My work has been an investigation project with focus on reproduction, method, structure and visual representation. The goal was to investigate how a story changes through time and space as well as how graphic design can affect a story depending on the visual representation. The result is a publication, an exploration of these subjects with the help of the book Expedition Kon-Tiki. Using more or less controlled methods of selections I have created different sorts of reproductions of the expedition. Just as subjective as reality itself..

Examensarbetet undersöker huruvida en blisk kan förses med ett heltäckande tak över bladtopparna. En blisk är en skiva och blad som är tillverkat i ett stycke. Som referens under arbetet används en befintlig blisk från provkompressorn Hulda. Målsättningen med att förse blisken med ett tak är att taket ska stabilisera konstruktionen genom att förstyva bladen och höja frekvenserna för de lägsta egenfrekvenserna samt eliminera läckflödet över bladen. Under arbetet undersöks material, tillverkningsmetoder, tillverkningskostnader samt de risker som finns vid användning av den takförsedda blisken.

Detta examensarbete syftade till att utveckla ett koncept på en Rollator, ett gå-hjälpmedel för människor vars gång är funktionsnedsatt. Målet med arbetet var att förbättra utgångskonceptet med en smartare och mer tillverkningsvänlig design samtidigt som rollatorn får ett enhetligt design/formspråk. .

During the spring of 2013 we developed a visual identity for Jönköping Bandy, a bandy association in Jönköping, which was founded in 1947.Jönköping Bandy?s main problem was the low interest for the association by the local people. The association also had problems with the economy, which made it hard for them to merchandise themselves.In Jönköping, there were a lot of sport associations, and therefore, it was difficult to find sponsors. One way to help the association, was to create a good visual identity for them. A visual identity that would reflect on the proper values of the association.The intention was: ?Through graphical design, we want to convey Jönköping Bandy to a larger amount of people, and get increased knowledge in graphical idiom.? and was torn apart into these three questions:What core values does Jönköping Bandy have, and how can we convey them through the visual identity?Which visual materials does Jönköping Bandy need?How do other teams in Allsvenskan Södra merchandise themselves through their websites?The work began with a study of relevant theoretical literature, with focus on graphical design.

Sammanfattning Detta examensarbete grundar sig på idén om att stadens byggnader, och de arkitektoniska koncept som brukas, påverkar hur det offentliga rummet används och upplevs. Valet av arkitektoniskt koncept ger genomslag också på hur det offentliga rummet uppfattas, samt vilka prioriteringar som görs i den fysiska miljön i byggnadens närhet. Det handlar dels om att byggnaders skala, exploateringsgrad och verksamheter men också om att definiera vilka kvaliteter som är önskvärt, samt vad dessa begrepp egentligen står för. Examensarbetet ger ingen heltäckande översikt över stilformer och begrepp som förekommer inom arkitekturen och stadsplaneringen. Arbetets syfte är att visa hur koncept byggs upp, hur form definieras, samt ger exempel på hur detta kan appliceras på en specifik plats.

Målet med detta examensarbete var att ta fram en sittmöbel för utomhusbruk, som man kan ha ute i trädgården, på verandan eller balkongen. Syftet var att utöka Mazes produkt sortiment och göra en möbel som speglar företaget. Materialet är tråd av stål och är så pass stark att trots dess tunnhet att man kan bygga stabila konstruktioner. Tre skiss koncept togs fram och två av dessa tre valdes tillsammans med företaget att gå vidare med. Efter att ha utvecklat de båda stolarna så var Kent Johansson på Maze nöjd.

Today almost every artist has a music video. With today?s technology it has become a lot easier for smaller companies or amateur filmers to produce and distribute their work. But how important is an artist?s music video and where do people find their music these days? Other questions we wanted to answer were if there is a typical way a music video looks like based on its genre.

In visual programming the developer specifies her code, using visual tools. Within the range of visual programming languages lay icon-based languages, form-based languages, and diagram languages.Mediator is a multimedia authoring tool that allows the user to create interactive CD-ROM presentations, dynamic HTML pages and Flash projects, without any coding or scripting. The user can create interactivity in her project, using event driven and icon-based visual programming, through a ?drag and drop? user interface. This report intends to determine some of the qualifications of a tool of this kind, as well as its limitations.The report is based on a case study, in which a smaller software application was to be updated using Mediator 9.

Arbetet som utförts består av två applikationer där båda presenterar information geografiskt på internet. Applikationerna har konstruerats i utvecklingsverktyget Visual Basic och med GIS-programvarorna MapObjects och MapObjects Internet Map Server. Den första applikationen som tillverkades är helt HTML-baserad (HTML är ett språk som används för att konstruera sidor på internet), vilket betyder att den fungerar som vilken sida som helst på internet, bortsett från att den kräver att en kartserver alltid har igång kartan i applikationen. Lame dogs are a common group of patients for the practicing veterinarian. In the literature it is described how a clinical examination can be performed, based on general clinical-, orthopedic- and neurological examination, and visual evaluation of the dog when standing and during motion. For research, objective gait analysis systems are also used to study clinically healthy and lame dogs during motion. The aim of this degree project was to compare objective kinematic gait analysis with a visual evaluation of dogs with different types of lameness. The project was a pilot study to show if objective gait analysis could be used as a support for the visual examination. Ten lame dogs of different breeds and with different diagnoses were included in the study. They were all patients at the University Animal hospital, Uppsala.

During our education to become lighting designers at Jönköping University, the artificial lighting has been in focus. Therefore we wanted to learn more about daylight. We chose to do this from a visual approach in open plan offices. Since daylight is part of the architects´ responsibility to master, we wanted to examine what architects think of when they plan daylight environments in open plan offices and how this is expressed in the buildings with focus on the visual factors.Our questions at issue are:What knowledge do architects have concerning daylight planning, and how do they use this knowledge in their practice?How well do the chosen daylight environments meet the end-users need of a good visual environment? The study consists of three case studies, carried out in the same way.

Denna studie syftar till att integrera lämpliga funktioner och koncept typiska för sociala nätverkssidor i ett kommunikationsverktyg med avsikt att förenkla och stödja kommunikation mellan kollegor i team och projekt.  Designprocessen bestod av tre faser. I fas ett avgjordes genom en Pugh-matris vilka funktioner och koncept som hade störst potential för integration. I fas två integrerades dessa i en digital prototyp av det redan existerande kommunikationsverktyget Briteback. I fas tre identifierades användbarhetsproblem hos den framtagna prototypen.

The task of this project was to build an computer processing system for pressureregulation, in which the pressure loss over the open hydrolicvalve should be kept as low as possible. By using an cross connected proportional directional valve the valve problem could be solved. The control- and regulationproblem for the pressureregulation system was solved by using the DAQ- card NI6035E from National Instruments and the computerprogram Automatic Pressure Control 1.0 which has been software developed and written in Visual Basic. The final result showed that correct processvarible was obtained in 0,5 seconds, when the setpoint was changed in the testarea 0 - 2,5 MPa..

Syftet med denna kandidatuppsats är att undersöka hur ett företag effektivt kan nå ut på den svenska marknaden genom att applicera en annan kulturs koncept i Sverige. Frågeställningar: 1.Hur kan ett företag vars koncept har etniskt ursprung nå ut och växa effektivt i Sverige? 2. Hur kan denna process se ut? Insamlingen av empiriskt material har skett via en intervju med en av ägarna till vårt fallföretag, sekundärdata såsom artiklar samt observationer.
