Ett designprojekt med fokus på för tidigt födda barns emotionella behov i kuvös

Babies born prematurely are deprived of normal sensorimotor stimulation when placed in an artificial environment, the incubator. The aim of this project was to design a series of products that could promote the baby?s emotional and neurological development, and to facilitate parental bonding. The products designed in this project has a theoretical basis on the research available today on cognitive and emotional development in children born prematurely. They were developed in close cooperation with a group of parents and nurses in a neonatal intensive care unit.Presence is a product collection for developmental care, consisting of a mattress, a figure and a necklace. The mattress has vibration sensors that transfer the mother?s heart beat and speakers with recorded heartbeat and her voice.

To avoid similarity and increase competitive advantages modern companies have to be more specified. The competition between companies has increased and customers are harder to reach. Customers of today can afford luxury but trend indicates that originality, identity, and status are more important than factual needs. Products created and consumed at the same time within the service market are often very homogenous (similar).

Preoperativ information till patienter

Information är en viktig del av sjuksköterskans arbete och hennes pedagogiska roll sätts här på prov. En operation är en stor händelse i en patients liv och det är välkänt att patienter ofta är missnöjda med den information de får. Syftet med denna uppsats var att få fördjupad kunskap om vilken information patienter vill ha inför en operation och hur de upplever den information de får. Detta har gjorts genom en litteraturstudie där vetenskapliga artiklar i ämnet sökts och kritiskt granskats. Därefter sammanställdes resultaten av tolv slutligen valda artiklar till ett gemensamt resultat.

Design, konstruktion och test av LED-spektrometer

A LED spectrometer has been constructed for qualitative spectrometry using certain wavelenghts. The LEDs and the photodiode are being controlled with a microcontroller that is connected to a computer to power the components and save data. The spectroanalysis made with the LED spectrometer were significantly different to a standard spectrometer, concluding that more analysis should be made until a final product is ready. Some areas of improvements are suggested. .

Each new construction project brings new opportunities, and it requires a new plan, new organisation, and new suppliers. All construction projects are very different from each other and in terms of a logistical perspective, this is very weak as it makes it difficult to get a flow in the production and to make flawless routines. The way the external and internal logistics are managed, can effect the final product in the time taken to produce it, the quality of the product and the profit made from it. When internal logistics are handled poorly, it could result in materials not being at the right place at the right time, or information not going through to the right person.

Utveckling av en universell laddare

Syftet med examensarbetet har varit att undersöka möjligheterna att utveckla, producera och lansera en ny universell laddare. Målet har varit att kunna ladda så många modeller av så många produkter som möjligt, vilket innefattar mobiltelefoner, kameror, datorer och MP3-spelare etc. Arbetet skulle leda fram till ett förslag på produkt.Genom att undersöka befintliga patent och produkter, har marknaden granskats och slutsatsen är att det finns en uppsjö av universella laddare på marknaden. Dock finns det få produkter som inger säkerhet, möjliggör multipel laddning och som är stationära. Dessa egenskaper blev grundstenar i den kravspecifikation som utarbetades.

In our study we concentrated our focus on the student?s use of electronic resources. So as not to prejudice our study group our questions focused on different aspects of searching for information.

A number of publications has been produced for two companies in Dalarna, Utvecklingshuset andSkönhetsbanken.Utvecklingshuset is working, among other things, with stressyndroms and by treating crises. Theirpublications consist of a number of product sheets, a folder and a brochure. They want to use the publicationsfor information to their customers.Skönhetsbanken is a beauty saloon who will have a brochure to mediate the services they can offer.Photos have been taken, existing and for this purpose written texts have been used.The softwares Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and Adobe Indesign 2.0 have been used for all publications andthe work with producing these has been satisfactory.The effect of a good cooperation with the companies has resulted in that they are pleased with thepublications and feel that they have been part of the end of the results.All of the publications have been or will be printed with digital printing methods, which is the reasonfor the choice of the litterature survey.The survey deals with, among other things, how the digital press works, which papers that are suitable,economic aspects and what a graphic designer should have in mind when it comes to graphic productsthat will be printed with digital printing methods..

Samlingssystem för miljöinformation: analys, modell,

Detta är ett 20 poängs examensarbete utfört under 2004 vid Luleå tekniska universitet i samarbete med MRM konsult AB. Examensarbetet ingår som avslutning på civilingenjörsutbildningen Samhällsbyggnadsteknik med inriktning geografisk informationsteknik (GIT). Examensarbetet syftar till att ta fram en modell för att i ett geografiskt informa-tionssystem (GIS) hålla samman miljöinformation kopplat till ett geografiskt område. Med miljöinformation menas de rapporter, anteckningar, protokoll, analysresultat, kartor, fotografier m.m. som tas fram i och med att en plats undersöks för eventuell sanering.

Entering a new country means a new culture, a new language, different norms and values and new people with a different way of thinking unlike what you are used to. In order to survive and be successful in this new country means that you have to adapt to the new culture and its components you encounter.The purpose of this thesis has been to identify possibilities and barriers in the Middle Eastern culture affecting international clothing companies. Furthermore it has been investigated how these companies must adapt their products and promotion to this culture.In order to obtain relevant data for achieving the purpose of the study interviews and observations was made at three international clothing companies in Tehran, Iran. These were Mango, United Colors of Benetton and adidas.

Konvertering av CRM-system från ASP till ASP.NET

S2 CRM is a Customer Relations Management system built in classic ASP that runs on a web server servicing customers with varying needs. The purpose of this thesis work is to convert parts of the system to the web development environment ASP.NET. The purpose is also to gain knowledge of the framework itself. The ASP.NET environment is compared with another framework, JBoss Seam, in order to understand the differences and to evaluate the possibility of using another framework than ASP.NET, when building the new system. The outcome of this comparison is that although JBoss Seam is just as good, and in some aspects better than ASP.NET, the use of ASP.NET simplifies the continuation of development on the S2 CRM product.

An increased awareness about the global warming has created a demand for more information on how the climate is affected by different activities.This master thesis was initiated by Tricorona, a Swedish company that offers its customers analysis and calculation of their climate impact. Tricorona also supplies climate neutralisation with CERs, in accordance with the Kyoto protocol and controlled by the UN. This work demands updated emission factors for greenhouse gases. An emission factor gives information about the greenhouse gasintensity of a service or a product [kg CO2-eq./ functional unit].The purpose of this thesis is to examine how electricity, district heating, hotels, taxis, food and materials affect the climate and how emission factors for these areas can be calculated.This was done by reviewing and comparing different studies and by interviewing experts. The information was evaluated and recommendations on calculations and emission factors were made.The consumption of energy is the main source of greenhouse gas emissions for district heating, electricity, hotels, taxis and materials.

Garantiregistreringsapplikation Skapa garantikvitton med hjälp av befintlig kund och produktdata

Vårt examensarbete gick ut på att skapa en prototyp på en applikation till Team Sportia, Hässleholm, som skulle underlätta garantiregistering vid cykelförsäljning. Den skulle göra sökning och sammställning av information från en Oracle-produktdatabas och en IBM-kunddatabas. Informationen skulle sedan skrivas ut som ett garantikvitto samtidigt som den skulle sparas i en Oracle- ellerIBM-databas.Vi skulle kort sagt skapa en applikation som underlättade garantiregistreringen förTeam Sportias anställda.Eftersom vi inte kunde testa vår applikation mot Team Sportias miljö behövde vi skapa en med hjälp av IBMs respektive Oracles gratisversioner av sina databaser.De hade tillräcklig funktionalitet för vårt testmiljösyfte. Garantikvittot skulle innehålla all den information som finns på kvittona idag. För att vara säkra på det undersöktes Team Sportias tre olika garantikvitton för att kunna skapa ett liknande i applikationen.Vår applikation fungerar utifrån de premisser vi hade från början.

And if so, how can the increase be explained by well-recognized research in the field?The media industry is changing toward an increasingly commercial content. In television, this change is mainly caused by the growth in shows watched on the web and through time shift, which is the act of watching something on a digital video recorder, or DVR. This gives the viewer the possibility to fast forward through the commercial breaks, and therefore forces the networks as well as the advertizer to find new ways to reach consumers. Hence the plausible growth in product placement and brand exposure.
