Store windows, as many earlier research studies indicate, is an important factor of the store atmosphere to attract customers into the store. In this study we have narrowed it down and chosen to focus on how different contexts of the store windows will effect customers' evaluation. The purpose is to find out how the context of high creativity and low creativity combined with different time aspect in store windows will affect store image, attitude, entering decisions and purchase intention toward the store. The results are based on a quantitative study where we did an experiment and a field study. The result shows that higher level of creativity is better than lower level of creativity in certain aspects.

The built environment should be accessible for everyone. A residence shall be functional without creating a handicap for people who have a disability from birth, caused by an accident or of old age. A residence that is accessible creates equal conditions for everyone.In this report the accessibility of newly built blocks of flats in Uddevalla city from 1990 until today are interpreted. One project that is yet to be built is interpreted and compared with the already existing projects. The apartments of seven projects have been analyzed according to today?s regulations of accessibility.

Syfte: Undersöka möjliga metoder till att finna matglädje vid ätstörningar samt undersöka hur användbara dessa metoder kan vara för människor med ätstörningar både i och utanför behandling.Bakgrund: Ätstörningar är ett växande folkhälsoproblem och ett område där det krävs mer uppmärksamhet och forskning för att öka förståelsen och kunskapen av ätstörningar, samt även för att kunna öka förebyggandet och behandling av dessa sjukdomar. Denna uppsats inriktar sig på ätstörningar och matglädje. Det är oerhört viktigt att hitta glädjen för mat när man har en ätstörning för att kunna nå ett friskare liv och ett friskare tänkesätt kring mat och sin egen kropp. Denna uppsats har undersökt möjliga metoder som kan användas för att hjälpa människor med ätstörningar att finna matglädje. En studie har genomförts på Capio Anorexi Center i Malmö som fokuserade på hur personalen arbetar för att hjälpa patienter att finna glädje för mat under behandling, samt hur de arbetar för att förmedla mat på ett positivt sätt för sina patienter.Metod: Litteraturstudier genomfördes både innan och efter undersökningen på Capio Anorexi Center.

This study elucidates the perceptions of twelve people at an age between 35 and 50 years, on what influence intoxication and drunkenness in the bar environment. The purpose of this study is to create an understanding of the effect the intoxication has on the visitor in the bar environment and this is done through qualitative method interviews. The theoretical frame we use to analyse the empirical data, is divided in to four parts: set and setting, environment and its regions, social behaviour and genus perspective. The theoretical material, together with the empirical data in the form of the results of the interviews, forms the platform for this paper. It is on the basis of these results that our questions finally will be answered.

As a small and land scarce country, effective waste management is ofoutmost importance in Singapore. In this study the production of biogasthrough anaerobic digestion from the organic fraction of municipal solidwaste (OFMSW) was compared to incineration of the waste. At the momentalmost all of the OFMSW in Singapore is incinerated. Three differentscenarios were compared to the reference scenario (incineration): one with alarge scale biogas plant that can treat half of all OFMSW in Singapore, onewith a medium scale biogas plant about 15 times smaller than the large oneand one with a small scale biogas plant that can treat waste from e.g. ashopping center or a food center.By using life cycle assessment (LCA) the different scenarios were comparedin terms of global warming potential (GWP), acidification, eutrophication,energy use and land use.

Stockholm is growing with almost two fully loaded SL-buses a day. One of the consequences that derive from this is the increase of public transport travelers who put the regionally governed public transport up to the test in terms of its capacity. The Transport administration in Stockholm County initiated 2015 a project with the purpose of simplifying the calculation of bus stop capacities. A hypothesis (set up by the Transport administration) based on that a model for calculation of bus stop capacities could be calibrated for Stockholm conditions is being researched in this bachelor?s essay.The study is implemented by self-collected traffic data from bus stops located in the Stockholm city center.

The purpose of my research has been to analyze the communi-cation of three cultural heritages and how they are being ex-posed on their respective webpages. The essay has also touched the subject as to how webpages can, through marketing of cul-tural heritages, create a connection to the marketed locations and their cultural environment. A phenomenon you could call ?creating a location?. My study has also resulted in an under-standing of how historical sites as cultural actors position them-selves to attract visitors to the location.

This degree project has been carried out by Oscar Adolfsson and Marcus Blomqvist, during the spring of 2010, both studying to become Bachelor of Science in Innovation and Design Engineering, at Karlstad University. The degree project includes 22,5 credits.The work is done on behalf of Etac Supply Center AB in Anderstorp. Etac is a company developing and manufacturing home health care products, with operation in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, England and Germany, and with sales worldwide. Bo Lindqvist, R & D manager has been the contact person at Etac.During the project the students has had a workplace at Semcon Caran AB in Karlstad. Semcon has also been helpful as a sounding board.The objective of the work has been developing a new, wall mounted shower chair, assigned for persons with difficulty to stand up while showering.Etacs requirement of the shower chair is that it should be able to support a user with a weight of 100 kg, the chair shouldn?t have any outrigger, optional should be armrests and backrest.

The increased travelling of today makes nodes along travelling routes more and more important. This is very much the case of petrol stations. They constitute important nodes in the road network, filling up thirsty fuel tanks and hungry stomachs, guiding road users and providing vehicle-services. In this thesis the role of the petrol station for road users was investigated in order to find out if the petrol station was a potential hot spot. We performed an ethnographic field study at a petrol station and found that a great number of visitor activities took place at the petrol station.

This handbook is made to illustrate what the County Administrative Board do and how you can find your way to the archives and its documents, both as an employ and as a public visitor.The Handbook begins with a historical overview of the County Administrative Board, from the 17th century to today, with focus on the County Administrative Board of Uppsala. As the Handbook is made for both employees and for the general public several ways to enter the archives are described.Since the employees at the County Administrative Board of Uppsala have access to the archives them self the Handbook also provides detailed descriptions about how to find the way to the records. These descriptions both explains the way to archives organized in dossier and archives organized in chronological order, both provided at County Administrative Board of Uppsala.All the records that the County Administrative Board of Uppsala has generated though the years are not available in the building of the County Administrative Board but at The National Archive in Uppsala.

Shopping is one of the most important social activities today and the majority of all shopping takes place in Shopping Centres. The number of Shopping Centres has increased and it is important to attract visitors by using the right marketing strategy. Christmas is an extra important period because the turnover normally increases three times in December compared to a ?normal? month. The purpose of this study is to analyze the marketing of Shopping Centres during the Christmas period, and analyze how this marketing contributes to the visitors? choice of Shopping Centre. This is a positivistic study that combines a quantitative and a qualitative method.This study concludes that range of stores and distance are the most important factors when a visitor decides which Shopping Centre to visit. During Christmas it is important to create a Christmas feeling, preferably made by offering decorations and music.

Jag är född och uppvuxen i en liten by som heter Dyvik och som ligger precis innanför Ljusterö i mellersta/norra stockholms skärgård. Jag har alltid vistats mycket i skärgården både kring platsen där jag växte upp men även runtom i hela skärgården då jag hela mitt liv har seglat mycket. Stockholms skärgård är där mina rötter ligger och jag har alltid velat göra ett projekt som utgår ifrån mig själv och platsen där jag kommer ifrån och som har format mig.Stockholms skärgård har dessutom förutom ett fantastiskt och i många fall unikt naturliv dessutom ett rikt kulturarv. Det finns en enorm mängd historia och närheten till Stockholms stad gör platsen mycket speciell. Staden och havet.

Rapporten redovisar utredning, skisser och det slutliga förslaget för en ombyggnation av en skollokal till ett science center.BakgrundFramtidsmuseet i Dalarna har under en längre tid varit i behov av en större lokal för att kunna expandera. En lämplig lokal i närheten av köpcentret Kupolen finns, då den har använts för undervisning och inte har genomgått någon större förändring sedan den byggdes i slutet av 70-talet, behövs en omfattande exteriör och interiör ombyggnation för att passa Framtidsmuseets behov.GenomförandeLokal- och byggprogram har framtagits genom att sammanställa beställarens krav och ambitioner med egen införskaffad information om lämplig innemiljö, med tanke på barns inlärning och gällande praxis för att göra byggnader tillgängliga och användbara för alla. Dessa har sedan omvandlats via olika skisser och utkast till ett färdigt förslag på ombyggnation av byggnaden till Framtidsmuseets nya lokaler.ResultatFörslaget innefattar Framtidsmuseets alla olika verksamheter, men även en sammanslagning med Kulturcentrum Asken inryms i förslaget. Förslaget är anpassat efter barns behov av att ha ett ljust och stillsamt inneklimat för att lättare kunna lära sig de kunskaper som Framtidsmuseet och Kulturcentrum Asken förmedlar. Museet har även utformats med tillräckliga passagebredder och minimala nivåskillnader etcetera för att kunna användas till fullo av alla besökare.

A project exploring the boundaries between 2D and 3D. What is surface and what is substance? A countinuation of previous projects where I?ve examined the journey from two dimensional paper to three dimensonal objects. This project deals with the journey from three dimensonality back into a flat two dimensional surface, and the question if something can be both 2D and 3D at the same time. I decided not to center the project around a specific item, but rather let the project itself be in focus.
