Visuella Effekter Inom Genrespecifik Musikvideoproduktion
Today almost every artist has a music video. With today?s technology it has become a lot easier for smaller companies or amateur filmers to produce and distribute their work. But how important is an artist?s music video and where do people find their music these days? Other questions we wanted to answer were if there is a typical way a music video looks like based on its genre.
Programvaruutveckling med visuell programmering i en pedagogisk tillämpning
In visual programming the developer specifies her code, using visual tools. Within the range of visual programming languages lay icon-based languages, form-based languages, and diagram languages.Mediator is a multimedia authoring tool that allows the user to create interactive CD-ROM presentations, dynamic HTML pages and Flash projects, without any coding or scripting. The user can create interactivity in her project, using event driven and icon-based visual programming, through a ?drag and drop? user interface. This report intends to determine some of the qualifications of a tool of this kind, as well as its limitations.The report is based on a case study, in which a smaller software application was to be updated using Mediator 9.
Tolkning och uttryck - interpretation : Perspektiv inom sångundervisning
Denna undersökning syftar till att få en inblick i hur några sångpedagoger arbetar med och tänker kring tolkning och musikaliskt uttryck. Detta har undersökts genom kvalitativa intervjuer med sex sångpedagoger med olika bakgrund, arbetsplats och genreinriktning.I min undersökning kommer jag fram till att det trots pedagogernas olika bakgrund i genrekunskap, utbildning, och nivå på elever finns många gemensamma nämnare för hur deras arbete med tolkning och uttryck går till. Att flera av informanterna använder begreppet interpretation under intervjuerna ser jag som att begreppen inte verkar påverka mitt resultat, då jag tolkar det som att informanterna menar samma sak och att innebörden är densamma.Jag anser även att svaren på intervjuerna pekar på att det hos några av informanterna finns en osäkerhet om vad arbetet med tolkning och musikaliskt uttryck kan leda till och att de därför inte i så hög grad medvetet använder detta i sin undervisning.Att arbeta med tolkning och musikaliskt uttryck kan innebära en mängd olika saker vilka har gemensamt att skapa medvetenhet om det egna uttrycket. Detta kan enligt litteraturen, Rydberg - Asplind med flera, leda till mer personligt uttryck samt bättre teknik..
Geografisk presentation av statistik på Internet: Web Mapping
Arbetet som utförts består av två applikationer där båda presenterar information geografiskt på internet. Applikationerna har konstruerats i utvecklingsverktyget Visual Basic och med GIS-programvarorna MapObjects och MapObjects Internet Map Server. Den första applikationen som tillverkades är helt HTML-baserad (HTML är ett språk som används för att konstruera sidor på internet), vilket betyder att den fungerar som vilken sida som helst på internet, bortsett från att den kräver att en kartserver alltid har igång kartan i applikationen. Den andra har konstruerats med ActiveX. ActiveX är ett tilläggsprogram som fungerar tillsammans flera utvecklingsverktyg bl.a.

Lame dogs are a common group of patients for the practicing veterinarian. In the
literature it is described how a clinical examination can be performed, based on
general clinical-, orthopedic- and neurological examination, and visual evaluation
of the dog when standing and during motion. For research, objective gait analysis
systems are also used to study clinically healthy and lame dogs during motion.
The aim of this degree project was to compare objective kinematic gait analysis
with a visual evaluation of dogs with different types of lameness. The project was
a pilot study to show if objective gait analysis could be used as a support for the
visual examination.
Ten lame dogs of different breeds and with different diagnoses were included in
the study. They were all patients at the University Animal hospital, Uppsala.

During our education to become lighting designers at Jönköping University, the artificial lighting has been in focus. Therefore we wanted to learn more about daylight. We chose to do this from a visual approach in open plan offices. Since daylight is part of the architects´ responsibility to master, we wanted to examine what architects think of when they plan daylight environments in open plan offices and how this is expressed in the buildings with focus on the visual factors.Our questions at issue are:What knowledge do architects have concerning daylight planning, and how do they use this knowledge in their practice?How well do the chosen daylight environments meet the end-users need of a good visual environment? The study consists of three case studies, carried out in the same way.
Processdatorsystem för tryckreglering
The task of this project was to build an computer processing system for pressureregulation, in which the pressure loss over the open hydrolicvalve should be kept as low as possible. By using an cross connected proportional directional valve the valve problem could be solved. The control- and regulationproblem for the pressureregulation system was solved by using the DAQ- card NI6035E from National Instruments and the computerprogram Automatic Pressure Control 1.0 which has been software developed and written in Visual Basic. The final result showed that correct processvarible was obtained in 0,5 seconds, when the setpoint was changed in the testarea 0 - 2,5 MPa..

Detta kandidatarbete handlar om visuella effekter inom film och dess utveckling
genom åren. Visuella effekter har öppnat en ny värld för filmskapandet då man
kan skapa i princip vad som helst vilket gör att det omöjliga helt plötsligt
blir möjligt, på filmduken. Kandidatarbetets syfte är att titta på utvecklingen
av visuella effekter och hur man kan använda de kunskaper i en mindre
filmproduktion. Vår problemformulerings frågeställning är ?Hur har utvecklingen
inom visuella effekter sett ut och hur kan man implementera dessa kunskaper i
en mindre filmproduktion??.
I undersökningen analyserar vi hur man skapat scener i olika hollywoodfilmer
som vi tagit inspiration av i vår produktion.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze DVD covers for the genre romantic comedy from the 2000s as a way to obtain patterns and codes provided by the genre. The theoretical framework consists of previous research that analyzed various posters, theories about semiotics, genre, and visual rhetoric. These theories will help answer the main question and help with the analysis.The objects for observation are ten DVD covers from the genre romantic comedy and a qualitative content analysis is used for this thesis. The movies are from the US and they are all high in Box Office. Box Office stands for how many tickets were sold and how much money a film has earned.

Ur en annan synvinkel : Om unga med synnedsättning och vad som inverkar på deras gymnasieval
The study deals with young people with visual impairment and their choices of upper secondary school, what is behind and how they are affected by other aspects and other people around them. It also describes how these students experience the career counseling they received for the election. This has been the purpose of the study and was examined through qualitative method and interviews with five young people aged 15 to 21 years with severe visual impairment or blindness. The results and conclusion is that these young people are greatly affected by their parents in choice of upper secondary school and that the school?s attitude to the pupil has a major impact on whether the pupil chooses the school.

The purpose of the case study is to research whether the brand Hollister can establish themselves to their target audience working with communication. To achieve the goal with the study, the following theories has been applied: brand building, visual communication, two-way symmetrical communication and communication channels. The study was conducted by a quantitative online questionnaire survey. The online survey was aimed at teenagers aged 15-18 years old living in Täby or Umeå where one question was "What difference can be discerned between Täby, where there is a shop, and Umeå where there is no shop". The material was collected during a period of eight days between december 11th to december 19th 2013.
