Syftet med studien är att undersöka om och hur visuell gestaltning kan användas för att konkretisera, levandegöra och skapa sammanhang och mening i matematik.Utifrån ovanstående syfte har följande forskningsfråga formulerats:Hur beskriver en grupp lärarstudenter sitt lärande och sin förståelse för matematik när de arbetar med matematik genom tredimensionell gestaltning?I studien används en kvalitativ metod med en etnografiskt orienterad studie av ämnesövergripande arbete med laborationer i bils och matematik. Syftet med studien var att utvärdera patientens upplevelse av den postoperativa smärtan och behandlingen av denna när den perifera nervblockadens effekt avtagit efter operation av distal radiusfraktur. Metoden som använts är en empirisk kvantitativ deskriptiv enkätstudie. Tjugo patienter deltog i denna pilotstudie. Demografin stämde väl överens med de statistiska data, som visar att distrala radiusfrakturer är vanligt förekommande hos kvinnor i åldern 55 år och äldre. Resultatet av studien har påvisat att många patienter har upplevt mer smärta än vad de själva varit beredda på.

Problembakgrund: Det har visat sig att intresset för miljöproblemen har minskat och ämnet måste kommuniceras för att en större förändring ska kunna ske. Medierna och miljöorganisationerna har en viktig roll i kommunikationen av miljöproblem. Därför är det intressant att undersöka hur kommunikationen ser ut från en miljöorganisations sida.Syfte: Syftet med den här studien är att undersöka vad Naturskyddsföreningen har för huvudsakliga budskap i sina kampanjfilmer för att öka förståelsen hos människor.Metod: I denna studie tillämpas den kvalitativa metoden kritisk diskursanalys.Teori: De teorier som undersökningen bygger på är kommunikationsteori, diskursteori, retorik samt visuell kommunikation.Slutsats: Utifrån de resultat vi fått fram genom vår analys kan vi urskiljatvå huvudsakliga budskap i Naturskyddsföreningenskampanjfilmer vilka är miljö och hälsa. Inom dessa budskapanvänder de sig av argument på både lokal och global nivå. Vihar i denna studie även kunnat titta på vilka retoriska ochvisuella redskap som använts.Naturskyddsföreningen.

Volvo Human Monitoring (VHM) är ett pågående projekt på Volvo Personvagnar där dem bland annat mäter in- och utandning genom en mätutrustning, kallad respiratorisk induktans pletysmograf (RIP), som mäter förändringar av tvärsnittsarean av bröstkorg och buk. När föraren är i rörelse till exempel när hon svänger ändras tvärsnittsarean och en ?störning? i RIP-signalen kan uppkomma.Dessa störningar medför att vid analys av RIP-signalen måste stora manuella justeringar utföras, vilket är mycket tidskrävande, och utrustningens validitet för mätning av in- och utandning ifrågasätts.Syftet med denna studie var att effektivisera analysen av en RIP-signal som registrerats vid bilkörning. Målsättningen var att skapa ett nytt databearbetningsverktyg i Matlab som på ett automatiskt sätt kan detektera in- och utandning från en RIP-signal med högre validitet än det existerande databearbetningsverktyget.I studien utfördes tester på nio förare under bilkörning på landsväg, grusväg, motorväg och i stadstrafik. In- och utandning mättes med en RIP, en pneumotakograf med en tätt sluten ansiktsmask och ett termoelement som var placerad mellan näsa och mun som referensutrustning.Resultatet blev ett databearbetningsverktyg som automatiskt detekterar in- och utandning med högre validitet än det tidigare internutvecklade databearbetningsverktyg.
