This report is a study in voltagelevel in connection with regeneration of brake energy from the tramtype M31 in Gothenburg.In the act of braking, the tram M31 uses electrical braking where the electrical motors generates energy and if possible send it back to the overheadline, where other trams in the nearby can use this regenerated energy for its own driving force. In cases where no other energyconsumers are located in the same section, there is a resistance witch task is to convert this energy into heat. The purpose of this essay is to contribute to an extensive understanding of former criminals and addicts. These people are facing several difficulties and possibilities during childhood, adolescence, the active period, the turning-point and life after the turning-point and we have examined what they might consist of.In this survey we have applied a qualitative method and collected our basis from interviews with former criminals and addicts. Criminality and addiction is a complex problem. There are many different factors which contribute to develop this. The most differential factors are; insecure childhood, low self-esteem and wrong kind of friends.
Skuldlättnader som vapen i kampen mot korruption? : Om hur HIPC-initiativet påverkar korruptionsgraden i berörda länder
This paper examines how debt cancellation, given under the HIPC-initiative, has affected corruption over the period 2000-2006. The examination is foremost interesting due to earlier research showing that high corruption leads to unequal distribution of economic resources. This, combined with the objective of the HIPC initiative to reduce poverty, indicates that combating corruption must be successful in order to fulfill the goals of the initiative. A linear regression shows that countries that have benefited from the HIPC-initiative indeed have a lower corruption than other countries. A panel-data analysis shows on the other hand that no effect on corruption due to debt cancellation or reforms undertaken in the program can be confirmed..
Återköpsmotiv : En studie av svenska börsbolag
Återköp har varit tillåtet fullt ut i Sverige under fem år. Då det enligt vår kännedom inte har publicerats någon undersökning av vilka faktorer som motiverat företagen att företa återköp under den period det varit tillåtet har vi ansett det angeläget att uppmärksamma detta område. Vi har således undersökt om ett antal motiv till återköp belagda i utländska undersökningar kan förklara återköpen som gjorts av de svenska börsnoterade företagen. De olika motiven är förekomsten av överskottskapital, undervärdering, en icke optimal kapitalstruktur och ledningsoptioner. Undersökningen har vi genomfört med hjälp av en regression och en medelvärdesjämförelse.

The aim of this study is to look how the Social Service has handled custody issues. The study has a legal and social aspect with a purpose to investigate how the law affects the social administration as well as the family. During a period of one year a quantitative and qualitative study was performed within the social administration in a nearby community. The study focus is partly on the relationship between the law, family and society. The main questions have been: Which one of the parents, mother or father, did in fact get the custody and why? How has the children?s point of view been reported in the inquiry? A child needs a well organized everyday life in a preferably conflict free environment.
Från etik till ekonomi?: En analys av förändringar i svensk klimatpolicy 1990-2008
This study analyzes how the Swedish climate policy has changed during the years 1990-2008. Thisis done through a comparative analysis of three climate bills that were developed during this period.With a constructivist approach, and theories about discursive indicators and discursive fields,discursive changes in the bills' content are identified. The results show that changes have occurredin how the problem is described, how the issue is framed, which problem solutions that areadvocated, which legitimizing arguments and key concepts that are used and the extent of theknowledge that the bills are based upon. The conclusions drawn from the results describe adiscursive change between the bills in the form of a shift from a discourse that in a greater extentadvocates active policy responses, based on ethical arguments about fairness towards othercountries and caution towards the environment, to a discourse that more often favor market actionsbased on arguments about the economic viability of Sweden..

Detta examensarbete behandlar slamhanteringen på Sibbhults avloppsreningsverk (Sarv).I denna rapport tas det upp hur avvattningen och förtjockningen av slammet går till i dagsläget och vilka förändringar som kan göras för att förbättra dessa processer.Här visas även vilka eventuella vinster som kan fås med förändringar och eventuella investeringar i en avvattningsapplikation. Redan med små medel kan förtjockningen av slammet förändras, även om det inte införskaffas en mekanisk avvattnare, som t ex med inblandning av polymerer i avloppsvattnet.För att finna olika fungerande alternativ har information insamlats från flera företag som tillhandahåller applikationer för slamavvattnare. Information har även införskaffats genom egen erfarenhet under min verksamhetsförlagda utbildnings (VFU) period på SArv, och vid diskussion med personal som arbetar vid vatten- och avloppsreningsverken i Östra Göinge kommun..
Methane production from dairy cows : relations between enteric production and production from faeces and urine
Methane (CH4) is a greenhouse gas (GHG) that contributes to the global warming. One of the largest sources of methane is livestock, preferably ruminants which alone counted for 30% of the total agricultural anthropogenic methane emissions in the year of 2000. The reason to why ruminants are such large contributors of methane are that the gas is produced in the rumen by enteric formation and leaves the animals by belching, exhaling or by the excreta.Diets high in concentrates can result in a lower emission of methane. Also diets with a high content of starch, such as alfalfa-grass, have a methane-decreasing. It is profitable to reduce enteric methane formation since that form of methane is unavoidably lost.

This study is primarily an account of my examination work in archival science which took place in the archive of Margareta Böttiger, the state epidemiologist at the Swedish Institute for Communicable Disease Control Stockholm. The records are from Böttigers period of work, mainly divided into three parts, polio, HIVS/AIDS and vaccination. Of these I have focused on polio with was the area she got renowned for. Moreover, owing to the uniqueness of the material this study has focused on the properties of the archive as a working-life archive which I propose as a special type of personal archive with unique attributes. To summarize, a working-life archive has in comparison with other personal archives a more fluid process of archiving where the profession is important, not the personal production of records.

Syfte: Att ur anestesisjuksköterskans perspektiv beskriva övergången mellan anestesi och den tidiga postoperativa fasen. Bakgrund: Anestesisjuksköterskan har befogenhet att inducera, underhålla och självständigt avsluta anestesier i samråd med anestesiolog. Under anestesins avslutande sker en övergång till en tidig postoperativ fas där patienten återfår medvetandet, återhämtar fullgod motorik och luftvägarnas vitala skyddsreflexer. Vissa riskmoment finns sedan tidigare väl definierade även om forskning avseende tidsperioden är begränsad. Anestesisjuksköterskan finns hela tiden närvarande vid patientens sida och har därför en unik möjlighet att beskriva denna övergång. Design: Studien har en deskriptiv design med kvalitativ ansats. Metod: Femton strategiskt utvalda anestesisjuksköterskor från tre sjukhus i Mellansverige intervjuades.
