Empati har länge ansetts vara en god egenskap hos en medmänniska. Det definierats enligt Davis, som individers affektiva och fysiologiska reaktioner avseende någon annans fysiska och psykiska tillstånd. Tidigare forskning har visat att det finns skillnader avseende empati hos individer beroende på olika faktorer. Huvudsyftet med studien var att se om kön, ålder, arbetsplats, antal år inom yrket samt föräldraskap påverkade kriminalvårdares empati. Deltagarna var kriminalvårdare (N = 90) som arbetade på en anstalt och ett häkte.

This paper?s objective is to investigate whether Modigliani and Miller (MM) I & II proposition from 1958 with regard to capital structure, is still valid among public Swedish firms.We have chosen the 63 firms on the Stockholm Stock Exchange (OMX) that Affärsvärlden magazine?s general index (AFGX) has categorized as industrial firms. We based this selection on the assumption that these firms are relatively capital intense and have a clear focus on production and, therefore, mainly uses capital structure as a mean to finance their production and not as a means in itself.To be able to fully evaluate these firms we have calculated the current key ratios based each firm?s annual report. To make the figures comparable across the entire population we adjusted them to each firm?s turnover.The results we have reached concur with MM?s proposition I regarding capital structures independence of the firm value.

This essay investigates and compares the readability in two different schoolbooks: Eko Historia (the primary school grade 4-6) and Epos Historia (the upper secondary school). The questions of the survey are:- Which differences in linguistic and layout can be found between books meant for the primary school and books meant for the upper secondary school?- Are the texts easy to read according to the former research in readability?In order to answer the questions structural dimensions as lexicon, syntax, bounds between sentences and narrative voices have been studied. Also the texts disposition and typography have been examined.The results demonstrate that the book designed for the primary school has a verbal structure with an explicit vocabulary, lots of verbs and short sentences. A clear narrative voice gives an impression of spoken language.

Denna undersökningen är ett försök att se hur mycket av ämnesundervisning, kursplan och kursmål som kan rymmas inom serietecknande som (undervisnings) metod. Genom att knyta an till elevers egen kulturkonsumtion hoppas jag kunna knyta an ny kunskap till det eleven redan är bekant med. Serier blir då här som en brygga mellan det de redan vet och det de ska lära. Arbetet genomförs genom undervisningsförsök som vetenskaplig metod och genom diskursanalys av seriemediet. Jag tycker mig se genom detta arbete att man ur det seriemassiga, serierna i sig och serierelaterat innehåll i allmänhet, kan skapa en pedagogisk metod för bildämnet.Detta är ett s.k.

The purpose of this essay was to study whether the UN convention on the Rights of the child is implemented in the Swedish executory authority, in cases that include compulsory auction of property belonging to families with children, in the southern area of Sweden. I have especially focused on questions concerning whether civil servants work with child consequence analyses, whether they have been offered education in child competence at work, to what extent they have listened to and taken into account the child's own voice in the execution process, and finally to what extent civil servants have had contact with the social welfare committee.The study was based on qualitative telephone interviews with seven civil servants working with cases that comprise compulsory auction of property belonging to families with children.The conclusions of my study are that there exists no specific child perspective regarding the UN convention on the Rights of the child in the civil servants work regarding compulsory auction of property belonging to families with children. Neither do they work with child consequence analyses nor do they listen to what the child has to say in the execution process. The civil servants have not been offered any kind of education concerning child competence. Regarding contacts with the social welfare committee, the result shows that this is, in general, not based on systematic procedures..

Syftet med studien är att öka kunskapen om män som har en impulsiv aggressivitet riktad mot sin partner, och om männens brister i affektmedvetenhet (alexitymi) samt deras förmåga till empati och om de skiljer sig i dessa aspekter från män som söker hjälp för relationsproblem på Manscentrum. 20 män med våldsamt beteende och 20 med relationsproblem fyllde i Aggression Questionnaire-Revised Swedish Version (AQ-RSV), Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20) och Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI). Resultaten visade ett positivt samband mellan aggressivitet och alexitymi i hela populationen och ett negativt samband mellan alexitymi och empati. De våldsamma männen var också aggressivare enligt AQ-RSV än de med relationsproblem, men inga andra skillnader var signifikanta. De män som hade erfarenhet av våld i ursprungsfamiljen hade ett starkare samband när det gäller aggressivitet och alexitymi.

Many new electronic publication systems have arisen in the past few years, one of them is the weblog. In 1999 there were 23 weblogs, today there are millions thus a need for organisation has appeared, both special metadata and subject indexes have been invented and created. Due to the large amount of the latter we have in this thesis decided to concentrate on those close by the Scandinavian weblogindexes. A more international perspective would however have been possible, as very little is written on the topic.  I uppsatsen undersöks effektiviteten av de tre nordiska aktieindexterminerna OMXS30, OBX och OMXC20 vars underliggande index representerar den svenska, norska respektive den danska aktiemarknaden. Analysen baseras på den svaga formen av den effektiva marknadshypotesen och den närbesläktade random walk hypotesen. Aktieindexterminerna undersöks under perioden januari 1997 till december 2008 samt under perioder då den nordiska marknaden karaktäriseras av bull och bear perioder. Testresultaten av Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) samt Kwiatkowski, Phillips, Schmidt och Shin (KPSS) testet tyder på att aktieindexterminerna följer en random walk och att nordiska aktieindexterminer är effektiva under den undersökta perioden. Då testen utförs för de kortare bull och bear perioderna erhålls motsägelsefulla resultat vilket medför att slutsatser om huruvida aktieindexterminerna är effektiva under dessa perioder ej kan dras. .

Vårt syfte med detta arbete är att se om vi kan finna faktorer som skiljer lönsamma företag som går bra på Stockholmsbörsen från lönsamma företag som inte går bra. Med hjälp av dessa faktorer ska man förhoppningsvis kunna göra företagsvärderingar som i sin tur leder till placeringar som går bättre än index över Metod: Uppsatsen bygger på en kvalitativ studie av bolag noterade på Stockholmsbörsen. Angreppssättet är av induktiv karaktär där vi försöker upptäcka mönster i det material vi studerar. Slutsatser: Vi ville besvara frågeställningen; vad skiljer lönsamma företag som går bra på börsen från dem som inte gör det? The market risk premium is one of the most important parameters in finance. Its value and the ways to calculate a risk premium for the market is a widely debated subject. This thesis examines numerous ways of calculating a risk premium for the Swedish market with regard to how good an estimation they make of a real risk premium. Estimations based on historical periods ranging from 20 to 85 years is calculated as well as a premium based on forward-looking estimates. The real risk premium is solved out for a selection of companies and an index with the help of CAPM.

Den äldre ska efter att ha fått sitt biståndsbeslut välja vilken utförare som ska tillhandahålla den beviljade insatsen. Valfrihetssystem blir allt vanligare i samhället och valfrihet i sig har länge varit ett politiskt mål. Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka äldre personers erfarenheter av att välja hemtjänst. Frågor som har tagits upp är hur man väljer, vad som påverkar hur man väljer, om valet anses vara lätt och om man generellt är nöjd med det system som finns.

How a speaker can use their posture, gesture, facial expression and voice to create a strong ethos, pistis and sense of trustworthiness is, in this paper, associated with charisma (the power of leadership or authority).Verbal and nonverbal expressions from three particular speeches by Martin Luther King, John F Kennedy and Bill Clinton have been analyzed in depth. The results show that patos as well as strong nonverbal expression are factors in inspiring devotion or creating enthusiasm. Personal magnetism and radiance is also found to develop through figures of speech and rhetorical devices, including metaphors. Results show that facial expressions, pitch and other prosodic information are not always consciously taken in. Nevertheless, it is questioned whether such information can affect the ethos and pistis developed.

Repetition of Non- word (make- up word that has not some semantic content) has been proposed as a reliable index of phonological memory in children with language impairment (LI). The aim of this study was to find out the possible similarities and differences concerning phonotactic non-words and working memory in 18 bilingual Swedish-Arabic children with and without LI ages 4-6 years. The investigation was undertaken by conducting three tests including NEPSY, WPPSI-III and a Word repetition test. The results showed that there are not significant differences between the two groups regarding various parts of NEPSY. On the other hand the results showed two significant differences in WPPSI-III regarding Picture categories and Word repetition tests for Swedish Non-word.
