Coordinator of public health has recently become a new profession in the field of Health Promotion. During the last few years the pedagogic perspective has been increasingly important for the coordinators as a way of adapting their work methods to the circumstances. The conditions for coordinators of public health differ between municipalities and thus their tasks and responsibilities may vary with the local structure. According to the literature there are several ways to conduct Health Promotion and it is in the hands of the coordinator to adjust the methods to fit local conditions. The purpose of the study was to examine what influences the coordinators of public health and how that affects their work methods.

Scania är en av världens ledande tillverkare av lastbilar och bussar för tunga transporter samt industri- och marinmotorer. Efter lansering av den nya lastbilsserien under 2004 som utnämndes till ?Truck of the year 2005? så tittar hyttutvecklingsgruppen framåt på nya projekt. Ett område inom hyttinredning som man vill fördjupa sig i är dörrpanelen. Med dörrpanel menas den del av inredningen som sitter på dörrens insida och normalt sett innehåller öppnings- och stängningshandtag, fönstervevar/elhissar, förvaringsfack etc.

The aim of this thesis was to investigate if the robotized welding method FSW (Friction Stir Welding) could be applied for joining a rotating structure in an aero engine at Volvo Aero Corporation. FSW is expected to introduce less defects than today?s welding methods and could therefore be suitable for critical aero components. The material is the nickel based alloy Inconel 718, however a material experimentation is outside the scope of this report.The main goal of this study is to verify if the ESAB ROSIO robot based FSW-system has a suitable work space to be able to weld the rotating structure, and if the welding tool has accessibility to the joints. The FSW-process needs a rigid fixture, and a number of fix-ture concepts are presented based on a proposed weld sequence.

This thesis work resulted in a template for how the thermal spray process can be controlled through robot programs. The robots today and their programs need to be replaced, therefore a new structure which can be matched with the new robot systems is needed. The work is limited to only concern structured programming on the new robots on Thermal Spray Centre (TC) with the programming language Rapid. The basic data for the program was retrieved from interviews with concerned personnel at TC, from studies on process parameters for thermal spray and from existing specifications at Volvo Aero Corporation (VAC). The thesis work briefly describes the process thermal spray and the four methods used at VAC.

Former studies have shown that a considerable part of industries? energy usage can stem from idle times in the production. This thesis, carried out at Siemens Industry sector, evaluates the potential for using the control system to automatically put machines into energy saving mode during idle times. The main part of the thesis consists of a case study performed on machine tools at a Scania production site in Södertälje. Through load measurements the potential for energy savings was determined.The results show that there is a great potential for energy savings during idle times at the site.

SammanfattningI dagens miljöfokuserade samhälle ställs det allt högre krav på den tunga fordonsindustrin varvid den gällande miljölagstiftningen skärpts i flera steg de senaste åren. Scania tillverkar tyngre fordon och motorer som alla måste följa de kommande utsläppskraven. Detta innebär att motorernas utsläpp måste reduceras varför avancerade efterbehandlingssystem har införts i ljuddämparen. En metod för att rena avgaserna från kväveoxider är SCR-teknologi (Selective Catalytic Reduction). Denna teknik bygger på att en urealösning sprutas in i avgasflödet.

Detta examensarbete utfördes som ett tvärfunktionellt projekt mellan Scanias motorutveckling och motormontering i Södertälje under sommaren och hösten 2007. Arbetet var mestadels förlagt till Scanias motormontering, by 150. Examensarbetet utgör den avslutande delen av civilingenjörsutbildningen i maskinteknik, inriktning maskinkonstruktion vid Luleå tekniska universitet. Projektet behandlar ritningskrav på täthet för gjutgods och metoder för att kontrollera tätkraven. Läckage är förutom prestanda den dominerande anledningen till att ca 10% av Scanias motorer inte godkänns efter provkörning i samband med monteringen.

This thesis work is the last part of the Master of Science education inmechanical engineering at KTH, Stockholm.The aim of this project was the development of a Multi-zone modelfor NOxformation in Diesel engines. Because of the stringent emissionlegislations, great effort is made to decrease the fuel consumption and theharmful emissions of internal combustion engines. Computer simulationsplay a decisive role in this context because they substitute the expensiveand time-consuming laboratory tests.The model is based on a multi-zone approach and uses the wellknownExtended Zeldovich Mechanism which gives a relation to calculatethe NO formation rate using the concentration of different gas speciesinvolved in the process.All the most important phenomena involved in the Diesel combustionhave been modelled. A special attention is then paid to the equilibriumconcentration calculation; this is a significant part of the model whichstrongly influences the following steps.A Simulink model has also been developed. This second version isbased on the previous model and it is made especially to allow theconnection with other external softwares, GT-power in this case.

I takt med att fler motortyper skapas och att kraven på dessa motorer ökar i och med hårdare lagkrav på emissioner så ökar också gruppernas arbetsbelastning. Mycket av arbetet hamnar på grupperna med kalibreringsansvar då det är parametrarna som dessa grupper kalibrerar som delvis styr hur mycket emissioner som släpps ut. Fokus i denna rapport ligger på en delav de grupper som är inblandade i den granskning som sker av parametrarna som kalibreras. Examensarbetet är uppfört eftersom vissa problem med granskningsprocessen har identifierats. Dessa problem grundar sig i bristande kommunikation och kvalitet och mer detaljerat i försenade leveranser och förändringar av parametervärden.

Inom vårdområdet hanteras en stor mängd känslig information och den bör finnas tillgänglig utan organisatoriska hinder. Många vårdanställda får snabbare och enklare tillgång till information genom informationsteknik (IT), men IT ställer även nya krav på medvetandet om informationssäkerhet.Den i detta arbete studerade litteraturen menar att användarna är den största orsaken till att brister uppkommer i informationssäkerheten. Det kan bland annat förebyggas genom upprättande av informationssäkerhetspolicy samt genom att ge information till och utbilda användaren vid införande av informationssystem.Syftet med arbetet var att fastställa hur användare av datorjournaler påverkas av kraven på informationssäkerhet och hur användarna påverkar informationssäkerheten. Vidare var syftet att ta reda på om de rekommendationer som Datainspektionen gett ut efterföljs av användarna. Observationer och intervjuer med vårdpersonal har legat till grund för att uppnå arbetets resultat.

SammanfattningDenna rapport behandlar temat resurseffektivisering med avsikt att finna effektiviseringar kring tillverkningsprocessen vid gjutning av motorblock. Aspekter vi valt att fokusera på är gjutmetoder, materialval och flöden. För att kunna undersöka detta har teori hämtats från redan existerande litteratur samtidigt som en fallstudie gjorts mot Scanias gjuteri. Vid studierna av tillverkningsmetoder har sandgjutning, precisionsgjutning, gravitationsgjutning och pressgjutning undersökts. Gravitationsgjutning är den metod som används av Scania och därför används denna som referensmetod när jämförelser ska göras.

Det här examensarbetet har genomförts på Ferruform, Luleå, som är ett dotterbolag till Scania. Här produceras bakaxelbryggor, tvär- och sidobalkar samt stötfångare till lastbilar och bussar. I dagsläget finns ett flöde för bakaxelbryggor med navreduktion som inte stämmer överens med huvudflödet av bakaxelbryggor vilket skapar extra hantering och problem vid produktionsplanering. Inom de närmsta åren ska dessutom kapaciteten ökas och artiklarna i flödet ersättas av nya. Målet med examensarbetet har varit att ta fram ett förslag på ett enhetligt flöde som är anpassningsbart till de ökande volymerna och de nya artiklarna.

Av 45 kontaktade företag var det endast två som var villiga att ställa upp på en intervju. Trots att resultatet av intervjuerna inte går att generalisera på grund av att det är för litet underlag för att få någon mättnad, är det ändå intressant att få en inblick i hur tvåföretag upplever och resonerar kring produktplacering. De två företagen hade olika motiv till att produktplacera - öka varumärkeskännedomen eller förbättra image - men båda var nöjda med resultatet av placeringen.

The web is a constantly growing medium that presumably plays an increasing role in public library reference services. In order to provide high quality reference service the librarians need to be able to master this medium. Therefore it is interesting to get an understanding of how librarians actually use the web. The aim of this Master s thesis is to investigate what web search tools are used by public librarians in reference service. Furthermore, the aim is to get an understanding of how the librarians think about those tools and what background factors influence their selection of tools.
