Purpose/aim: The purpose of this thesis is to examine if, and in that case how, the municipality of Umeå worked strategically with its communication during 2014 when Umeå was chosen as ?European Capital of Culture?. The research is mainly focused on the outlines of their communication plan, main goals, what  communication strategies the municipality has chosen to and their choice of media channels.Material/method: Two methods are used for this research; qualitative interviews with four employees within the communication team during Umeå2014 and a text analysis of three formal documents which provide the framework of communication policies and media strategies during Umeå2014.Results: The results clearly indicate a well structured, strategic planning outlined in the formal documents. Virtualisering och övervakning är två snabbt växande områden inom IT-branschen. Denna rapport behandlar övervakningen av databas-servrar med hjälp av två olika verktyg, op5 monitor samt VMware vCenter.Det svenska företaget op5 AB har utvecklat op5 monitor och detta verktyg används idag av flera stora företag för att övervaka deras nätverkselement, Data Ductus är ett av dem. Ductus ligger i framkant när det kommer till systemövervakning men är i behov att utöka sin övervakning på databas-servrar. Uppdraget antogs därför av oss att hitta en lösning som ska kunna implementeras i deras produktionsmiljö.Beskrivningar presenteras av de teoretiska delar som ingår i övervakning och virtualisering med VMware ESXi. En lösning för att övervaka Microsofts databasserver i op5 tas fram och testas, lösningen görs så generell som möjligt för att den lätt ska kunna tas i bruk.Även en jämförelse mellan fysisk och virtuell övervakning granskas och perl-programmet check mssql health används som mall för att skapa checkar av intressanta mätvärden att övervaka hos en databas-server.Felkällor och förbättringar samt framtida arbete diskuteras och slutsatsen dras att op5 är det överlägsna övervakningsverktyget på grund av dess flexibilitet..

This is a qualitative study based on interviews with professionals who are cooperating at a children advocacy center, in swedish called ?Barnahus?. The center, Barnahus, pulls together law enforcement, criminal justice, child protective service, medical and mental health workers in to one coordinated team. Children suspected to be victims of any kind of violence or sexual abuse shall, at Barnahus, be offered coordinated efforts and support all the way from suspicion to possible intervention. The aim of the study is to examine how the participants involved relate to collaboration in Barnahus. The study will also present the success factors and barriers to collaboration that identifies by the participating actors, who are mentioned above.The study will provide insight and understanding of how collaboration can be represented in multiprofessional activities in practice..

This paper is about the use of task boards in agile system development projects. The main focus is on how digitalized versions of the task board can be of assistance during the development process. Our investigation is based on qualitative studies, with system developers of various backgrounds and professional roles, along with studies of relevant literature. The main results are that a digitized version of the task board can increase awareness for the team and be of major importance if it is accessible through the web. On the other hand negative effects of the digitalization can emerge as well.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka vad som krävs för att specialläraren med inriktning utvecklingsstörning ska kunna skapa ett samarbetsklimat inom teamet som ger optimala förutsättningar för elevernas lärande och utveckling. Arbetet har utgått från tidigare forskning kring ledarskap i skolan, träningsskolans pedagogiska praktik och betydelsen av delaktighet och samarbete i arbetslivet. Ett historiskt avstamp har gjorts utifrån synen på hur utvecklingsstörning utvecklats, samt hur särkolan vuxit fram.  Studien har utgått från ett kvalitativt perspektiv, där jag genom en fenomenologisk ansats sökt förståelse kring speciallärarens roll som teamledare. För att undersöka hur speciallärarens sätt att leda och fördela arbetet inom personalteamet kan påverka ansvarsfördelningen, känslan av sammanhang och därmed även möjligheterna till måluppfyllelse för eleverna har jag genomfört gruppintervjuer av befintliga personalteam.

AimThe Swedish government has allocated a milliard Swedish Crowns on the project ?Ett handslag med idrotten?, (A handshake with sports), to make it possible for more children to participate in sports. The project goes on for four years and my work is an evaluation of the projects that have received fundings from Gästriklans Idrottsförbund for the second year. One aim is to see how many pupils that have been involved with the projects and especially the numbers of pupils earlier not active in a sport club and the number of girls. It is interesting to see what?s in common in the sport clubs that have had a large number from those two groups.

Uppsatsen syftet är att undersöka vilka metoder lärare på en skola  i Sverige och  på en skola i Tyskland använder sig av för att minska elevens oönskade beteende i skolan. Samtidigt undersöks vilka regler det finns i skollagen i respektive land när det gäller just den aspekten. Intresset för frågeställningen uppstod när jag började vikariera inom olika svenska högstadieskolor. Jag upplevde att det fanns ett annorlunda redskap för lärare, som jag har mött, i de svenska skolorna än i de tyska. Den övergripande frågan är: Hur korrigerar lärare det som uppmärksammats som störande beteende och vad förmedlar skollagar om korrigerande? Utgångspunkten för frågeställningen är Marcus Samuelssons avhandling ?Störande elever ? korrigerande lärare, om regler, förväntningar och lärares åtgärder mot störande flickor och pojkar i klassrummet?.

This is a study of an experimental project called ?Eget företagande ? egen försörjning?. The aim of this thesis is to explore if the course self-employment in Swedish for immigrants will become a permanent activity. The study is based on interviews with participants from the projects management team and the interviews has been analysed with methodological inspiration from Jonas Söderlunds project competence model. The focus lies in the participant?s perception of the project work and their thoughts about the permanent activity of self-employment in the future.

Our study describes how much influence and importance Zlatan Ibrahimovic has on a part of Malmö called Rosengård where he himself grew up. We made interviews with 16 children in the ages of six to ten. The theoretic views applied in this study come from Robert Connell?s Notions of masculinity and William Corsaro?s Sociology of childhood. The questions we answer in this study are; if Zlatan has any influence on the children in Rosengård? How do children and media look at Zlatan and the myth that surrounds him? How does the picture of Zlatan Ibrahimovic get constructed amongst the children? How does hegemonic masculinity present itself amongst the peer-cultures of the children in Rosengård? Our study shows that Zlatan has no influence amongst the children we interviewed.

In recent years, agile software development methods have become increasingly popular throughout the world. Today there are a number of different agile methods and they all rest on the Agile Manifesto that was formulated in 2001 as a reaction to the traditional software processes.The aim of this thesis is to make a survey of some of the agile methods used today and to see how they are being used in practice. It consists of two parts: a literature study and an interview study with people working in the software business. First, a definition of agile methods is proposed and a number of different agile methods are described. Second, the interviews are being analysed with special focus on communication, collaboration, expectations and results.

My essay is about a dilemma that came up on a preschool that I worked in. My purpose with my essay is to examine and to get an understanding for what children with attachement and separation anxiety goes through, and how a preschool teacher the best way can help them.The background story is about a boy named Sixten (not his real name). When separated from one of the preschool teachers Sixten exhibits a great deal of separation anxiety. In the story I give some clear examples of situations where Sixten displays this separation anxiety. I have in the essay viewed it from different perspectives and I have questioned my own role as an educator, but also my entire team.

AbstractThe aim: The aim of the study was to describe what women are most satisfied with in maternity care and if women´s childbirth experiences can be described by means of the QPP-I, who contains 32 statements related to maternity care. Design: The study is part of a national cross-sectional study which lasted for two weeks in Sweden in 2007. This paper analyzes one of the two questions with open answers, which reads: "What was the best with maternity care??. Results: The results showed that out of a total of 735 responses 717 could be placed in the existing instrument QPP-I.

I detta examensarbete undersöks vilka arbetssätt som lärare och respektive elever anser meststimulerar lärandet på gymnasiet i kursen rörlig bild, samt vilka kompetenser de anser är viktigainför det kommande yrkeslivet. Undersökningen har utgått från den kvalitativaforskningsmetoden som utgörs av åtta stycken intervjuer varav fyra är lärare och fyra elever. Avundersökningen framkom det att de arbetssätt som stimulerade lärandet mest är när elevernafår arbeta praktiskt och i grupp samt under yrkesmässiga arbetsformer. Även den kreativtskapande kraften är central för lärandet. De kompetenser som ansågs vara viktiga för yrkeslivetvar förmågan att se helheten i alla led med arbetet kring rörlig bild, samt elevens förmåga attsamarbeta och interagera med andra i ett team..

The purpose of this master's thesis is to examine how the public library communicates with young users through the library web sites. Four Swedish public library web pages for children are analysed. In the analysis the web pages are treated as a combination of semiotic resources that, communicating as a whole, hold a meaning potential. In order to identify the underlying meaning of the whole I have applied the tools of Kress' & van Leeuwen's visual social semiotics to the chosen web pages.The information value, the framing and the salience of each composition is examined and analysed, as is the size of frame, the perspective and the vertical angle of a selection of images from each web page. The results of the semiotic analysis are then discussed and related to Jochumsen et al:s four space-model and the notion of ?child perspective? and ?empowerment?.The results show that the child perspective is strongest on the web pages that represent the performative space as dominating and that empowerment is mainly represented as ?doing?, ?participating? and the ?free choice?.

Nurses have an important role caring with the suicidal patient as they often are the first to encounter these individuals. In order to develop their skills, nurses need to understand the complexity of the problem around the thoughts of wanting to die. The purpose of the study was to compile and elucidate research that describes how nurses can provide care to suicidal patients. The method used was a literature review. The results were divided into seven themes that can guide the nurse in the work: to be there, give time and listen, to recognize and assess risk factors, working in a team, to be attentive to own attitudes, to give hope, to be able to process their feelings, increased knowledge of the causes of suicide.
