The present BA thesis is an analysis and a close reading of the French author Gabrielle Wittkop's novel Le Nécrophile (1972). The analysis consists of two parts. The first part focuses on the story and can be described as an attempt to interpret the engine of the history. The second part of the analysis focuses on the narrative; how the story is told. Le Nécrophiles main motif is re-encoding the representation of death in art and literature, traditionally conceived as a beautiful female corpse.

Detta för att skapa en samlad helhetsbild av nyckelordsprocessen och beskriva de olika kategorierna av nyckelord så att detta finns dokumenterat på ett och samma ställe. I den andra delen av uppsatsen beskrivs en empirisk studie som gjorts för att få reda på om andra manuella metoder än den traditionella brainstormingen kan användas för att ta fram passande nyck-elord till en webbsida. De testade metoderna är slumpordsassociation, negativ idégenerering och 6-3-5. Även brainstorming testades för att jämföras med de andra tre metoderna.

This report is the result of a thesis as been implemented during the spring term 2009 atthe University of Gävle.The company Bruks produces mobile chippers which are used for chipping loggingslash, roundwood and parts of trees. The chipper is powered by a separate diesel engineand the chipper can be assembled on trucks, trailers or some other carrier vehicles.When the chip has passed the chipper drum, the chip is collected in an integrated binwhich is mounted on the vehicles frame with dumping yokes. When these dumpingyokes were designed they were probably created with large material dimensions. Theaim with the degree project is hence to study the strengths of materials and, if possible,to suggest an arrangement that can decrease the total weight on the dumping yoke onBruks´ mobile chippers 805 CT.The CAD-program Pro/ENGINEER was used during the project for outlining the 2Ddrawings,as distributed of constructors on Bruks, to solid 3D-parts. The three-dimensionalassembly from Pro/ENGINEER was transferred to Pro/MECHANICA.

The aim of this thesis was to investigate if the robotized welding method FSW (Friction Stir Welding) could be applied for joining a rotating structure in an aero engine at Volvo Aero Corporation. FSW is expected to introduce less defects than today?s welding methods and could therefore be suitable for critical aero components. The material is the nickel based alloy Inconel 718, however a material experimentation is outside the scope of this report.The main goal of this study is to verify if the ESAB ROSIO robot based FSW-system has a suitable work space to be able to weld the rotating structure, and if the welding tool has accessibility to the joints. The FSW-process needs a rigid fixture, and a number of fix-ture concepts are presented based on a proposed weld sequence.

The aim of this master thesis was to examine the European Commission's information resources from a user perspective in order to clarify the needs and circumstances of the search of EU-information among students at Örebro University. 41 students participated in a survey, and four of them was interviewed. On the basis of Pendelton- and Chatmans theories of information behaviour in small worlds, it were assumed that the students' education and citizenship in the European Union affected their needs and the search of EU information.The study showed that the students needs for EU-related information has increased, with the current education, but also been linked to earlier educations. The students Citizens need were mainly associated with elections such as the EMU-election, but also in some cases to a need of the general knowledge.A review of the European Commission's information resources were made with an emphasis on European Documentation Centre, EDC. The survey showed that most students used the EDC and the EU-databases that was made available by the European Commission through the EDC and the university library but were not aware that they used EDC.The survey also showed that students made use of familiar sources and resources when they searched the EU-information, such as the library's regular database list, the library catalogue and search engine on the internet are not requested of other resources.

I have chosen to work with drag hose system and try to find an alternative to spread manure with a usually tank system, see if you can make a profit and what advantage and disadvantage the system has. The purpose whith the project has been to try to make a system that can spread manure at better occasions than farmers do today and above everything make a financial addition. Today it is just a heavy work and takes a lot of time. I have counted on investment costs and carefully examined what equipment you need. I have not the technical details in my project, I have just tried to understand how it is to spread manure with drag hose system today. What is drag hose system? You put a hose in your manuretank, connect it to a pump that is driven by a traktor or stationary engine. You place a hose that reach the field were you are going to spread.

En fallstudie tillämpades för att undersöka de inbyggda apparna, Internet Explorer 10, den nya utforskaren File Explorer och reparationsverktyget ?Återställ datorn utan att ta bort filer? i Windows 8. Analysen visade att apparna E-post, Kontakter och Meddelanden sparade större delar av användarens Facebook-profil lokalt på datorns hårddisk. När bildfiler öppnades upp med appen Foton sparades miniatyrbilder av originalet på hårddisken. När videofiler spelades upp med appen Video sparades filnamnet i filer.

This aim of this thesis is to measure the effect of the user interface in real searches on the Internet through a small experiment. Theories on web and search usability and psychological factors concerning usability were first explored. Then three interfaces were constructed, one "good" that followed usability guidelines and had multiple search functions, one "bad" that completely disobeyed those guidelines and had only a simple and small search field, and one "intermediate" interface that was a mix of the two. The search field was set to different sizes, with the shortest in the "bad" interface, a medium field in the "intermediate" interface and several long fields in the "good" interface. All three interfaces were then attached to the same web search engine, Altavista.

MobisleApps vill erbjuda ytterligare möjligheter för användarna att skriva anteckningarna och har bestämt sig för göra detta med hjälp av en webbläsare och ett gränssnitt mot den externa servern.Detta examensarbete syftar till att ta fram ett sådant webbgränssnitt och att undersöka om detgår att använda något ur de nya standarderna för Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) och Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).Genom att utveckla ett webbgränssnitt som ger användaren möjlighet att logga in, skapa, ändra och ta bort anteckningar som synkroniseras till telefonen via en extern server har jag uppfyllt de krav som ställdes.Slutsatsen av rapporten är att det är möjligt att använda en del nya HTML5 och CSS3 funktionalitet och egenskaper. Detta om det görs för att förstärka webbgränssnittets funktionalitet och utseende medan man inte förlitar sig på att alla användare kommer att ha en uppdaterad webbläsare.  AbstractMedia has since a long time back been writing about extensive thievery of recreational boats and their engines. The value of the stolen goods is estimated to several hundreds of million Swedish crowns per year. The widespread stealing creates a secondary market where boats sometimes are sold by sellers that do not have the rights to sell the boat. This creates risk for the buyer who most often is a private person. A situation the buyer can face is that the boat was stolen and that the original owner can demand to get the boat or engine back.

Examensarbetet är utfört på Volvo Aero Corporation i Trollhättan, på divisionen Engine Services avdelning Affär, Teknik och Kundstöd. Enginge Services är ett av världens största underhålls- och servicecenter för flygmotorer och gasturbiner. De underhåll som utförs innefattar olika nivåer av service, allt från lättare detaljreparationer till kompletta motoröversyner. När offerter ska tas fram i samband med nya underhållskontrakt saknas idag ett verktyg för att analysera data från tidigare utförda arbeten och det upplevs som ett problem. Syftet med examensarbetet är att bygga en databas som ska användas i offertarbetet samt att studera vilken nytta databasen kan medföra.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine the retrieval performance of two search engines, Yahoo! News and Sesam, specialized on indexing news articles in Swedish. Thirty search questions were used in this study, divided into three different categories: domestic news, amusement and sport. Precision has been calculated both for the 30 search questions as a total and for the three categories as well. Precision was calculated at every DCV-level and then divided with the number of search questions used, in an attempt to reach an average measure.

Denna rapport behandlar utvecklingen av den spelmotor samt spellogik som används i speletSteam Tale utvecklat under projektnamnet Project Steam Age av gruppen StormBound. Speletutvecklades i första hand för mobila enheter, och i rapporten ingår även en kort undersökningav mobila spel i ett historiskt perspektiv. Även spelets genre, JRPG, en förkortning avJapanese Role Playing Game, kommer att förklaras som hastigast med referenser till andraspel inom genren.Spelet programmerades för Android OS version 2.3 och framåt i språket Java. En avsvårigheterna som påträffades, såsom beskrivs i rapporten, var att säkerställa att speletfungerar för den varierande prestanda som mobila enheter utgör, inklusive aspekter såsommed eller utan hårdvaruacceleration av grafik, varierande mängd lagringsutrymme ochprocessorkärnor samt storlek på skärmar. Därtill bör man vid skapandet av en applikation avdenna typ beakta resurshantering, framförallt beträffande grafik och ljud, ett ämne sombehandlas i denna rapport..

Syftet med undersökningen var att försöka definiera vad sjömanseleverna i årskurs 2 och 3 på gymnasiet hade för framtidsplaner när det gällde fortsatt arbete till sjöss som matros, motorman. Dessutom undersöktes hur många som planerade att läsa vidare till sjökapten eller sjöingenjör, samt hur stort intresset av att söka arbete utomlands var bland eleverna. Undersökningen byggde på en kvantitativ metod där resultatet baserades på enkätsvar från fyra olika skolor och totalt 114 svarande elever. Intresset för att fortsätta arbeta som matros var något större än att arbeta som motorman. Majoriteten av de tillfrågade eleverna planerade vidare studier medan endast ett fåtal av de tillfrågade planerade att enbart fortsätta arbeta som matros och motorman.
