Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka om medelstora och stora företag i olika branscher använder sig av liknande feedbacksystem när feedback ges till ledare.Det som vi kommit fram till efter att ha studerat fyra företag i olika branscher och storlek är att de mätbara värdena som exempelvis produktivitet, gavs som feedback på liknande sätt till ledare. Företagen gav feedback på det som producerades och hur pass väl ledarens grupp uppnått uppsatta mål. Mjuka värden som exempelvis ledarens ledaregenskaper, gavs från ledarens ledare vilket är det vanligaste i företag. Ett av de intervjuade företagen bedrev dock även feedback från underställda genom frågeformulär som sedan sammansattes i en modell som gav ett ledarindex. Ledaren kunde därmed se vad medarbetarna tycker om dennes ledarstil.

This thesis compares four relevance feedback methods. The Rocchio and Ide dec-hi algorithms for the vector space model and the binary independence model and Okapi BM25 within the probabilistic framework. This is done in a custom-made Information Retrieval system utilizing a collection containing 131 896 LA-Times articles which is part of the TREC ad-hoc collection. The methods are compared on two grounds, using only the relevance information from the 20 highest ranked documents from an initial search and also by using all available relevance information. Although a significant effect of choice of method could be found on the first ground, post-hoc analysis could not determine any statistically significant differences between the methods where Rocchio, Ide dec-hi and Okapi BM25 performed equivalent.

AbstractObjectivePatients with Parkinson?s disease often have symptoms of dysphagia. These swallowingproblems have consequences for quality of life as well for the physical wellbeing of thepatients. AimThe aim of this study was to describe and correlate Swallowing Quality of Life (SWAL-QOL)scores, self-assessment of swallowing function using a visual analogue scale and the resultsfrom a fiber endoscopic evaluation of swallowing function in patients who had been selectedfor Deep Brain Stimulation in caudal zona incerta. A secondary aim was to correlate diseaseduration with results from SWAL-QOL and the fiber endoscopic evaluation of swallowingfunction.MethodTen male Parkinson?s patients (age 45-69 yrs, median 61.5 yrs) who were selected for DeepBrain Stimulation completing the Swallowing Quality of life form, as well as rating theirswallowing function using a visual analogue scale and undergoing a fiber endoscopicevaluation of their swallowing function.    ResultsThe median total SWAL-QOL score was 94% while the mean was 91%.

Very often it is the common picture of whatis considered typically French that is shown. There areseveral problems to be found in limiting oneself to thesekinds of visualizations. One of these is that the Frenchlanguage is no longer strictly French.

In society and school today there is a major focus on assessment, and this can for example be seen in an increased research on assessment over the last ten years. But one research topic still quite unexplored is how students perceive assessment. The main purpose with this study is to explore students? experiences of assessment, how assessment interferes with their volition and if the extent of the impact on the motivation varies depending on how the assessment is performed. In order to answer these questions a quantitative investigation was performed at first. 83 students answered a questionnaire about what kind of assessment they experience in school, if they receive feedback, what is important for being successful in school, if they know on what grounds they are assessed, what impact failure and/or success has on their motivation, if they are stressed by school etc.

A film can attract all kinds of emotions and moods of the audience through its audiovisual communications and cinematic expression, in which music plays a significant role in both understanding and interpretation of film content.It is interesting to explore the musical significance and the emotional aspect of the film out of a media and communications perspective and visual communications perspective because it?s a subject that belongs to the communications of scientific discipline as film is a media text which is working both as communicative and as audio-visual medium with its expressive aspects.The purpose of this bachelor?s paper is to increase and deepen the understanding of music's function and significant role in context with its reinforcing sense of visual expression in film. More specifically, it aims to explore the musical value of the expressive aspect of the media text in form of film musical Les Misérables (2012), which has been transmedialised from the novel of the same name, referring to the sound, music and song in relation to the film's visual expression.The research questions are at the core of the essay study: "how is music used to reinforce the cinematic visual expression?" and "how can music signify the narrative and highlight the emotional aspect of the film?" The theoretical framework is based on some of the key scholars assumptions such as Michel Chion (1994) and Claudia Gorbman (1987), who share the same theoretical views that the soundtrack seems powerful when it expresses its participation in a scene?s emotional moods as the music follows the scene?s rhythm, the image?s flow and contributes emotional and musical codes of emotions and expressions. According to Chion sound and image interact together to tell a story where sound enrich the image with expressive and informative values.

In this paper Mona Hatoums installation Corps étranger is discussed via a post structuralized method based on associative and semiotic comparisons with vanitas, a post-modern self-portrait, and as a representative for modern visual art. The analyze touches upon pornography, science fiction and the quest for scientific conquest in outer and inner space. Theoretical references are Foucault, Freud, Lacan, Barthes, Dolar, Said and Virilio. Hatoum makes the observer a voyageur with the aid of the latest medical technology, endoscope, which gives her the opportunity to make an introvert self-portrait when she films her own throat and rectum. But at the same time she makes the portrait of us all.

Redan 1899 skrev Woodworth om iakttagelser av effekten av visuell feedback på rörelser. Sedan dess har ett stort antal studier berört ämnet och studerat effekterna de medför. Denna studie anser att det finns brister i kunskapen om visuell feedbacks effekter inom vardaglig användning. Genom att låta deltagare använda och utvärdera instanser av en bokningsplattform för biljetter till ett event har studien observerat användarens upplevelse och effektivitet under processen.Den insamlade datan analyserades via variansanalys men lyckas inte avfärda nollhypotesen. Studiens resultat visade ingen korrelation mellan närvaron av visuell feedback på hover-funktionen och användarens effektivitet och upplevelse.

Under idrottsliga aktiviteter, är det kutym bland deltagare och åskådare att ge verbal feedback till andra eller till sig själv med syfte att förbättra prestationen. Vissa använder verbal feedback, andra inte. Vad ger då detta för effekt? Är dessa två fenomen, verbal feedback och prestation, på något sätt relaterade till varandra? Resultat från en sådan studie, skulle vara fördelaktig för idrottare på alla nivåer, såväl som för idrotts- och rehabiliteringsforskning som baserar sina fynd och metoder på empiriska resultat erhållna från mätningar av individers förmåga att utveckla kraft under olika förhållanden. Huvudsyftet med denna studie är att undersöka effekten av verbal feedback på en maximal isometrisk armbågsflexion.

This project has created a web-application for the service technicians at the paper plant Gruvön. The project was outsourced to the IT-company Sogeti.The application visualizes information about reparation-work of the equipment at the paper plant. The displayed information is work-orders, the status of the work-orders and errors. It is also possible to see the costs and hours spent on reparation-work.. The work-orders and related information is stored in a relational database.The application is created mainly for web-browsers in mobile-phones and tablets.

I denna studie undersöks användandet av formativ bedömning i praktiken och vad lärare anser om bedömningssättet inom matematik. Dessutom klargörs begreppen formativ och summativ bedömning samt feedback. Tyngdpunkten ligger på formativ bedömning, men även summativ bedömning belyses. I studien genomfördes observationer av fyra lektioner i avseende att ta del av lärarens användande av formativ bedömning i matematik. Även intervjuer av fyra lärare har genomförts för att få reda på lärarnas tankar och åsikter om bedömningssättet.

The primary intention of this paper was to visually compare film trailers without considering semantic information, through use of a self-developed Matlab program, resembling that of human perception. Circa 150 people participated in an online survey where they were shown two film trailers and asked to rate their visual similarities. The result from the program was weighted against the survey results in such a way that the weights corresponded to a 75% accuracy between the program?s and the participant?s (for participants with prior experience in the field of photography and/or film) comparisons.How accurate can we compare still images from film trailers, and find similar trailers for the human viewer, by analyzing saturation, color tone, contrast and lightness with a self-developed Matlab program..

Resultatet är en databasapplikation som är utvecklad specifikt för C.N.S. Systems AB i Linköping. I uppgiften ingår analys, utformning, realisering, implementering, dokumentation samt i viss mån även förvaltning och drift. Utvecklingsarbetet har skett i nära samarbete med företaget som har tillhandhållit arbetsplatser och datorutrustning.

Vittnesmål används idag som ett av de viktigaste bevisen i brottsmål. Samtidigt är felaktiga vittnesmål den främsta orsaken till att personer blir oskyldigt dömda (Wells & Olson, 2003). Forskning visar att det är svårt att bedöma vittnens tillförlitlighet. Det är dock klart att de flesta förmågor går att förbättra med träning och feedback. Syftet med studien är därför att undersöka om direkt feedback samt information om faktorer som kännetecknar korrekta vittnesutsagor har betydelse för förmågan att bedöma utsagors tillförlitlighet.
