The company wants to be able to hire more women, and have started group meetings with the women at the company to discuss related issues.The purpose of the interviews was to hear the women's views on the company, relating to gender equality issues. Internal marketing has been proposed as a means of gaining competetive edge in a market where service quality is an important precursor to performance. Still, the practical application of internal marketing remains relatively limited, which is hypothesized to be partly attributable to a widespread lack of the required philosophy which facilitates the effective implementation of internal marketing. The concept of internal market orientation (IMO) has been proposed as an accurate representation of this philosophy. This thesis attemps to assess the relevance of an IMO in relation to the internal marketing activities of an organisation. The aim of this two-year masters thesis is to look for the Swedish public library´s core business, using theories about competence. The approach is qualitative. It is done by studying the Unesco Public Library Manifesto, the Swedish library legislation, the education in library and information science, two important Swedish library related journals and by asking public librarians about their work and point of view regarding competence.The research shows mainly two sides of the core competence of public librarians: information technology competence and literature knowledge. As the environmental requirements on businesses increase from various stakeholders, the incentives for businesses to work more with environmental issues also increase. Historically, the requirements were focusing on companies with direct emissions from operations. Rabies is a fatal zoonotic disease spread worldwide. The most common sources of infection for all animals and humans are bites from dogs or bats. The aim of this degree project was to diagnose and determine the source of infection for 11 rabies samples from São Paulo State and Minas Gerais State, Brazil. Diagnosis was made through direct immunofluorescence assay, mouse inoculation and RT-PCR. The sources of infection were determined by sequencing 234 nucleotides of the 5? end of the N-gene and align these with homologous sequences retrieved from GenBank.

Totalt 147 personer inom offentlig sektor, fördelade över två organisationer, deltog i en enkätundersökning om identitet och frivilligt organisationsbeteende.Resultatet visade på signifikanta effekter för hög och låg AI på OCB, associerat med fyra av de fem deldimensionerna av OCB (altruism, samvetsgrannhet, hövlighet, och delaktighet). Försöksdeltagare med hög jämfört med låg AI skattade OCB högre (p < .01, ?2= .16). Generellt indikerar resultatet att organisationer potentiellt kan öka anställdas OCB genom att främja AI. .

The purpose of this study is to examine what factors that motivate people to work in professions with an explicit and inherent risk of threats and violence. By using a qualitative study and conducting in-depth interviews with eight security guards and doormen with experience from working at restaurants and nightclubs, the study could conclude that the interviewed security guards and doormen were motivated mainly by economic incentives and the social interaction that the profession entails. Status and riskiness of the profession did also, to a certain extent, contribute to the motivation. The professions' lack of advancement opportunities were frequently mentioned as the main reason to why one chose to leave the position, or consider the time in the profession as limited..
