is currently not a matter of course, when many companies do not prioritize the internal management of the package.The purpose of this report was to investigate how medium-sized businesses working with distribution and handling of spare parts packaging can improve their internal management of packaging. In order to answer the purpose, we have used an abductive process and a qualitative data collection. The study had Logistic Center Ljungby (LCL) at Electrolux Laundry Systems (ELS) as a case company and two other respondents, Nibe in Markaryd and Enertech in Ljungby.

Demand has become increasingly difficult to forecast in today?s volatile markets. Being able to produce towards real demand is becoming vital for companies, since inventories of finished goods are expensive to maintain and because miscalculated products tie up capital that in the end is never repaid. More and more companies are using postponement strategies to delay the process of producing until real demand has become known. Tooling Support Halmstad is a company within the manufacturing industry, which has become aware of the benefits with postponement strategies for parts of their production.

This master thesis was carried out at ELFA, one of the largest catalogue distributors of electronics in northern Europe. ELFA offers a wide selection of products such as measuring instruments, fuses and screwdrivers. The master thesis handles the possibilities of an increase in the internal flow of products. The background to this problem is ELFA?s acquisition of two new companies, which brought the product range in the Warehouse from 55 000 to 80 000 products.

The purpose of this assignment at SSAB Tunnplåt in Borlänge was mainly to investigate and describe the circumstances for the spare parts stored in storage facilities within the area of operation. Even new facilities which could serve as storage rooms and their opportunities for storing spare parts were an important part of the investigation. This because of the need for improved storing of spare parts. Furthermore, market offers where reviewed for storage of spare parts in more tailored designs. The work will culminate in proposals for improvement which is of importance for the development surrounding the storage and handling of spare parts.

Kritik har riktats av forskare mot bristerna i kommunikationen mellan företag och dess investerare, vilket leder till onödigt höga kostnader för investerare att analysera och bearbeta informationen. Detta leder i sin tur till att företagens kapitalkostnader blir högre än nödvändigt. Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att ge förslag på hur svenska företag kan förbättra kommunikationen med sina investerare för att deras beslutsfattande förbättras. Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ metod som bygger på intervjuer med representanter för kreditinstitut, aktieägare och professionella analytiker, som arbetar med investeringar i svenska aktiemarknadsföretag. Angreppssättet har varit normativt/induktivt, vilket innebär att vi har gjort en induktiv studie, men vårt syfte har varit normativt.

Examensarbetet är utfört på Lifco Dental, som är ett distributionsföretag i Enköping undervårterminen 2013 och omfattar 30 högskolepoäng. Lifco Dentals huvudsakliga verksamhet ärlagerhantering av tandläkarartiklar och det rör sig om cirka 40 000 artiklar i varierandestorlek.Examensarbetet avser i första hand styrning av lagerhållning och artikelplacering. Andraområden som har bearbetas är ergonomi och personalfrågor. Arbetet kretsar kring följandeforskningsfrågor;1. Enligt vilka principer kan man placera artiklar?2.

Målet med denna uppsats har varit att kartlägga vilken kvalité informationen som datalager tillhandahåller har för de beslutsfattare som använder datalagret. Vi har även försökt identifiera olika faktorer som kan vara viktiga att beakta för att uppnå en hög informationskvalité hos datalager. För att kunna genomföra detta har vi intervjuat olika beslutsfattare för att kartlägga hur de uppfattar den information som deras datalager genererar. Genom denna undersökning har vi kommit fram till att datalagren varit givande och framgångsrika för de tre företag vi genomfört undersökningen på. De har alla upplevt omfattande fördelar med det som de inte upplevde innan introduktionen av datalagret.

Swedish agriculture stands in front of big changes the whole time. As a milking producer you have to adapt and develop the company to these changes and find the best solution. This potential is easy to find if you compare your company with other similar companies. Labour cost is the biggest cost in milking production after the cost for food. Today it is rather easy to measure how many hours per cow different system of cow houses needs, but we do not know so much about how many hours it takes to breed a calf. To learn more about the labour time with the calves during the first time after the calf was born, I made time studies on five different farms with calf hutches, automatic milk system, large calf boxes, and smaller calf boxes with teat buckets.

Denna rapport är resultatet av en analys som gjorts vid Vest-Woods fabrik i Forserum under våren 2007 i syfte att reducera interna transporter. Vest-Wood AB i Forserum tillverkar dörrar för den svenska marknaden men förser också en annan fabrik (SdrFelding i Danmark) i samma koncern med dörrstommar. Materialhantering för att förse Sdr Felding fabriken med dörrstommar medför i dagsläget mycket interna transporter i Forserumsfabriken. För att klara ojämn efterfrågan från Sdr Felding fabriken samt för att kunna jämna ut sin egen produktion har Forserumsfabriken valtatt lagerföra de tolv artiklar som beställs mest frekvent från Sdr Felding fabriken. Buffertlagret vid Forserumsfabriken där artiklarna lagerförs är placerat ca 200 m från produktionen vilket medför mycket intern transport för hantering av dessa.
