Arbetet bygger på att de informationssystem som används idag men som blir allt äldre och därigenom inte klarar de krav som ställs på dem. Detta medför att informationssystemen måste migreras till modernare plattformar, då företagen dels inte klarar sig utan dess nuvarande funktionalitet och dels måste vidareutveckla systemen.Detta arbete tar upp olika sätt som detta kan genomföras på och vilka problem som kan komma att uppstå när detta sker. För att kunna undersöka detta så genomfördes ett antal migrationer. Språken som migrationen kommer att ske mellan är Visual Basic 6 och Visual Basic .net. Migrationerna kommer att ske med hjälp av ett migrationsverktyg, samt ett ramverk som i arbetet skräddarsys för just arbetets typ av migrationer.Det arbetet kommer fram till är att det sker problem vid användande av ett verktyg och även att det inte ger tillräckligt med respons på vad som gått snett under migrationerna..

Detta projekt drevs på uppdrag av Flex Datasystem som behövde en vidareutveckling av deras aktuella hemsida. Här finns bland annat möjlighet att direkt ladda ner uppdateringar för kundernas program. Problemet var att hemsidan inte innehöll någon information om uppdateringarna. Kunderna måste då vända sig direkt till supporten för att få information om vad som har åtgärdats. Det här projektet gick ut på att utveckla en funktionalitet som, med automatik, publicerar information om varje uppdatering.

Denna uppsats handlar om visual merchandising online med fokus på företag som säljer sportkläder. Studien har genomförts ur ett konsumentperspektiv. Vår undersökning syftar till att studera produktsidor för sportkläder för att se hur konsumenter uppfattar den produktinformation, både visuell och verbal, som produktsidorna innehåller. Därigenom ska en kartläggning kunna göras av vilka element som är av vikt för respondenterna samt hur dessa bör utformas. Visual merchandising kan förklaras som den strategiska presentationen av ett företag och deras produkt, eller produkter, vars funktion är att attrahera kunder och underlätta inköpsprocessen.

To achieve a sustainable development, three aspects have to take equal place in the society; environmental, economical and social. To reduce the impact on the environment and the amount of greenhouse gases supplied to the atmosphere, industrialized countries and less developed countries must start cooperating. Also the use of renewable energy sources, like solar, hydro and wind power, have to increase.Wind power has great potential as a future energy supply. It is cost efficient, quickly developed and the resource is abundant and available worldwide.Examinations made in Sweden, indicates that there are difficulties establishing wind power at the same pace as the environmental goals, set by the Swedish government, requires. Mainly because people living nearby potential areas for wind power farms, appeal against the decision.This study aims to investigate differences between how people in Sweden and Brazil look at wind power as a future energy source and at the establishing process.

The gas turbines in the Swedish secondary reserve are reaching the end of their technical lifetime, hence alternative solutions need to be considered. One of the solutions thought to have the greatest potential is the use of so called consumptionreduction. By entering contracts with large consumers, agreements are made to reduce consumption in the event of major disturbances in the power system and thus being used as a secondary reserve. This thesis investigates the feasibility of consumption reduction as part of the secondary reserve. This has been achieved by developing a requirement specification for the disturbance reserve and by studying the technical and economic potential for consumption reduction among a range of consumers.The technical potential for consumption reduction that fulfils the requirements for participating in the secondary reserve are on average 750 MW in SE 3 and 98 MW in SE 4.

Sverige går idag mot en mer patientfokuserad vård. Personal Health Records (PHR) är en tjänst som möjliggör för patienten att samla och distribuera sin egen medicinska journal. Trots de patientfokuserade egenskaperna som PHR besitter är vetskapen om PHR liten i Sverige.Med syfte att undersöka PHR har vi utfört en studie som visar om PHR har en potential i Sverige. Nitton intervjuer utfördes varav sjutton stycken med diabetespatienter, en intervju med en representant för läkemedelsindustrin samt en intervju med en representant för sjukvården. Dessutom utfördes en patientenkät med diabetiker.Studien visade att PHR har en potential i Sverige, framförallt bland den viktigaste intressentgruppen patienterna fanns ett visst behov och upplevdes nyttan som stor.

Syftet med arbetet är att identifiera och lyfta fram ett antal riktlinjer för den visuella designen av animerad bild som används i utbildningssammanhang. Vi ämnar också att identifiera vilka stilelement inom animerad undervisningsfilm som står sig över tid och olika medium. Att belysa de nya kvaliteter och möjligheter som framkommer i och med det digitala mediet. Vi kommer också att titta på hur målgrupp och mottagarkontext påverkar formens uttryck och innehåll.Vi har med en gemensam analysmodell gjort en kvalitativ analys av tre tidstypiska animerade undervisningsfilmer, Camouflage (1943), Den Vidunderliga Världshistorien (1993) och Gutten og Torsken (2007) som alla använder sig av humor som en förstärkning av lärandet.Genom analysen har vi kunnat identifiera stilelement så som användandet av stereotyper och metaforer, konstaterat hur innehåll och uttryck till stor del påverkats av målgrupp och mottagarkontext men även av gällande distribution och tekniska möjligheter..

This graduate thesis takes its hold in an idea that many values, in cultural heritage environments, other than the onesthat can be seen with the eyes are as important for the experience of the environment as the visual ones; however theenvironments are usually defined by values that can be experienced visually!Interviews were held with four visually impaired persons. This to get a better understanding for how big part othersense modalities play in the experience of the cultural heritage environments. Questions were asked about what thevisually impaired especially value in cultural heritage environments and what is of value for preservation. Also whatcan be done to make the environments more impressive for them, how they experience the material part of theheritage, architecture, shape and color and with what senses they primarily remember. Furthermore the thesis aims todraw attention to how value definitions made by the conservation field affects the experience of the environmentsand therefore the accessibility for visually impaired.

The number of blogs, from weblogs, are increasing every day. Blogs are also becoming more visible in the public debate as well as the awareness of their existance is rising among politicians and citizens. The aim of this thesis is to answer the question what democratic potential blogs can have. This question will be answered by initially studying the research that exists today about weblogs and democracy. The second part of the analysis consists of a selection of texts from weblogs that touches this subject.

Technology has grown rapidly in recent years. At present, almost all social interaction are through computers and telephones. It is, however, not everyone who can manage these media. This applies mostly to elderly people who have not kept pace with technological developments. A major contributing reason is that the manuals are usually bulky and too technical for this group.The purpose of this paper is to develop a concept/prototype into a product that will facilitate the use of mobile phones for seniors.

Fyrtio deltagare fick som uppgift att genom ett visuellt avsökningsexperiment, så kallat visual search, avgöra om alla bilder i 3 x 3 matriser kom från samma kategori av djur eller om det fanns med någon bild från en avvikande kategori. Studiens syfte var att studera huruvida deltagarnas reaktionstider inför målbilder av ormar skilde sig från målbilder av stora rovdjur: björnar och vargar. Dessutom undersöktes om bilder i gråskala resulterade i snabbare, långsammare eller lika snabba responser som bilder i färg. Kortare reaktionstider observerades för målbilder av ormar än för björnar och vargar. Ormar skattades dessutom som mer obehagliga.

SammanfattningSom den avslutande delen på en Civilingenjörsutbildning på KTH utförs ett Examensarbete.Examensarbetet syftar till att ge erfarenheter och att utveckla förmågan i att lösa entidsbegränsad uppgift under realistiska förhållanden på ett ingenjörsvetenskapligt sätt. Dessaprojekt har i stor utsträckning samarbeten med arbetslivet och i detta fall var uppdragsgivarenVisual Act AB i Värmdö. Uppgiften gick ut på att implementera en regulator som styr motoraxlarpå en PC. I dagsläget nyttjar Visual Act intelligenta drivsteg som själva sköterpositionsregleringen. Exjobbet syftade till att undersöka möjligheterna att användaointelligentare och billigare drivsteg genom att flytta regleringen från drivstegen till en PC somredan är befintlig i Visual Acts system.Två applikationer utvecklades för att lösa detta.

Mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones are quite common in this day. The author of this thesis wanted to know how common these mobile devices are in the building industry and how they are used and what potential an app could have. The author thus conducted an investigation on this matter, mainly in the form of interviews.Answers given by the interviews were then used as a basis to survey the usage of mobile devices and the usage of different kinds of apps. An investigation of different apps with the potential to be used by professionals in the building industry has been carried through. Apps which manage such things as scanning documents, measuring distances and handle communication.

Tången 2 is a building situated in Stockholm, Sweden. It´s built in the 1930s and contains both residences and businesses. The property owner, Diligentia AB, wants to lower the energy use in Tången 2. This report consists of an energy audit which clarifies the specific circumstances linked to Tången 2. Collected knowledge is then used, together with the results from the literature study, to decide energy measures to proceed with.

I och med att konkurrensen är hård mellan idrottsklubbar så är det viktigt att uppträda professionellt för att locka publik till sitt idrottsarrangemang. En del av detta är att ta hand om besökare på ett snabbt och smidigt sätt. Denna rapport beskriver hur vi gick tillväga för att skapa ett biljettförsäljningssystem åt Bodens ishockeyklubb. Det är tänkt att programmet ska användas i Björknäshallen, vilken är Bodens IK´s hemma arena. Som det fungerar nu så markerar de på papper vilka platser som säljs och skriver sedan ut biljetten för hand.
