Background: A group severely affected by health issues, the experiences of homeless alcohol and drug abusers in the coverage of their medical care needs is not satisfactory. Aim: The aim of the study is to explore which factors experienced by homeless alcohol and drug abusers in Uppsala in regards to their living situation affected their health, their perception of access to healthcare, the character of treatment received and coping strategies used outside of the healthcare system. Method: Nine people who had experienced both homelessness and substance abuse problem were recruited for the study during their visit to Stadsmissionens facilities for the homeless. Data was collected through qualitative, semi-structured interviews including two women and seven men. Data was analyzed using qualitative content analysis according to Giorgi modified by Malterud.Results: Among homeless substance abusers interviewed experiences of unwelcoming and prejudiced healthcare were described.

The aim of this study was to understand how social workers perceive and understand violence and threats of violence from clients, and how it effect their working environment. It seems that the respondents understand the violence and threats of violence from clients as a result of the clients background problems, Vulnerability, dependency and from ?the reason" that the client is currently in the contact with the organization. How respondents interpret the client´s behaviour based on the above-mentioned factors, seem to determine how the respondents perceive and define the violence and threats of violence by clients directed against them. Interestingly enough, although all respondents in the study experienced violence and threats of violence from clients, none of them perceived themselves as exposed at work. The answer to this is consensual.

Several studies has identified the locker room experience as a potential deterrent for participation in physical education. Both psychological and physical issues arise due to several factors. Psychological issues include different kinds of verbal and physical violations, comparisons between pupils, feeling of Vulnerability along with a stressful schedule. The physical environment can contribute to negative experience for pupils in terms of filthy premises and cold showers. These factors may contribute to higher absentee rates in physical education.

Following essay examines the social and cultural patterns of southern rural Sweden between the years 1838-1845. The study is based on records from trials held by the district court of the district Norra Möre, which provides an insight to the everyday life in rural local community. Emphasis is put on exclusion and inclusion: the basis for community, codes for inclusion and exclusion, meaningful attributes, social and cultural capital etc. Questions concerning gender are raised as well as intents to discover whether modern ideas contrast early-modern, especially considering the process of individualization. Results show that concepts of confidence and trust were extremely valuable and possessed significant meanings.  Confidence, which established itself on virtuous and honest life, created the framework for most aspects of social society: for example credibility inside and outside of court, maintenance of friendship and company, capacity of upholding a working life. Forfeit of trust, through extensive dissolute, mischievous and ill-considered way of life meant exclusion from the community and great Vulnerability.

Bakgrund: Ett stort ansvar vilar på sjuksköterskan, inte minst ansvaret att ta hand om sig själv för att kunna utföra en god och säker omvårdnad med den individuella patienten i fokus, speciellt när det gäller vård i livets slutskede. Tidigare forskning visar att det är emotionellt krävande att arbeta med människor som snart ska dö och att sjuksköterskan behöver emotionell kraft för att klara av detta svåra arbete.Syfte: Syftet var att belysa faktorer som sjuksköterskan upplever ger kraft för att emotionellt klara av att vårda patienter i livets slutskede.Metod: Analys av redan färdigställda kvalitativa originalartiklars resultatdata till en syntetiserande sammanställning över det området som valts att belysas vilket resulterade i tre teman med underteman.Resultat: Själva arbetet i sig, att få kraft av att vårda patienter i livets slutskede, gav sjuksköterskorna kraft vilket framkom som att trivas med sitt jobb, att känna tacksamhet och starkt engagemang samt att få möjlighet till lärande, utveckling och känslomässig kompetens. Vidare återfanns att hämta kraft i sociala relationer samt att få kraft av att ha balans som viktigt för att sjuksköterskorna skulle klara av att vårda patienter i livets slutskede. Sjuksköterskorna fick balans genom att ta hand om sig själv och genom att sätta gränser.Diskussion: Både positiva och negativa upplevelser kan ge sjuksköterskan kraft och det finns flera kraftkällor som sjuksköterskan använder sig av men dessa kan inte användas var och en för sig utan måste ses i ett sammanhang..

ABSTRACT Poverty, and in particular child poverty, is a serious social problem. Statistics show that the number of children living in poverty has increased over the last ten years. Earlier research shows that there are huge gaps in our knowledge of how the actors in civil society handle child poverty. With this study we hope to help fill this gap. The aim of our study is to look at how four different organisations working in the civil society in Uppsala perceive and handle child poverty.

Introduction: All women can be subjected to intimate personal violence by theirpartner, but the older woman's Vulnerability to violence is not highlighted in research.Consequences of violence can be severe and it is essential from a public healthperspective to explore the issue even for the older woman. Objective: The objective ofthe study was to generate a deeper understanding of the problems of older woman'sVulnerability to violence by their spouse / partner.
